Normal people would be terrified of the idea of being locked up. Actually, it should be the normal reaction for most people.
In any case, Rise was never soone who could be called normal.
"Isn’t it weird if I say I’m looking forward to that?" Rise grinned, teasing.
Kamille also smiled, affected by Rise’s mood.
"Not weird," he denied. Even if it was, for him, it was not.
Rise burst out laughing. Kamille indulged him; the way he loved it. "Soon. Maybe."
And just like how Kamille indulged him, he also liked to do the sa.
Kamille could finally suppress it and bite those unruly lips. Rise giggled but soon deepened the kiss.
Their work was not done. According to Rise’s plan, this had to be done before the war between the two worlds erupted. He would not let their world reap any benefits.
After all, for him, this world was already their property!
Before a huge event, Rise and Kamille wandered everywhere. Sotis camping, but other tis they just continued on a journey with Baby.
"My dad wants to register Riri under his na," Rise propped on his chin. "But I didn’t agree."
Kamille listened to him attentively. Rise continued. Baby was still moving; their surroundings just passed by.
"Riri should be under our nas, don’t you agree?"
Kamille nodded silently. Rise then revealed a thoughtful look. His fingers played with Kamille. Tis like this, where he only spoke, and Kamille listened, were not exactly rare, but this mont was.
Recently, they had been through a lot of things, and talking leisurely like this was hard to co by.
Rise treasured such monts, even if he also loved fighting with Kamille’s side.
"You know how I love keeping monsters as pets. I don’t know why, but I prefer to be with them sotis over other people." Rise chuckled, thinking he was truly abnormal.
"Like my baby here, I raised it since it was a cub. This is a monster that has the potential to be S-class, too. It’s dangerous, but I don’t care. Now, with Riri... is it weird if I’m so attached to him now?"
Rise loved his baby behemoth, but he raised it since it was a cub; obviously, he would be attached to it. Yet, Riri, had only known him for about two months.
"I get what you an," Kamille agreed. "I’m feeling the sa." He caressed Rise’s cheek. "Like... He’s our own."
Rise paused and stared at Kamille, slightly dumbfounded. He had not expected to hear these words co from Kamille, especially now that he had been awakened as a noble. Where did that even co from?
However, it was not for long, and Rise’s focus was drawn to what Kamille just said. Rise beca lost in thought. The first ti he saw Riri, he was rely intrigued by his ability and the way he was not scared to die.
If anything, he was prepared for it.
Rise thought it was interesting and wanted to see how destiny would work when Riri did not die as he expected. He was also quite surprised by how Riri slowly attached to them and was deeply at that.
He even went to find Riri, one of the top on his priority list.
Now, thinking about it, Rise realized that Riri truly had a connection with him. It was not entirely blood-related but sothing deeper than that.
Was their discovering Riri in that gate a coincidence or not?
"Are you implying he’s our child?" Rise did not want to make it too serious, so he made a joke. His chuckle gradually faded when Kamilel did not deny.
Rise was once again taken aback.
"How is that possible? And he’s a monster?" Rise did not know how their conversation suddenly evolved into guessing whether Riri was their child or not. Not to ntion just the race difference, but they were both n.
Kamille shrugged. "I don’t know either."
He was just as clueless. Common sense said otherwise, but he did not know why he had that feeling. What he was about to reveal was simply outrageous.
The mont he said it, Rise’s jaw dropped as he blinked, as though contemplating if everything was real.
Kamille’s lips hooked up into an amused smile.
"Don’t make fun of !" Rise complained. "Wow. Can you really feel... sothing like that?" He was not convinced at all.
This was Kamille, soone he trusted the most in this world. Yet, Rise could not believe it at all.
"I’m not sure. I need to et him to be certain."
Kamille only rembered this, or more like finally addressed this, when Rise talked about Riri. He was too focused on Rise to think about anything else.
Rise stared at Kamille, almost accusingly.
"Are you sure... He’s connected to you, sohow?"
Kamille nodded. It was faint before; Kamille only thought such a monster was interesting. And Rise liked it; he had no opinion about keeping Riri.
After he awakened as a noble and beca whole, his instincts and inheritance, etched in his soul, took over. The reason he knew that sothing far beyond was calling him. Only by connecting to it would he truly beco complete.
The other thing was connection, not just in a bloodline but more so with his identity. Rise was one. And Riri was another. They had the deepest connection to him.
Rise was etched in his soul by now, Kamille could tell. Throughout resets, Rise had fully carved his existence within him. It made sense to be that deeply connected to him. But, what about Riri?
"He can’t be our biological son." Rise still retained that rationality. At least, with their current information, no way Riri was their son.
That was too crazy to think about.
"Being connected to him, did not an he’s related to you by blood, right?" Rise asked to confirm.
"Yes." While he could tell by now whether soone was his descendant, he had yet to et Riri. They could assu he was not.
Rise stared at Kamille while lost in thought.
Wow. This was the first ti Rise was extrely dumbfounded. Not even being a character in a book gave him such a reaction.
He was so sure that it was his first ti seeing Riri the last ti. So, the connection should not happen in their last reset.
"Maybe, we know him in other resets."
That was the only logical explanation here.
