"Old man, why are there more than two hundred people kneeling outside the hall? What are they doing?" Yusuf Zuck asked in confusion.
"It’s all because of the latest royal edict!" The butler seed a bit angry and also quite helpless!
"The latest royal edict? Didn’t the king leave three years ago? How can there be a recent royal edict?" Yusuf Zuck asked, puzzled.
"The king left, but royal edicts can still be sent back. This edict is from half a month ago. I don’t even know about the king... sigh, never mind, never mind, I’m talking too much!" The old butler clearly wanted to speak ill of the king, but he dared not say anything in the end!
"Is the royal edict related to Sir Gould?" Yusuf Zuck continued to ask.
"It’s related to the young lady!" The old butler sighed. "The latest edict dismissed five concubines, including our young lady, ordering them to leave the palace within three days and return to their respective clans!"
"I have no idea what’s wrong with the king. A few years ago, he dismissed many concubines, allowing them to marry others, so now many are proud to marry a forr concubine, which has infuriated the lord to no end!"

By dismissing them, it allows them to have a new, free life, which is good for them as well!
The king might be criticized or misunderstood by so, or secretly mocked as being cuckolded, but he truly did a good deed!
"This Demon King is alright!" Yusuf Zuck secretly gasped in admiration, appreciating this bold and straightforward style.
"So, what’s the connection between the royal edict and those people kneeling outside the hall?" Yusuf Zuck asked, still confused.
"It’s because our young lady was ordered to leave the palace, so many scholars, landed gentry, officials, and others have co to propose marriage, all claiming admiration for the young lady. Those two hundred people are here to propose, refusing to leave, and trying to pressure the lord, knowing his kind heart, and they are shaless about it!"
"Wow!" Yusuf Zuck nearly tripped upon hearing this. What on earth, two hundred people proposing? And Sir Gould doesn’t see them, so they kneel and refuse to leave?
This indeed seems like coercion, and everyone knows Sir Gould is righteous, won’t hit, kill, or harm people, so they kneel there waiting for him to speak!
"Here we are, the lord has been quite troubled lately, and you have a past with him. Please help persuade the lord!" The old butler bowed to Yusuf Zuck.

At this mont, in the back courtyard, the servant boy who had been with Yusuf Zuck for three months ca out and smiled at him: "Master Linghu, the lord invites you!"

The two walked together into the back yard, turned a few corners, and then entered a study room.
Inside, Sir Gould was reading reports, seeming to be busy with Royal City matters, he governed, and was currently quite busy!
Seeing Yusuf Zuck enter, he put down the reports and stood up: "Haha, Linghu, long ti no see, your cultivation level has increased quickly, sit down!"

"Do you need my help?" Sir Gould asked directly.
"No, no, I just wanted to see you and the Princess... now Miss!" Yusuf avoided calling her the princess, as she wasn’t one anymore!
"After you left that year, Miss treated quite well!" Yusuf Zuck lied.
"By the way, when was the last ti you saw Lan’er?"
"Before I went to the Lower Realm, about half a month after you left, why? Is Miss not back in the capital?" Yusuf Zuck was taken aback, realizing Sir Gould might not know his daughter’s whereabouts!
"Lan’er has been missing for seven whole years without a trace!"
"What? Miss is missing?"
"Yes, it’s a secret, others don’t know, but Lan’er isn’t dead; I made her a destiny record, and it’s still there!" Sir Gould sighed, "It’s unclear where Lan’er is!"

"Much obliged, much obliged!" Sir Gould nodded.
Yusuf Zuck sat down again, contemplating: "I noticed people kneeling outside the hall just now, the old butler said they’re here to propose? He said you’re troubled, I have an idea to turn them away!"
"Oh? You have a solution? Let’s hear it!" Sir Gould’s eyes lit up, but he then shook his head: "These are nobility, so I can’t hit or kill them. Chase this group away, another will co. What good idea do you have?"
Yusuf Zuck grinned slyly, "Sir, you’re too kind-hearted, so they take advantage of your nature and act irreverently at the residence. But if you trust , I’ll make them leave and ensure no one cos proposing again!"
Yusuf Zuck intended to send the suitors away; if Sir Gould got swayed soday and secretly betrothed his daughter, it would be disastrous. Hence, he aid to solve the issue once and for all!
