The sa kind of "teaching videos" Xarion had been watching just now?
Rory stared at the link Lola had sent her, but she didn’t dare open it right away. "I’ll watch it secretly when I get back."
There was no way she was going to socially self-destruct like Xarion.
Lola nodded in complete understanding. This sort of thing definitely required privacy.
After dinner, Lola returned to rest.
By the ti Rory ca back, Nix and Xarion had already finished eating and cleaned up everything outside the rest cabin.
Xarion had retreated to his crystal coffin and was scrolling through his light-brain again. Rembering what he had been watching earlier, Rory decided not to disturb him.
Better to avoid mutual embarrassnt.
No wonder he had suddenly beco so skilled—so he’d been studying those kinds of videos.
Rory stepped into the cabin. Nix was curled up on the living room sofa, staring intently at his light-brain.
Probably working, she assud.
Cotton Candy was huddled in a corner, looking suspiciously busy with sothing.
"Rory, you’re back." Nix imdiately tried to stand.
Rory stopped him. "Go on, finish what you’re doing. I’m heading to bed."
After spending the whole day searching for exotic fruits, she was genuinely tired.
"Okay!" Nix nodded and sat back down.
"Rest easy, Rory. Xarion and I are outside. No beast will disturb you."
"Mhm." Rory nodded and returned to the bedroom.
Outside, Nix reopened one of the links Yuel had sent earlier that day. The mont the audio played, he nearly jumped out of his skin.
Where did Yuel even get this kind of thing? Was he secretly not a serious person at all?
Panicked, Nix fumbled to mute the sound, but as he continued watching, his face slowly turned red.
He had just reached a crucial mont when a shadow suddenly fell over him.
"Ah—!" Nix almost shifted into his beast form from sheer fright.
"Xarion! It’s the middle of the night—why aren’t you sleeping in your coffin? What are you trying to scare for?"
Did this guy even make noise when he walked?
Nix hurriedly shut off his light-brain and stared as Xarion calmly pulled out more insect cores.
"Why are you giving cores again? Don’t tell you already finished the new links Yuel sent?"
Did he also have photographic mory?
Xarion shook his head.
"No."
He had opened them all, but none contained what he was currently looking for.
"I have a friend," Xarion said solemnly, "who asked to help him inquire whether there’s a way to make his Female Master take the initiative to cuddle him."
Nix blinked.
"I didn’t know soone who spends all day lying in a crystal coffin even had friends."
After a brief hesitation, he accepted the two Rank Ten insect cores.
"Sa rule as before. I’ll ask for you. If Yuel answers, the cores are mine. If he doesn’t, I’ll return them."
Xarion nodded, emphasizing carefully: "Not for . For my friend. Tell Yuel it’s your friend."
He absolutely could not let them know he didn’t know how to make his Female Master happy.
Nix would laugh at him for sure. "Yeah, yeah. My friend. My friend."
Nix quickly ssaged Yuel.
Nix: Yuel, I have a friend who wants to ask—do you know any way to make his Female Master cuddle him?
Yuel rolled his eyes at the screen.
"I have a friend"—such an ancient excuse. Nix would never co up with that himself.
It had to be Xarion.
Jasper was unconscious. That only left Xarion nearby.
So the ice wolf had started competing for affection, too?
Yuel glanced at the new equipnt he had just received and smiled faintly.
Yuel: There is a thod. But I’m afraid your "friend" might not dare to use it.
Nix imdiately showed the ssage to Xarion.
"Yuel says he has a thod—but your friend might not dare."
So far, Yuel hadn’t tricked him. Xarion believed Yuel treated Nix fairly well. He likely wouldn’t sabotage him.
After a brief pause, Xarion said, "Let him say it. I’ll tell my friend, and he can decide."
Nix relayed the ssage.
Yuel replied quickly.
Yuel: It’s simple. If your friend wants his Female Master to cuddle him more, first, he must ensure she doesn’t reject him.
First, let her know what he’s working with.
Second, seduce her in every possible way and spark her interest.
Once she’s interested, she’ll naturally draw close to him.
"What he’s working with..." Xarion lowered his gaze. "I understand."
He looked at Nix. "Thank you. The cores are yours."
After Xarion left, Nix reread the advice, then looked down at himself.
Back at the Hunter Alliance cabin, he had shown Rory before. She didn’t seem particularly impressed.
Did that an he... wasn’t well-equipped enough? What was he supposed to do about that?

In the bedroom, Rory had changed into her nightclothes and lay comfortably beside Jasper, opening her light-brain.
She lowered the volu to the barest whisper and tapped the link Lola had sent.
When the video loaded... Her eyes widened.
Beast God above. Was this really sothing she was allowed to watch?
Lola was incredible.
When she shared sothing, she really shared.
This was... intense.
Rory watched, utterly absorbed, completely unaware that the man beside her had just slightly moved his fingers... And slowly opened his eyes.
The bedroom lights were off. The glow of her screen drew Jasper’s newly awakened gaze.
His mind was still sluggish from sleep. He stared silently for nearly a full minute.
Beside him, the girl he loved watched the video while muttering softly to herself.
"So it’s actually a serpent male..."
"I heard snakes have two... I wonder if that’s true?"
She had only heard rumors. Jasper had never shown her before.
The mont she finished speaking, a warm hand suddenly covered her waist.
"If you want to know, you could just ask ." His low, husky voice brushed against her ear. "I’ll show you."
The light-brain slipped from Rory’s hand and landed on the bed. The faint, breathy sounds from the video suddenly filled the dark room.
Her blood seed to freeze.
The intertwined figures on the glowing screen felt unbearably conspicuous.
"Jasper... when... when did you wake up?"
Caught watching sothing like that, she wanted the ground to swallow her whole. Jasper’s arm wrapped around her from behind, his warmth enveloping her.
He easily picked up her fallen device. Cold light flickered across his sharply defined jawline.
With a single tap, the screen went dark.
His breath burned against her ear.
"Right when you started wondering whether snakes have two."
