Yue Yue collapsed, her limbs twitching violently. Every nerve in her body felt like it was being fried by white hot needles. She whimpered, her body curling into a ball as the shock lasted for a full, agonizing minute. When it finally stopped, she lay panting in the dust, her skin smoking and her heart fluttering weakly.

"What... what did you do?" Yue Yue whispered, her voice a broken thread.

Lin En laughed heartily, the sound bouncing off the silent Zerg standing guard. "Nothing, sister. Just a little gift from . It’s a Taming Collar. If you misbehave, if you speak back, or if you try to run... it will fry your brain. It’s enough to ta even the wildest."

Lin En stood up, smoothing her expensive dress and looking down at Yue Yue with total contempt.

"Now, get up. Follow , or I’ll give you another taste of the lightning. I’m sure you don’t want to find out what the ’Maximum Setting’ feels like."

Yue Yue trembled. The mory of the pain was still coursing through her mind, fresh and terrifying. She realized she couldn’t fight back right now. This bitch had truly lost her mind and had the tools to back up her madness.

Slowly, painfully, Yue Yue forced herself to stand. She followed Lin En through the gray fog, her legs shaking with every step.

After walking for a few minutes, the fog parted, and Yue Yue’s eyes widened in disbelief.

In the middle of this desolate, Zerg infested wasteland stood a magnificent, sprawling mansion. It was built with white marble and golden spires, looking like a palace from the ancient capital. It was completely out of place, protected by a shimring high tech energy shield that kept the dust and the monsters out.

"Welco to my real ho, Yue Yue," Lin En said, her voice full of smug pride as she walked toward the golden gates. "This is where your nightmare truly begins."

Yue Yue looked at the mansion and then at the collar around her neck. She was a prisoner in a paradise built on blood and madness. But as she stepped through the gates, she looked at her useless terminal one last ti.

Husbands... she thought, her eyes hardening. Please hurry. I don’t know how much longer she can hold on.

The marble floors of the mansion were cold, but not as cold as Lin En’s heart.

For the next few hours, Lin En treated Yue Yue like the lowest servant. She made the injured girl scrub the floors, pour her tea, and even polish her high heeled shoes. Every ti Yue Yue moved too slowly because of her wounds, or if she dared to glare at Lin En, the collar around her neck would beep.

Lin En looked at Yue Yue’s angry face and let out a soft, tinkling laugh. She stood up and walked over to the masked man, wrapping her arms around his neck in a possessive display.

"Oh, Yue Yue, don’t look so grumpy," Lin En whispered, her eyes dancing with malice. "You’ve been staring at my husband for so long. Are you curious? Husband, why don’t you remove your mask? Let my dear sister see your beautiful face."

Yue Yue froze. A strange, terrifying feeling began to crawl up her spine. She watched as the man’s gloved hands reached up. He slowly unbuckled the tactical mask and pushed back the deep hood of his cloak.

As the fabric fell away, Yue Yue felt like the world had stopped spinning. Her breath hitched, and her heart literally stopped beating for a full second.

The face behind the mask was one she saw in her dreams every night. The sharp, noble jawline, the cold but handso features, and those eyes... the eyes that used to look at her with such hidden tenderness.
