Lana carefully studied Lucas’s face, trying to determine whether he was joking.

After all, the property he was asking about was one of the most expensive hos in all of Dustford.

Yet no matter how closely she looked, Lucas’s expression remained calm and serious. There wasn’t the slightest hint that he was playing around.

Taking a deep breath, Lana decided to answer honestly.

"The largest property currently available is a luxury duplex located in Imperial Gardens," she explained. "The house sits on over 400 square ters of land and is considered one of our premium properties."

As she spoke, she pulled up several photos and handed him the brochure.

The mont Lucas saw the pictures, his eyes lit up.

The property was gorgeous.

A grand European-style exterior, a private garden, a spacious courtyard, and enough space for his entire family to live comfortably.

Compared to the cramped apartnt his parents had been renting for years, this place was practically a palace.

"How much?" Lucas asked directly.

Lana hesitated slightly.

Seeing that he was still serious, she decided not to make assumptions.

"I’ll need to confirm the latest price," she said politely.

A few minutes later, after making a phone call, she returned.

"The current selling price is twenty million dollars."

The mont the number left her mouth, she noticed Lucas pause briefly.

Naturally, Lana misunderstood his reaction.

Twenty million dollars.

Most people would be shocked.

Even many wealthy families would need ti to think about a purchase of that size.

Thinking she had scared him away, Lana quickly smiled.

"If that’s beyond your budget, I can show you so other properties. We have several excellent options that are much more affor—"

Before she could finish speaking, Lucas interrupted.

"I’ll take it."

Lana froze.

"...What?"

"I said I’ll take it."

The smile on her face disappeared.

For a second, she genuinely thought she had misheard him.

"You... want Imperial Gardens?"

Lucas nodded.

"Bring the docunts."

Lana’s heart started racing.

She hurriedly ran off and returned with a thick stack of paperwork, including the installnt agreent.

Trying to remain professional, she explained carefully.

"For this property, the standard plan requires a five million dollar down paynt. The remaining balance can be spread across ten years at approximately one hundred and thirty thousand dollars per month."

Lucas glanced at the papers for less than two seconds before pushing them aside.

"No need."

Lana blinked.

"No need?"

"I’m paying in full."

The words landed like a thunderbolt.

"In... full?"

"Yes."

Lucas casually pulled out his bank card and placed it on the table.

"Swipe it."

At that mont, Lana’s brain nearly stopped functioning.

Twenty million dollars.

Paid in full.

No mortgage.

No installnts.

No negotiations.

Just one paynt.

For several seconds she simply stared at the card lying on the table.

Then she quickly grabbed the POS machine and processed the transaction.

As the loading icon spun on the screen, her palms beca sweaty.

The amount was so large that even the machine seed to be struggling.

A few seconds passed.

Then ten.

Then fifteen.

Lucas frowned slightly.

"Did it fail?"

Lana swallowed nervously.

"I... I don’t know."

Suddenly—

Transaction Successful.

The words appeared on the screen.

For a mont, the entire world seed to go silent.

Lana’s eyes widened.

It actually went through.

Twenty million dollars.

Paid instantly.

Then another thought struck her.

Commission.

Her commission.

This particular property carried a special sales bonus.

Instead of the normal ten percent commission, the company offered twenty percent to whichever employee successfully sold it.

Twenty percent of twenty million dollars.

Four million dollars.

Four.

Million.

Dollars.

Lana nearly fainted from happiness.

Her hands trembled so badly she almost dropped the machine.

anwhile, the notification had already appeared on the company’s internal sales system.

Imdiately, the entire sales floor exploded.

"What?!"

"Imperial Gardens sold?"

"Twenty million?!"

"Who sold it?"

Every employee turned toward Lana’s desk.

The mont they saw the transaction details, their faces instantly turned pale.

Especially the won who had ignored Lucas earlier.

Regret hit them like a truck.

Just minutes ago, they had been fighting over another custor.

Mr. Carter who they all rushed to was trying to buy a one-million-dollar property.

Not only was he unable to pay in full, but he was bargaining over every detail.

He wanted to put down only one hundred thousand dollars and stretch the remaining paynts over twenty years.

The saleswon had spent almost an hour trying to convince him to reduce the term to fifteen years.

Yet he kept arguing.

Compared to him, Lucas had quietly walked in and purchased a twenty-million-dollar mansion without even blinking.

The difference was enough to make them cry blood.

Instantly, they abandoned the other custor.

One after another, they rushed toward Lucas.

"Good morning, sir!"

"Would you like so tea?"

"Sir, would you like to explain our other luxury developnts?"

"Sir, here’s my business card."

The sudden enthusiasm was almost laughable.

Lucas didn’t even bother looking at them.

He simply ignored them completely.

Their smiles stiffened.

Then, just as the atmosphere beca awkward, a sharp voice suddenly rang out.

"You don’t have the authority to sell this property!"

The entire office fell silent.

Everyone turned toward the speaker.

It was one of the senior saleswon.

A beautiful woman with heavy makeup and an expensive outfit.

At that mont, her face was filled with jealousy.

She pointed directly at Lana.

"You’re only an intern!"

"You have no right to handle a sale of this level!"

Lucas’s expression darkened instantly.

He hadn’t expected soone to be shaless enough to say sothing like that out loud.

anwhile, the other saleswon quickly exchanged glances.

Seeing the size of the commission involved, greed imdiately overwheld reason.

One after another, they began nodding in agreent.

"That’s right."

"An intern shouldn’t be handling premium properties."

"This sale should be reviewed."

"It violates company policy."

A mont ago, none of them cared about company policy.

Now that four million dollars was involved, everyone suddenly beca an expert on the rules.

Even the custor they had been desperately trying to please earlier was completely forgotten.

The poor man stood alone near the reception area, staring blankly as every salesperson in the office abandoned him to fight over Lucas’s sale.

The scene was so ridiculous that even Lucas almost laughed.

Money really did reveal people’s true colors.
