Chapter 85: Daily Life
Ti passed quickly.
Ever since that day when Tan Han carried back to the bakery in a princess hold, I was nearly laughed to death by Senior Ying Shiqian.
After all, she knew I used to be a boy, and this was practically becoming my dark history.
What was even more mortifying was that, according to Senior Ying Shiqian, Senior Tang Yihan seed to have also figured out I was originally a boy.
Only Store Manager Xia Li, whose head was always in the clouds, hadn’t noticed yet.
I asked Tan Han why she carried back like that instead of just waking up.
She said I was sleeping so deeply that she called out to a few tis, but I didn’t wake up.
So, she just picked up.
Even then, I didn’t stir, so she carried back in the most convenient way.
She even added that if I didn’t like it, next ti she could try carrying over her shoulder.
In short, I didn’t get any advantage from Tan Han, only the ten thousand yuan fee I was owed.
I’d almost forgotten about it, and missing out on ten thousand would’ve been a tragedy.
Since the money was already in my account, I naturally didn’t dwell on it.
After all this was the power of a rich lady’s wealth.
After Tan Han succeeded in her ditation, the store manager treated us to a nice al again.
Though it was just a symbolic gathering with a few people from the Bakery Club, it was way better than eating bread at the bakery.
I used to think I could never get tired of the bakery’s bread, but now I realized it was surprisingly easy to get sick of it or rather, I wasn’t used to it.
After that, Tan Han joined the sa flight training club I was in, though she wasn’t under Senior Tu Qingxue’s guidance but another senior’s.
Still, that didn’t stop her from coming over to chat with when she had ti.
Tan Han’s na seed quite well-known.
Even Senior Tu Qingxue would occasionally co to to ask about her.
As this year’s perfect-scoring study god, she naturally attracted the attention of academic underachievers like us who ca to pay homage.
Tan Han lived up to her title.
Despite joining later than , she passed the club’s theoretical exam in just a few days, earning her qualification for the official Flying License test.
anwhile, I was still slogging through the seemingly endless question bank in my spare ti.
It wasn’t until today that I finally passed the theoretical exam.
During that ti, I had to pay for a retest out of my own pocket.
Thankfully, the theory exam fee was low, just a double-digit amount, so failing once was bearable.
This put quite far behind Tan Han, but I didn’t mind.
I could accept the gap between and a study god after all, no comparison, no pain.
Passing the theory ant I could officially start preparing for the practical Flying License exam.
I might not be great at theory, but I excelled at practical skills.
Senior Tu Qingxue often praised my balance, reaction speed, and control.
In my previous life, I failed the theory parts of my driver’s license exam once each, but I passed the practical driving tests with perfect scores on the first try.
Even though I never owned a car, it didn’t change the fact that I had a license.
Since I spent the afternoon preparing for the theory exam today, Senior Tu Qingxue let go early after I passed, treating it as a break after this phase of training.
So, I returned to the villa early.
As usual, I ca back hoping to et a new housemate.
As the first freshman to arrive, I was eager to warmly help her adjust to life here, but I still hadn’t had the chance.
I also made a point to clean the villa occasionally to keep it tidy, so a new housemate wouldn’t arrive to a ssy scene.
As for why I cleaned myself, that brought up the issue of Little Workhorse, the smart housekeeper.
It consud far too much magic power.
The villa’s total magic power ter was dropping every day.
I tried recharging it, but my entire Magic Power Source only amounted to one unit.
In other words, one number on the ter represented the full magic capacity of a Magic Power Source.
I specifically tested this, and though my results weren’t precise, I asked a senior, who confird my guess was correct.
So, my asly magic power really couldn’t keep up with the consumption.
Even my phone used up my magic power.
After exploring the phone’s various functions, I found it consud a fair amount too, though not as outrageous as Little Workhorse.
Back at the villa, it was as quiet as ever, aning no one had co by.
I checked the ti.
Though I’d returned early, the afternoon was almost over by the ti I got back.
These days have been fairly routine.
The flight training club provided als, so I had food in the evenings, though it wasn’t free.
For the seniors in the club, however, it was free.
This highlighted the gap between clubs.
So clubs even had dedicated cafeterias, while others, struggling to keep their club space from being reclaid, ran a perpetually money-losing bakery.
I won’t say which club that was, it's a matter of pride, after all.
But I didn’t have any bias against the Bakery Club.
I actually enjoyed my ti there and even picked up so baking skills.
So, I had a lot of affection for the Bakery Club.
After all, getting paid to slack off was unbeatable.
My baking skills weren’t exactly impressive, but I was pretty good at stopping Senior Tang Yihan from making dark cuisine.
If I couldn’t stop her, I could at least warn Senior Ying Shiqian to escape in advance.
This built a deep strategic alliance between and Senior Ying Shiqian.
Since I was back early today, what about dinner?
The Witch Academy naturally had a Main Cafeteria, but it was far from here.
I’d rather grab sothing on the street than go there.
In the end, I chose to order takeout.
Takeout at Witch Academy wasn’t cheap, and it didn’t work with external delivery apps or riders.
It was handled by student-run delivery clubs, perfect for students looking to earn money during breaks.
You didn’t even need to download an app, just find the delivery club in the Academy System, and a takeout app would be generated on your phone.
The “Academy System” on the phone provided by Witch Academy was incredible; almost everything relied on it.
In my free ti, I loved poking around in it to find interesting things and discover new uses.
For example, I found several gaming clubs and downloaded plenty of fun gas through them.
The academy library even had novels written by seniors, so serialized, and even so risqué ones.
I’d bookmarked quite a few, though a couple were banned for crossing the line.
I kept their sources as proof they once existed.
