With one Hunter dealt with, both Fang Tianhe and Shen Han breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
In truth, the greatest threat to them hadn’t been the imnsely strong Giant Arm or the troubleso Blood Worm—it had been the Hunter.
Even though the Hunter couldn’t last two moves against Lin Xinghai, they knew they would have been completely thrashed by it in its berserk state.
After all, with the Hunter’s Speed, they wouldn’t have even been able to touch it, and its Attack Power was no joke. A single swipe of its claws could tear through a cha’s outer armor and cause serious damage.
Now that the Hunter was gone, even if they couldn’t defeat the remaining three, at least they wouldn’t be taken out so easily.
Lin Xinghai retrieved his Mjolnir, flicked the Hunter’s corpse aside, and without a mont’s hesitation, charged toward the remaining three Mutated Zombies, putting distance between himself and Fang Tianhe and Shen Han.
This way, he could also shake off the Blood-colored Beetles.
As for Fang Tianhe and Shen Han, they stuck to the plan, continuing their high-profile assault.
This would draw the maximum amount of enemy attention.
anwhile, the main force of the Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps had also caught up.
The commotion from the convoy was far greater than that of the three chas. As they drew near, they drew the attention of more than half the Blood-colored Beetles.
The Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps was already fully prepared. Once the Blood-colored Beetles were within a hundred ters, the rcenaries unleashed a relentless barrage of fire from their Hand Cannons and Burning Bullets.
The explosions from the Hand Cannon Bullets and the intense flas from the Burning Bullets both inflicted considerable damage, giving the Blood-colored Beetles no chance to get near.
However, the other three Mutated Zombies had heard the Hunter’s dying warning and were now on high alert. They began to roar, summoning the surrounding Zombies as if to form a zombie tide.
anwhile, the Blood Worm continuously spewed out Blood-colored Beetles from its body. Half of them were sent to attack, while the other half sward around it for protection.
"We need to end this fast. We can’t drag it out," Lin Xinghai said, his voice grim over the communication channel as he took in the scene.
At the sa ti, he picked up his pace, swiftly closing to within 200 ters of the Mutated Zombies. After finding a good firing position, he decisively took the shot.
He aid for the Blood Worm’s head. If he could take out that Mutated Zombie, the Blood-colored Beetles it had released would lose their controller. Then, a few missiles would be enough to make them scatter.
It was a good idea in theory, but Zombies are never that easy to kill, especially when they have allies.
The mont Lin Xinghai aid his Electromagnetic Railgun at the Blood Worm, the creature’s preternatural sense of danger alerted it. It imdiately dodged behind the Giant Arm.
It wasn’t the only one to sense the danger. The Giant Arm perceived it at the sa ti and imdiately turned to shield its ally.
Thanks to the coordination between the two Mutated Zombies, the bullet aid at the Blood Worm’s head rely tore a few kilograms of flesh from the Giant Arm.
Given the Giant Arm’s massive size, it was nothing more than a trivial wound.
Lin Xinghai frowned slightly and fired two more shots, but just like before, the Giant Arm blocked them both.
He tried to shoot the Giant Arm’s head, but it simply had to raise its thick arms to cover its head completely, leaving him no opening whatsoever.
More importantly, the creature wasn’t one to just take a beating. Holding the over-ten-ter-long iron pillar in one hand, the Giant Arm freed its other, casually snatched a car from the roadside, and hurled it at Lin Xinghai’s cha.
The Giant Arm wasn’t the only one with ranged attacks. The Spitter would periodically pop its head out to spit a mouthful or two of venom, but it would instantly duck back behind the Giant Arm at the slightest hint of danger.
Although Lin Xinghai’s Speed allowed him to easily dodge both the thrown car and the spat venom, for the ti being, he couldn’t do anything to them—at least, not without getting in close.
But Lin Xinghai had no intention of engaging in close-quarters combat right now. The Blood Worm had already spat out all the Blood-colored Beetles from its body—nearly 100,000 of them. It kept 50,000 by its side, forming layer upon layer of Defense.
It was precisely because of these Blood-colored Beetles that Lin Xinghai decided against charging in recklessly for the ti being.
He was fairly confident he could withstand the Blood-colored Beetles, but having never tested that theory, he decided to wait a little longer.
’At least I can wait for Fang Tianhe and Shen Han to arrive and draw enough fire. It won’t be too late to try then.’
The two of them weren’t far off. In just over ten seconds, they broke through wave after wave of the beetle tide and closed to within 100 ters of the three Mutated Zombies.
"Any orders?" Before charging in, Fang Tianhe asked one last ti.
"No. Just go all out. The more firepower, the better. Create an opening for , as fast as you can," Lin Xinghai replied, his tone serious as he glanced at the Zombies steadily gathering around them.
"Got it!" Fang Tianhe replied, a rare hint of excitent on his face.
In past battles, he always had to carefully manage his Superpower. He never dared to unleash its full potential without reservation.
But this situation was different. Plus, knowing they could retreat right after the fight, he had few lingering concerns. He unleashed his Heaven-Splitting Superpower without holding anything back.
Instantly, the entire Heaven-Sundering cha was enveloped in a dark, black light. Anything that touched it was silently pulverized into dust.
Even at his peak, Fang Tianhe could only maintain this full-power state for 30 seconds at most.
In his current state, he could probably last for another 20 seconds or so. But that was more than enough ti to create an opening.
After unleashing his Heaven-Splitting Superpower, Fang Tianhe piloted his cha, Alloy Great Saber in hand, and charged at the Giant Arm, which was a full size larger than his machine.
He completely ignored the Blood-colored Beetles that sward frantically to stop him.
If the Blood-colored Beetles were a crimson tide, then the Heaven-Sundering cha was a black reef in its path. Wherever it went, the crimson tide was crushed to powder.
With unstoppable montum, Fang Tianhe piloted his cha, closing the distance to the Giant Arm in just a few powerful leaps.
The Heaven-Sundering cha leaped high into the air, bringing its ten-ter-long Alloy Great Saber down upon the Giant Arm’s head.
ROAR!
The Giant Arm seed enraged. With a furious roar, it raised its giant club to et the downward strike.
CLANG!
The sound of clashing tal rang out amid a shower of sparks. Empowered by the Superpower, the Heaven-Sundering cha’s Alloy Great Saber had beco unbelievably sharp. The mont it made contact with the giant club, it sliced more than ten centiters deep.
But at the sa ti, the imnse Giant Strength transmitted from the club instantly overloaded the hydraulic valves in the cha’s arms. The Heaven-Sundering cha, weighing over ten tons, was swatted dozens of ters away by the blow.
