In a brief exchange, Lin Xinghai and Yang Jiansheng finalized the plan and imdiately began making arrangents.
"All rcenary Corps Leaders, pull out half of your elites and have them gather with . The rest will report to Officer Yang Jiansheng and help construct the defense system."
"Also, move all the severely wounded from every rcenary Corps to the dical vehicle. There’s a dical-type Superpower User who can help them." One command after another issued from Lin Xinghai’s mouth.
The so-called dical vehicle was the Armored Vehicle Liu Miaomiao was riding in. Here at Outpost 32, not even a basic defense system had been established, to say nothing of anything else. They had no ergency rescue capabilities whatsoever; they had to rely on themselves for everything.
And casualties were unavoidable in their charge against the zombie tide.
Although the mbers of the rcenary Corps were all shooting from inside their Armored Vehicles, when the zombie tide crashed into them, Zombies that got close could stick their arms through the firing ports to attack.
If they dodged quickly enough, they would naturally be fine.
But if they were ambushed by a High Level Zombie and their reactions were a little too slow, a scratched arm would be the least of their worries. It was entirely possible to be grabbed by the head and killed instantly.
Of course, such situations were rare, and only a High Level Zombie could possibly move too fast for a rcenary to dodge. But no matter how rare, it still happened. Three people had died outright during this charge into the zombie tide.
As for the wounded, the number reached 52, with 13 of them severely injured.
To Lin Xinghai, this was already a significant number of casualties.
However, the rcenary Corps Leaders didn’t seem to think it was a big deal. After all, it only averaged out to about two injuries per rcenary Corps.
And this ti, they had plunged deep into the zombie tide. A casualty rate this low was sothing they wouldn’t have even dared to imagine in the past.
Of course, although the casualty numbers were low, the various rcenary Corps Leaders still took their severely wounded mbers very seriously and imdiately arranged to have them brought over.

"Uh, Lin Xinghai," Yang Jiansheng began, "how about I call my dical team over? They do have so first-aid skills. They should be able to keep the severely wounded alive long enough for the dical pods to be installed and calibrated. That should solve the problem."
"No, thank you!" Lin Xinghai shook his head. "Our first-aid team is quite good as well."
Yang Jiansheng grumbled inwardly. ’We brought military doctors. These rcenary Corps might have a few people who know first aid, but I refuse to believe they can compare to our dics.’
But his lips twitched, and he ultimately said nothing.
Just then, the door of an Armored Vehicle opened. A pretty, slender female rcenary leaped out and waved to soone behind her.
Soon, several more rcenaries jumped out of the Armored Vehicle, but each of them was carrying a Zombie. Furthermore, the Zombies were alive, though bound tightly.
"Zombies?" Yang Jiansheng was confused. ’Aren’t they supposed to be rescuing the severely wounded? What are they doing with a bunch of Zombies?’
But in the next mont, his eyes flew wide open.
He watched as the female rcenary gave a simple wave of her delicate hand. The frantically struggling Zombie beside her rapidly weakened, its presence fading as its skin wrinkled and shriveled.
In just two or three seconds, the Zombie had turned into a desiccated husk.
GULP!
The surrounding rcenaries, who were watching from the sidelines, were all seeing Liu Miaomiao in action for the first ti.
This power—to turn a Zombie into a mummified corpse with a wave of her hand—sent shivers down their spines.
And at the very mont the Zombie died, they saw a fist-sized green orb of light fly out from its body and float into Liu Miaomiao’s hand.
At that mont, the first severely wounded patient was brought over. It was the rcenary whose cheekbones had been nearly shattered.
His face bore five gashes so deep the bone was visible, and his right eye and nose had been torn off. Even after copious amounts of hemostatic spray, blood still seeped from the wounds.
An injury like this would have killed an ordinary person long ago. Even though he was one of the Optimized with a robust Life Force, he likely couldn’t have held on for more than a dozen minutes.
Then, Liu Miaomiao waved her arm. The green orb of light in her hand instantly shattered into specks of green fluorescence that seeped into the man’s wounds.
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the bleeding from his wounds stopped instantly. The flesh began to writhe and even showed signs of knitting back together.
However, Liu Miaomiao’s goal was only to save his life. Seeing that the bleeding had stopped, she ceased infusing him with the green light.
Glancing at the green orb of light, now a third smaller, Liu Miaomiao said nothing and moved on to the next wounded patient. At the sa ti, she told the rcenary squad beside her to go and capture two more live Zombies.
It wasn’t until Liu Miaomiao started treating the second patient that the surrounding rcenaries began to slowly recover from their shock.
From the mont Liu Miaomiao stepped out of the vehicle to stabilizing the first patient’s condition, only a dozen or so seconds had passed. Although the rcenary would still require long-term treatnt to fully recover, his life, at least, was no longer in danger.
They felt that if they described this first-aid thod, no one would believe them.
Soon, the rcenaries’ attitude toward Liu Miaomiao beca respectful and polite.
In the battles to co, no one could guarantee they wouldn’t be severely injured. With a dical-type Superpower User like her present, who wouldn’t want to be on friendly terms with her?
"What a powerful Superpower!" Yang Jiansheng couldn’t help but exclaim. At the sa ti, a hint of fear entered his eyes as he looked at Liu Miaomiao.
He knew perfectly well that this Superpower wasn’t just for healing. If used to kill, it would be far more terrifying.
However, he glanced from Lin Xinghai to Liu Miaomiao, a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Lin Xinghai, since you have better dical personnel, I’ll go arrange for the construction of the defenses. As for holding back the zombie tide, I’ll leave that to you," Yang Jiansheng said, quickly composing himself.
The battle situation was tense, and this was no ti to be an idle spectator. After speaking, he hurriedly departed to begin making arrangents.
As for Lin Xinghai, he too began issuing a series of commands to the various rcenary Corps Leaders.
Of the main force of over 1,000 people, Lin Xinghai now assigned just over 500 to combat duty, sending the rest to help build the defensive fortifications.
