After enduring a long lecture from both his father and mother, Lucas finally retreated to his room.

The mont he pushed open the door and saw the familiar old bed, he could only sigh helplessly.

Back at the Fingal Hotel, he had been sleeping on premium mattresses worth thousands of dollars. Every night felt like sinking into a cloud. But now, standing in front of this ancient bed, the difference was simply brutal.

The mattress was so thin it felt no thicker than a sheet of paper. Years of use had worn it down completely, and the springs beneath creaked loudly with the slightest movent.

Lucas seriously suspected that the bed had been passed down through several generations before finally ending up in his room.

After changing his clothes, he lay down carefully.

Creak.

The entire bed fra groaned in protest.

The wooden boards beneath him dug into his back, making it impossible to find a comfortable position no matter how much he shifted around.

For the first ti in his life, he truly understood how quickly people could beco spoiled.

Just a few weeks ago, he would have slept here without a single complaint.

Now?

After experiencing luxury suites, king-sized beds, room service, and all the comforts money could buy, returning to this bed felt like a form of punishnt.

Lucas let out a helpless laugh.

"Looks like I’ve really gotten addicted to the good life."

Still, despite the discomfort, a warm feeling slowly spread through his chest.

This room might be old.

But this was ho.

With thoughts of his family’s future filling his mind, he slowly drifted into a peaceful sleep.

The next morning, Lucas woke up earlier than usual. For once, he wasn’t thinking about livestreams, rebates, or university drama. His mind was focused entirely on one thing: buying a house for his parents. The thought alone filled him with excitent. After seeing the condition of the apartnt they had been living in for years, he couldn’t wait any longer. The sooner he got them out of that place, the better.

After washing up, Lucas practically rushed his parents through breakfast. Elena couldn’t help shaking her head at his enthusiasm.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" she asked. "Houses aren’t going anywhere."

Lucas simply grinned.

"Maybe not, but I am."

Seeing how determined he was, Noah and Elena finally gave up arguing and followed him out.

The destination Lucas had chosen was Skyreach Developnts, the most famous real estate company in Dustford. The previous night, he had spent hours researching the local housing market. Since he was buying a ho for his parents, he had no intention of settling for sothing average. If he was going to do this, then he would buy the best property available.

By the ti they arrived, the large glass building of Skyreach Developnts stood proudly in front of them. The office looked luxurious from the outside, with polished marble walls and huge promotional banners displaying upscale residential projects.

Lucas nodded in satisfaction.

At least from the outside, it looked worthy of being the number one real estate company in Dustford.

Unfortunately, that impression lasted less than a minute.

The mont the three of them stepped inside, Lucas frowned.

The spacious showroom was filled with employees, but instead of helping custors, most of them seed completely occupied with anything except work. So were chatting with each other. So were scrolling through their phones with their heads down. One woman was casually fixing her nails while another sat lazily in her chair watching videos.

A few glanced toward the entrance when Lucas and his parents walked in.

Then they imdiately looked away.

As though the three of them didn’t exist.

Elena’s face instantly darkened.

She had already been against coming here in the first place. In her opinion, companies like this only specialized in charging outrageous agency fees while selling overpriced properties.

"I told you," she muttered quietly. "These places only care about rich people. We should’ve gone to the local realtor I told you about."

Lucas remained silent.

Truthfully, he wasn’t impressed either.

But he wasn’t ready to give up yet.

After all, this was supposedly the best real estate company in Dustford.

Surely soone would do their job.

With that thought, Lucas walked over to a nearby desk where a well-dressed saleswoman was sitting.

Just as he opened his mouth to speak, the woman glanced up briefly.

"Hi, I’m interested in..."

Before Lucas could even finish his sentence, she stood up and walked away.

Just like that.

No greeting.

No apology.

No explanation.

Nothing.

Lucas stood there for several seconds, completely dumbfounded.

Even Noah’s eyebrows twitched.

Elena looked ready to explode.

"What kind of service is this?" she said angrily. "Do they think custors are invisible?"

Lucas clenched his jaw.

Even he was beginning to lose patience.

Just as he was considering leaving and finding another company, the glass doors suddenly opened.

A middle-aged man with an enormous belly strutted into the showroom.

The man’s expensive suit looked like it was fighting for its life just trying to contain him. His gold watch sparkled under the lights, and several luxury car keys dangled from his fingers.

The reaction was imdiate.

Every female employee who had ignored Lucas monts ago suddenly sprang into action.

One after another, they rushed toward the man with bright smiles plastered across their faces.

"Good morning, Mr. Carter!"

"Welco back!"

"Would you like to see our newest properties?"

Even the woman who had just ignored Lucas practically shoved him aside while hurrying over.

If not for his enhanced physique, he might have actually stumbled.

The scene left Elena utterly disgusted.

Her opinion of the company imdiately dropped to rock bottom.

"So that’s how it is," she said coldly. "Ignore ordinary custors and worship rich ones."

Lucas simply watched quietly.

Honestly, he couldn’t even bla them.

The irony was that he was probably wealthier than the fat man.

The problem was that nobody here knew it.

Just as Lucas was about to give up and walk out, another figure suddenly entered the showroom from a side hallway.

This ti, it was a young woman.

Unlike the others, she wasn’t dressed provocatively or standing around chatting. She was carrying a stack of docunts while moving hurriedly between offices. A few loose strands of hair had escaped from her ponytail, and a thin layer of sweat covered her forehead.

It was obvious she had been working nonstop.

When she noticed Lucas standing alone near the entrance, she imdiately changed direction and walked toward him.

"Hello."

Her voice was pleasant but slightly breathless.

"My na is Lana."

As she spoke, she quickly adjusted the na badge hanging crookedly on her chest.

Clearly, she had been too busy to even notice it.

Lucas studied her briefly.

Compared to the other employees, Lana was stunning. Her features were delicate, her figure was excellent, and her natural beauty easily surpassed most of the won in the showroom.

More importantly, she looked like the only person actually doing her job.

For so reason, Lucas imdiately felt more comfortable speaking with her.

"Hi," he replied with a smile. "I’m Lucas. I’m interested in purchasing a house."

The mont Lana heard that, her professional smile beca even brighter.

"Then you’ve co to the right place," she said. "Could you tell your budget and what type of property you’re looking for?"

Lucas thought for a mont before answering.

"Why don’t you tell what you currently have available first?"

Lana nodded and imdiately began introducing various properties.

From standard family hos to luxury bungalows and duplex villas, she carefully explained each option in detail. She discussed locations, anities, square footage, nearby schools, transportation routes, and future developnt plans.

At first, Lucas listened attentively.

Ten minutes later, however, he felt his brain beginning to shut down.

One hundred square ters.

Two hundred square ters.

Garden area.

Parking spaces.

Community facilities.

The endless stream of numbers was giving him a headache.

Finally, he raised a hand.

"Lana."

She stopped speaking imdiately.

"Yes?"

Lucas smiled.

"What is the biggest property Skyreach Developnts currently has available in Dustford?"

Lana froze.

For a brief mont, she wondered if she had heard him correctly.

Over ninety percent of the custors she t every day spent their ti asking for discounts, paynt plans, and cheaper alternatives.

Very few people even looked at high-end properties.

But asking for the biggest property available?

That was a question she almost never heard.

For the first ti since eting him, Lana looked at Lucas with genuine surprise.
