A full day passed as Li Yun made his preparations.
When the Heaven Mandate Peak Head learned that he was about to leave, he personally ca to see him and handed him a precious treasure.
The treasure was known as the Void Pearl.
Once shattered, it could instantly tear through space and teleport its user to a certain direction according to his will. It was an extrely rare life saving item, ant only for monts of absolute danger.
The fact that the Heaven Mandate Peak Head entrusted such a treasure to him made it clear how much he valued Li Yun’s safety.
"This is perfect. With this, I have another layer of protection," Li Yun said quietly, a faint smile appearing on his face as he stored the pearl away.
After finishing his final preparations, he left Grand Ascension Peak and set out from Martial Ascension Gate, heading toward Red Cloud County.
However, Li Yun did not notice that the mont he stepped out of his residence, a pair of cold and venomous eyes had already locked onto him from the shadows of a dense bamboo forest nearby. Those eyes followed his every movent without blinking, filled with a chilling intent.
As soon as Li Yun departed, the owner of those eyes let out a low and eerie laugh.
"You finally decided to leave after half a year. This ti, you will not escape."
...
High in the sky, Li Yun hovered for a mont, holding a map in his hand. After studying it briefly, he put it away and looked ahead into the distance.
"According to the map, Red Cloud County may fall under the jurisdiction of Martial Ascension Gate, but it is extrely far from here. Even at full speed, it will take at least three days to arrive," he murmured.
The next mont, his figure moved.
Like a streak of light, he shot forward at incredible speed, covering several thousand ters in a single breath. His figure quickly shrank into the distance before vanishing completely into the vast sky.
Not long after he disappeared, a faint gray streak of light quietly erged from within Martial Ascension Gate. It paused for only a mont before following the exact path Li Yun had taken.
Two days passed in the blink of an eye.
During this ti, Li Yun traveled tens of thousands of miles without rest.
At this pace, he would reach Red Cloud County within one more day.
On this day, after flying continuously for a long ti, Li Yun finally began to feel a trace of fatigue.
The exhaustion did not co from a lack of qi. Instead, it stemd from the constant control he had to maintain over his body.
With his weight now increased to one thousand tis its original mass, even though he had mastered the qi control needed to move freely, sustaining that level of precision for an entire day and more of uninterrupted flight placed a heavy burden on him.
Wanting to recover, Li Yun descended from the sky and landed atop a mountain that rose a hundred ters high.
He found a clean and level spot, then sat down cross legged and began to rest quietly. Ti passed slowly, and after several hours, his breathing gradually stabilized.
Then suddenly, everything changed.
A violent gust of wind swept across the mountaintop, sending sand and stones spiraling into the air.
At the sa mont, a powerful sense of danger surged through Li Yun’s heart. His eyes snapped open, and a sharp light burst from them as he looked up toward the thick clouds above.
"Who is there? Show yourself!" he shouted coldly.
A voice soon echoed from the sky, filled with chilling intent.
"Li Yun, this place is surrounded by mountains and rivers. It is quite fitting as your burial ground. You have chosen your grave well."
As the words fell, the temperature seed to drop instantly. A bone chilling aura spread through the air, causing even soone as composed as Li Yun to feel his body tense.
His muscles tightened, and the vast reserve of chaos qi within him began to surge violently. It flowed through his ridians like a roaring river, placing his entire body into a state of complete readiness. His gaze remained locked on the sky above.
Before he could react further, a furious roar rang out.
"Die!"
A massive burst of qi erupted within the clouds, condensing into a gigantic handprint that covered the sky. It tore through the air and descended with overwhelming force, as if it intended to crush everything beneath it.
When Li Yun saw this attack he also saw the person behind it, his expression changed imdiately.
"Mo Xuanyu... it is actually you!"
Shock filled his eyes.
Part of that shock ca from the terrifying power contained within the descending handprint, which gave him an intense sense of danger. The other part ca from the identity of his attacker. He had never expected that Mo Xuanyu, the First Seat of Earth Pillar Peak, would personally make a move against him.
However, the Li Yun of today was no longer the sa as before.
He had already stepped into the Qi Sea Realm, and his strength had increased by countless tis compared to when he was only at the seventh level of the Xiantian Realm.
Although he still could not directly contend with a powerhouse like Mo Xuanyu, who stood at the Essence Qi Realm above him, he was no longer powerless.
He had the ability to resist.
Crackle!
Blue lightning erupted around Li Yun’s body as he instantly activated the Heavenly Lightning Battle Armor. Brilliant arcs of lightning wrapped around him, forming a radiant armor, while a pair of lightning wings unfolded behind his back.
With a single flap of those wings, his figure vanished like a streak of blue light, reappearing far beyond the range of the descending qi palm.
Boom!
The massive palm strike missed its target and slamd directly into the mountain where Li Yun had been standing. The terrifying force erupted in full, and the entire hundred ter mountain was reduced to dust in an instant. A deep, pitch black crater shaped like a giant palm appeared on the ground, radiating destruction.
The impact sent debris and sand flying in all directions. Dust filled the sky and blotted out the sunlight, turning the surroundings into a chaotic haze. Even at the location where Li Yun had retreated, fragnts of shattered rock rained down like a storm, threatening to bury everything beneath them.
A powerful voice suddenly broke through the chaos.
"Mo Xuanyu, I always suspected sothing was wrong with you, but I never thought you would go this far and attempt to kill . You are truly narrow minded, willing to eliminate a genius disciple of Martial Ascension Gate for your own selfish interests."
The voice surged like a wave, sweeping away the dust and debris. The air cleared, revealing countless broken rocks suspended in midair.
At the center of it all stood a slender figure wrapped in flickering blue lightning.
It was Li Yun.
He stood calmly, his gaze fixed on the figure in the sky.
High above, a man in gray robes appeared. His expression was cold, and a dense killing intent radiated from his body. It was none other than Mo Xuanyu.
"It has only been half a year, yet your strength has reached this level. You have already stepped into the first level of the Qi Sea Realm. You truly are a calamity for my Earth Pillar Peak," Mo Xuanyu said coldly.
