After discussing things with the town chief, I started working on building a periter wall for the village first as its first line of protection for whatever or whoever is not supposed to enter. As for the materials that will be used for it, I have everything I need in my storage due to my recent purchases and harvests during my trips.

Being that this is my second ti building a wall, I started with strategically marking where the "corner posts" for the future periter fence will be. I call it a fence since it would be made of wood but it is more of a wall with the size that I decided to work on. I could definitely make a round fence if I wanted to but to be safe and make sure it is supported well and sturdy enough, I made the fence into a hexagon shape so there would be 6 corners and maybe a few terminal posts here and there.

Much to the surprise of the townspeople and whoever is watching from within the surrounding area, I carried wooden logs that were roughly 15 feet long to the 6 markings I earlier made and started working on my own quietly.

To others, it may look like I simply used magic to strengthen my body and balance the wood on the flat ground but if they only looked closely, they will see that I was more of manipulating the log itself and the ground where it will be erected on. The soil softened, parted, gathered together and hardened for with just a few flicks of my fingers. The lower three feet of the logs were buried securely and quite easily into the ground. I also placed runes on the logs so they have auto-repair, harden, strengthen and reflect functions on them. The outer skin of this log is the only thing that is still wood as for the whole thing, I don’t know what to call it anymore.

Maybe a death trap, a front or a façade? Anyways, it looks too harmless compared to what it really is, honestly.

I started a few hours before sunrise, making sure not to bother anyone’s sleep. Just as the first rays of the sun ca out and a few of the early risers in town got up, the first thing that popped in front of their eyes was a 12-foot sturdy-looking and newly built periter wall for the town. This sudden change expectedly surprised the whole town because, well, it is not normal to complete such a big construction project in just a couple of hours with no sound at all.

Not even thinking about what the bandits would think or feel the mont they see the wall, I continued my own things by asking the chief for unused land that I can use as a trading post. I plan to build a smaller one for this place. As long as it makes this place a bit more accessible in terms of getting aid or earning money and resources through trading as well as expediting urgently needed communication, that should be good for everybody.

The chief also confird that there is no doctor in this town though so people have so knowledge of basic cures for common illnesses. They at least know what plants to put on wounds to stop the bleeding or stop it from festering, which ones to boil for drinking for pains in the stomach and handle diarrhea, which one to eat to soothe coughs, colds and flu, etc.

As for cases that are beyond what is considered common, the people can only pray that the person can just tough it out and get through it with sheer will. Limited dical knowledge definitely limits people’s chances of survival too.

After confirming which piece of land I could use, I built the trading post first without bothering to hide how fast I did it. I also decided to build a small clinic next to it. As for who will man and work for this clinic once I leave, I plan to give a quick training to anyone who is interested. Maybe I will ask the chief who in this village is skilled enough to take on this job.

I was honestly busy the whole day since I do not have much ti to spend for each territory from now on. I have my main job to do in the northern camps. Every village or town from here on out has to be handled by as efficiently as possible if I want to finish all the tasks within the current sester (three months) and return ho.

Gossip really travels fast, especially in a town that has a small population such as Ersha. In just a few hours after sunrise, miraculously, more people are outside their hos. Most of them are watching from afar while so are more courageous, standing near where I am and watching closely as I do my job. So were even conscious enough and started helping out in cleaning and preparing the land for construction without saying any word. I guess they understand that whatever I was doing will benefit the whole populace.

Though it did not help that much, I still appreciate help that was done without any words or asking for repaynt. I gave the few n and won so food items such as food and vegetables as a reward for their help which they gratefully (and tearfully) accepted. As for those who will help in the future, no rewards for them since I know how human minds work.

By about ten in the morning, I am done with not only the trading post and the clinic but I also created a community kitchen where everybody can butcher animals that were hunted, people can cook together to feed a huge number of people and have shared als to foster camaraderie. It is a small community so it is not so bad to do such activities once in a while.
