After receiving the prompt from the system, Michael was once again surprised. He had not expected that the system had handled the issue of the theses as well.
After doing a quick check online, Michael realized that the theses would only be posted after soone was awarded with their degree or PhD.
Since this issue had already been handled, it was clear that the system had handled everything without leaving behind any loopholes.
For the PhD, it was quite normal for the desertion defense, which was usually public. But sotis, there would be a private or closed defense.
But of course, in so universities, it was usually not a requirent to defend the thesis.
For his case, Michael was not sure about what would happen, considering that he had not attended any defense, public or private.
[For the host’s case, it is considered that the university granted a defense exemption due to exceptional work submitted by the host.]
Receiving that explanation from the system, Michael could finally be at ease. This way, he would not have to worry much about anything, in case he claid that he was a doctor of philosophy.
Thinking about it, Michael could not help but think, should he just acquire PhDs for his 18 skills? Of course, out of the 18 skills that he currently possessed, the chef skills, unard combat skills, driving skills, swimming, songwriting, marksmanship and drawing, none of them qualified for a PhD. (Drawing replaced programming skills. I had two programming skills.)
They were skills or professions, not academic research disciplines. But for the others, it was definitely possible for him to be able to obtain a PhD.
But then, he thought, since he acquired a PhD that was considered to be legitimate, then it was clear that his information would have to be sent to a university.
If it happened that his information was sent to the sa university several tis, each ti for a PhD on a different field, it would definitely raise alerts.
At that ti, if soone ca to find that Michael had several PhDs at his young age, they would definitely suspect sothing.
First of all, they might suspect that the PhDs had been bought, implying that he did not have the qualifications to obtain them.
But at the sa ti, if they found everything to be valid, they would be curious about Michael himself. At that ti, it would not be out of question that so might try to put him on the operating table.
They might want to cut out his brain, just to see how it was. And, understanding that this was not because of himself, but instead, because of the system, Michael could not allow himself in such a position.
Of course, he could resist, considering that he had the ability of obtaining bio humans from the system store, and could basically create an army for himself.
But at the mont, Michael was not willing to rebel. He was not having the temptation of going against the governnt, or even the world itself.
He just wanted a peaceful life, no need to fight against the world. World domination, he would do it the right way, not by shedding blood or the sort.
Deciding to set aside this matter for the ti being, he thought, he did not need to acquire anymore PhDs. After all, at the mont, he was not strong enough.
But at the sa ti, in the future, when he beca strong enough, why would he even need the degrees?
Those were just used to prove sothing, to show value of the effort that people had put in. But for Michael, all of his effort was rewarded with mastery of skills and SP.
So, there was basically no need for him to acquire the PhD. Additionally, in the future, if he was strong enough, why would he need to prove himself in front of anyone?
Setting aside this matter, Michael looked at the ti, realizing that it was already 2 p.m.
Initially, he planned to acquire another skill, but in the end, he decided to deal with anything but would end up distracting him.
At the mont, it was the issue concerning Kate’s grandfather. So, he texted Kate, informing her that he was ready to et with her grandfather.
As for where to et, he asked her to decide.
{Kate: Okay, let ask my grandpa first. I will inform you of the location.}
Just about 2 minutes later, Kate sent yet another ssage.
{Kate: Let’s et at Crown hotel. My grandpa was there to et with an old acquaintance, and he is still there.}
After getting the location, Michael was prepared to leave when suddenly, his phone began ringing.
Checking who was calling, he realized that it was Kate. Receiving the call, he asked with a slightly confused voice, "Have you changed your mind or sothing?"
"No, I just wanted to co by your place. I’m not far from there, as I was buying sothing at Eastview plaza. I’m about to reach your place." Kate responded over the phone.
"Okay, you can find downstairs." Michael responded, before leaving the apartnt. He was currently wearing a light polo shirt and slim gray trousers, with white sneakers.
This ti, in the basent, he did not get inside the Koenigsegg. It was too eye-catching. So, he decided to drive the A8 w12 Audi A8 that Adrian had bought the previous day.
This was sothing that Michael had requested for, as he had realized driving the Koenigsegg, while it was quite enjoyable, it was too attention grabbing.
So, when heading to places like Crown Hotel, where he was going now, it was better to drive so low-key vehicles.
The Audi only cost around $90,000, which to Michael, it was nothing expensive at all.
As he drove the car out of the underground parking lot, he coincidentally found that Kate, dressed in a pink t-shirt and blue jeans, was just alighting from a cab.
This made him slightly speechless. Why did she not directly head to the hotel, instead of coming here first?
Regardless, he waited, as Kate got into the car, before he began driving towards Crown Hotel.
"You haven’t gotten back your car yet?" Michael casually asked while driving.
"Soone borrowed it." Kate responded simply.
Michael could not help but raise his brows slightly as he looked at Kate. She seed to be quite low.
"Anything happened?" After a mont of hesitation, he decided to ask.
"You should already know about it. It is about the engagent that Raymond talked about the other day. They are about to finalize things, yet I just can’t seem to be able to change it. Even my mother cannot stop it from happening." Kate responded with a gloomy expression on her face.
"Well, instead of resisting when you know that you cannot avoid it, why not just try to adapt? At least, try to look at it from a positive angle, while trying to ignore the negatives." Michael suggested.
To him, Kate’s engagent to soone did not have much of an impact on him. After all, it was not as though they had gotten used to each other to the extent that he would feel bad if she was married by soone else.
"Hey, don’t you feel sorry for at all?" Kate suddenly asked as she glared at Michael.
"I can feel sorry, but what can I do? It is not as though I can make your family change their minds, right?" Michael asked.
When he said those words, Kate’s eyes suddenly lit up. She looked at Michael and said, "You can absolutely do that! How about this? You can pretend to have the intention of getting engaged to .
Then, my family will find that you are better than the partner that they have found for . That way, they can cancel the other engagent, planning to engage to you.
Then, in case you are reluctant, we can always say that you have family arrangents on your side, which will prevent you from getting engaged to .

Michael looked at Kate with a blank expression on his face. At the sa ti, he could not help but ask, "Are you sure that you are not trying to make your family co after ?"

"I’m not afraid of your family. Instead, I am afraid that if they try doing anything against , I might end up leaving you bankrupt." Michael responded with a slight chuckle.
With the system, if he decided to go all out, he could use aggressive thods, such as acquiring businesses from rivals, to acquiring advanced technology from the system store.
So, if he really decided to do that, it would be quite easy for him to be able to destroy the Morgan family, making them go bankrupt.
"Huh?" Kate on the other hand was dumbfounded by Michael’s words, as she had never thought that this was what he was thinking about when he first comnted about her family going after him.
But when she thought about it, she realized that it actually made sense. She could not understand how formidable Michael’s uncle was.
And from what had been shown until now, it was clear that this uncle was not that simple.
"Well, I really don’t mind you leaving bankrupt. At least, I will not be forced into a marriage. Additionally, maybe you can take care of then." Kate said with a carefree expression on her face.
