Under the pressure of that overwhelming aura, the whole Blood Demon Cave began to tremble violently. Dust and fragnts of stone fell from the ceiling while the ground quivered beneath everyone’s feet.
Within the dazzling light, the scattered energy gradually began to gather together. The brilliance condensed in the air until it slowly ford the outline of a human figure.
The figure that erged was tall and slender, dressed in flowing white robes. A suffocatingly powerful aura radiated from his body, accompanied by an aloof and noble presence that made him seem distant and untouchable. Standing there, he gave the impression of an immortal who had descended from the heavens.
This figure was none other than Xiao Fanyun.
"So powerful."
The mont Li Yun felt the aura emanating from the figure, a trace of shock appeared in his heart. However, that feeling was quickly followed by a sense of relief.
Fortunately, this was only a projection created from Xiao Fanyun’s power and not his true body descending here. If Xiao Fanyun himself had appeared in person, Li Yun knew that a single move from him would have been enough to kill him instantly.
Even so, the re projection of his power was already terrifying. It truly lived up to the reputation of the strongest expert on the Four Peaks Top Ten List.
"How dare you kill my brother!"
The mont the projection of Xiao Fanyun appeared, his gaze imdiately fell upon Xiao Feng’s lifeless body lying on the ground. A furious expression filled with chilling killing intent spread across his handso face.
His voice was not loud, and he had not even used any visible power. Yet the mont he spoke, the surrounding air began to tremble violently as if it were boiling. The pressure alone caused Li Yun and the others to feel a sharp pain in their ears.
"Senior Brother Xiao Fanyun, please listen to our explanation," Fu Ting said hurriedly. Her face had turned pale under the pressure as she stepped forward. "We never intended to kill your brother. However, Xiao Feng acted far too overbearing. We had no choice in the situation."
The terrifying presence of Xiao Fanyun made resistance seem impossible. Even Fu Ting struggled to maintain her composure as she spoke.
Xiao Fanyun looked down at them coldly.
"Overbearing?" he said calmly. "I do not care whether he was overbearing or sothing far worse. The only thing that matters to is that he lies dead while all of you are still alive."
His eyes turned colder as he finished speaking.
"That alone is reason enough for to kill every one of you."
"Fu Ting, there is no point speaking with soone like him. Do not waste your breath."
Li Yun spoke in a steady voice as he stopped her from continuing. Fu Ting had clearly intended to argue further, but after hearing his words she hesitated. Li Yun then stepped forward, his gaze fixed coldly upon the figure of Xiao Fanyun.
A faint smile appeared on his face as he spoke again.
"As expected of the number one genius on the Four Peaks Top Ten List. Your arrogance truly lives up to your reputation."
His tone grew colder as he continued.
"Unfortunately, if your real body had descended here today, you would indeed have the right to speak so arrogantly. But right now you are nothing more than a projection ford from a small fragnt of power, yet you still dare to act as though you rule over everyone here."
"Oh?"
Xiao Fanyun raised his brow slightly when he heard those words. His cold gaze fell upon Li Yun as he slowly examined him from head to toe.
"A re waste at the third level of the Xiantian Realm dares to speak to like this," he said calmly, though his voice carried a chilling edge. "You truly do not understand your own position."
His eyes narrowed slightly.
"You carry a sword, and my brother died by a sword. That ans you must be the one who killed him."
His expression hardened as killing intent surged from his body.
"Very well. I will take your life first so that you can accompany my brother in death."
"Die."
Xiao Fanyun’s arrogance was not limited to words. His actions were just as domineering. After identifying Li Yun as the one responsible, he did not waste another mont speaking. He simply raised his hand and extended a finger toward Li Yun.
His fingertip pressed lightly against the empty air.
In the next instant, a streak of Qi shot forward from his finger. The energy rapidly expanded as it moved, forming a massive finger of condensed Qi that descended from the air with overwhelming force. Wherever it passed, the surrounding space trembled violently under the pressure.
The terrifying attack imdiately caused Li Yun to sense the danger approaching.
’This strike is extrely powerful.’
Without hesitation, Li Yun activated his defensive technique.
"Crimson Lotus Fla Art."
Brilliant red flas erupted from his body and gathered around him. Within monts, the fire ford into a giant lotus that enclosed him at its center, its blazing petals creating a powerful defensive barrier.
The massive Qi finger crashed down against the crimson lotus with trendous force.
A thunderous explosion echoed through the hall as violent shockwaves spread outward in every direction.
Under the terrifying pressure of the attack, cracks slowly began to appear across the surface of the flaming lotus that protected Li Yun.
"Haha, do you really think a re defensive technique can save you from ?" Xiao Fanyun laughed loudly, his voice filled with arrogance. "Pathetic."
As he spoke, the enormous Qi finger continued to press down upon the crimson lotus. Thin cracks began to appear across the blazing petals. At first the fractures were small, but they spread steadily across the entire structure as the crushing force of the attack increased.
Within monts the cracks began to crawl across every part of the lotus like a spider’s web.
Li Yun narrowed his eyes as he watched the damage spread across the defensive barrier that surrounded him. He understood very clearly that the lotus would not last much longer. The overwhelming pressure from the giant Qi finger would soon shatter it completely.
Yet even as the cracks continued to spread, Li Yun remained calm. His lips moved slightly as he uttered a single word.
"Explode."
The instant those words left his mouth, the crimson lotus that surrounded him suddenly erupted. A violent burst of red flas exploded outward from the center, releasing a terrifying wave of destructive power.
The giant Qi finger that was pressing down from above was imdiately swallowed by the surging flas and destroyed along with the lotus itself.
Because Li Yun stood at the center of the lotus, he was the one who bore the full force of the explosion. His figure was instantly engulfed by the raging crimson flas that filled the entire area.
