Now reading: Chapter 330: Is It Wrong to Annihilate All the Zombies? from Invincible through Touching Corpses, a Sci-fi novel by Crystal head.

"When did the zombie tide start? How big is it this ti?" Lin Xinghai hurriedly asked Fang Tianhe, who had co to report.

"It started 10 minutes ago. The scale of this tide just reached one million."

"Originally, General Lin wasn’t planning on calling us back. But this ti, 10 Mutated Zombies showed up with the tide, including Spitters and Blood Worms. They pose a certain threat to the sub-base, so he wants to call us over to see if we can kill them."

"Otherwise, even if we repel this zombie tide, he’s worried they’ll just make a coback tomorrow, possibly on an even larger and more troubleso scale." Fang Tianhe imdiately relayed all the information he had.

"Ten Mutated Zombies? I can’t believe they dare to show up again. They really have a death wish!" Lin Xinghai remarked with so emotion.

If there were more, that would be one thing; he might not have dared to take the initiative. But ten Mutated Zombies was right on the edge of what he could handle.

Even if he couldn’t kill them all in one go, as long as these Mutated Zombies didn’t flee, he was confident he could take them all down after a few more attempts.

Under these circumstances, Lin Xinghai felt like the enemy was just serving themselves up on a platter.

"Er... according to the staff office’s analysis, the reason they launched a zombie tide after just three days is likely because you wiped out all the Hunters last ti."

"Even though we demonstrated imnse strength, no Mutated Zombies managed to get the ssage back. The remaining ones couldn’t grasp the specifics of the situation, which led to this new tide." Fang Tianhe glanced at Lin Xinghai and, after a slight hesitation, spoke up.

Lin Xinghai’s mouth twitched. The atmosphere turned subtly awkward.

’Since when is annihilating Mutated Zombies a bad thing?’

"Alright! Go get ready. We’ll head out in half an hour to support the sub-base. Oh, and call the Mountain and Sea rcenary Corps," Lin Xinghai said with a wave of his hand.

Of the Third Level rcenary Corps that had returned together, they were the only ones who hadn’t gone back to the sub-base yet.

The other Third Level rcenary Corps didn’t need to recruit mbers, so after just one day of rest and purchasing so military equipnt, they had already returned to the sub-base to farm Points.

So this ti, only their two rcenary Corps would be going as reinforcents.

Half an hour passed quickly. The mbers of the two large rcenary Corps had all assembled in the rcenary Plaza.

Lin Xinghai took a look. The Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps had now completed its recruitnt, reaching its full roster of 200 mbers.

As for the Mountain and Sea rcenary Corps, although they hadn’t recruited many mbers over the past three days, they had added 30, bringing their total to 80 people.

Looking at the two ever-growing rcenary Corps, Lin Xinghai was filled with emotion.

When he had first joined, the Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps only had 50 people, and the Mountain and Sea rcenary Corps was just a five-person Hunter squad.

But now, even the Mountain and Sea rcenary Corps had made a big na for itself.

His gaze swept across the faces of the rcenaries. He saw a variety of expressions: excitent and anticipation, as well as nervousness and unease. The latter, of course, belonged to the new mbers.

"Everyone, I’m sure you’re all clear on this mission. For many of our new mbers, this is your first ti facing a zombie tide, and a million-strong one at that."

"So I only have one requirent for you: don’t cause trouble! If you see the zombie tide and feel nervous or scared, just stay in the rear and out of the way. That’s all."

"Alright, let’s move out!" After speaking, he was the first to board an Armored Vehicle.

Many of the new mbers in both rcenary Corps looked at each other in bewildernt. It was one thing for the complete rookies, but those who had transferred from other rcenary Corps were truly at a loss for words after hearing such a pre-battle pep talk.

In their previous rcenary Corps, every mobilization involved rousing, passionate speeches to stir everyone’s emotions and get their fighting spirit boiling.

But with Lin Xinghai, it could all be sumd up in one sentence: Just don’t hold us back.

As for what contributions they were expected to make, Lin Xinghai didn’t seem to care at all.

This left the new mbers with mixed feelings; so felt slighted, while others felt relieved.

Soon, the convoy left Star Shield Shelter, heading for the sub-base at top speed.

Both the Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps and the Mountain and Sea rcenary Corps had now replaced their vehicles’ engines with new military-grade ones. Even with the Armored Vehicles weighing over ten tons, they could reach a top speed of 300 kiloters per hour.

Even on rough, uneven roads, they could maintain a speed of over 200 kiloters per hour.

At this speed, they were already approaching Guanghan City after little more than half an hour.

During the journey, the Guanghan City sub-base continuously updated them on the latest situation via long-range communication devices.

In that half hour, the sub-base had killed nearly 100,000 Zombies. However, the Mutated Zombies were constantly summoning more, so the total size of the tide hadn’t decreased much.

Lin Xinghai also learned the composition of the 10 Mutated Zombies: three Death Claws, two Giant Arms, three Spitters, and two Blood Worms.

The three Death Claws and two Giant Arms could pose a certain threat to him if they all entered a berserk state, but it would only be a threat.

Besides, Lin Xinghai had no intention of clashing with them head-on. He’d kill the Spitters and Blood Worms first. After that, the Death Claws and Giant Arms wouldn’t be able to maintain their berserk state. If they still didn’t retreat, it wouldn’t be too late to deal with them then.

While Lin Xinghai was contemplating how to kill these Mutated Zombies, the convoy had already entered the Guanghan City area. They followed the safe path cleared by the outposts, rapidly approaching the sub-base.

From a distance, the mbers in the vehicles could see the zombie tide through the firing ports.

Many of the new mbers were seeing a zombie tide for the first ti. Staring at the dense, endless sea of Zombies, their hands and feet grew cold, and a chill shot up from the base of their spines to the top of their heads.

’Can we really win this?’

This thought popped into the minds of almost all the new mbers at the sa ti.

Although these new mbers had undergone combat training over the past three days, the largest zombie horde they had ever encountered in other cities numbered only in the hundreds.

How could that possibly compare to the tide before them now?

In the Armored Vehicle with Lin Xinghai, there were 10 new mbers. Five of them were rookies who had just applied to beco rcenaries, and Wang Yao was one of them.

Seeing the zombie tide for the first ti, her face turned a little pale. It would be a lie to say she wasn’t scared.

But she didn’t have any more ti to be afraid. The convoy was moving so fast that within the span of a few breaths, it had already plunged into the zombie tide.

Just then, the combat alarm blared inside the vehicle.

Then, she saw the veteran mbers moving nimbly to the firing ports, thodically starting to strafe the Zombies outside.

At the sa ti, roaring explosions sounded continuously near the convoy—it was the sub-base providing fire support, helping to clear the Zombies ahead of them.

Only then did Wang Yao and a few other new mbers seem to snap out of it. They scrambled to grab their Tearing Rifles, intending to find a firing port and help kill the Zombies.

But when Wang Yao reached a firing port at the rear of the vehicle and looked out, she was stunned to find that the Zombies were sparse, nothing like the dense horde she had just seen.

In the mont she was dazed, she saw the convoy speed through a large gate. By then, there wasn’t a single Zombie left outside.

It was only then that she finally realized—the convoy had simply charged right through the zombie tide and into the sub-base.
