"Since everyone's here, let's begin the eting."

Naobito Zenin, the current Clan Head of the Zenin Clan, spoke in a drunken slur as he drank from his gourd.

The focus of this eting was simple.

It was to determine exactly what kind of reshuffling the jujutsu world would undergo after the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons incident.

"One thing is beyond doubt..."

The head of the Kamo Clan, one of the Three Great Families, spoke in a low voice.

"With Suguru Geto dead, Satoru Gojo has completely cleared himself of suspicion. The accusations the jujutsu world previously held against him no longer seem to stand."

Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto had once been classmates at Jujutsu High. Even in their student days, they were hailed as the strongest duo, and the two of them were also recognized as part of the four Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers in the jujutsu world.

But with Suguru Geto's betrayal, that once-golden partnership fell apart.

Headquarters had once ordered Satoru Gojo to kill Suguru Geto, yet in full view of everyone, he let him go out of lingering attachnt to their old bond.

That incident had always remained a thorn in the side of the jujutsu higher-ups.

A thorn that could not be removed.

Satoru Gojo himself was the strongest jujutsu sorcerer of the modern age, the chosen child of the Gojo Clan, the first in hundreds of years to possess both the Six Eyes and the Limitless Technique.

His birth alone directly shattered the balance among the Three Great Families. The Gojo Clan rose all the way to the top, beating down the Zenin Clan and trampling the Kamo Clan beneath its feet. Their glory could only be described as blinding.

But that kind of ascendancy had only been possible so long as Satoru Gojo remained within the control of the jujutsu higher-ups.

The higher-ups would rather have an obedient dog than a genius like Satoru Gojo, soone powerful enough to reshape the entire jujutsu world.

That was why, in recent years, the jujutsu world had kept him under constant watch, terrified that he might follow Suguru Geto down the sa path and turn traitor.

But with Suguru Geto's death, those concerns had, for the ti being, been eased.

Satoru Gojo really had been uncontrollable in his younger days, but as he got older, he had gradually co to understand his place. Now he was willing to obediently beco a dog in the hands of the jujutsu higher-ups, doing their dirty and exhausting work for them.

But that outco was clearly bad news for the Zenin Clan and the Kamo Clan.

No one wanted to see the Gojo Clan stand alone above the rest.

The more obedient Satoru Gojo was to the jujutsu higher-ups, the more resources the Gojo Clan would gain.

If this continued, then the Three Great Families would beco nothing more than a na, existing in title only and soon disappearing altogether.

"I heard... that Satoru Gojo had a serious falling-out with the jujutsu higher-ups in order to protect Yuta Okkotsu."

Jinichi Zenin stroked his chin as he spoke.

"Yuta Okkotsu was once secretly sentenced to death by Headquarters, but Satoru Gojo stubbornly protected him. He even publicly threw harsh words at the jujutsu higher-ups, saying that from beginning to end, he would stand by Yuta Okkotsu's side. Hmph. As a teacher, Satoru Gojo really is sothing."

"Ridiculous!"

Ogi Zenin knelt on the tatami and gave a cold snort.

"I already uncovered Yuta Okkotsu's background. In Tokyo, they say he was nad a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer at such a young age because he possessed the Special Grade Cursed Spirit Rika Orimoto. But how could a claim like that ever win Kyoto's approval? Sure enough, after my intelligence network investigated, it turned out that Yuta Okkotsu and Satoru Gojo are distant relatives. He cos from a branch bloodline of the Gojo Clan!"

That secret piece of intelligence instantly made the entire room go stiff.

Because it touched on sothing every Kyoto jujutsu sorcerer present deeply resented.

The selection of Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers.

Before Yuta Okkotsu appeared, the three publicly recognized Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers in the jujutsu world were Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Yuki Tsukumo.

There was no need to say much about Satoru Gojo. As the chosen child of the Gojo Clan, possessor of the Six Eyes and the Limitless Technique, his title as the strongest of the modern age made his status as a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer perfectly justified.

Suguru Geto ca from an ordinary background, with both parents being normal people. But because of Cursed Spirit Manipulation, a technique so rare it might not appear once in a thousand years, he brought about a revolutionary breakthrough in how the jujutsu world dealt with cursed spirits. So his being recognized as a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer was both surprising and perfectly reasonable.

As the strongest Star Plasma Vessel in history, and with her fa long since established, plus her close ties to Kyoto, there was naturally no objection to Yuki Tsukumo being a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer.

But Yuta Okkotsu had simply dropped in out of nowhere.

From beginning to end, it all reeked of Tokyo's high-handedness. Kyoto had already been deeply displeased by the very existence of this Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer, and now that it had co out that he was a distant relative of Satoru Gojo, it was hard not to suspect the Gojo Clan of pulling strings behind the scenes.

After all, despite also being one of the Three Great Families, not a single mber of the Zenin Clan or the Kamo Clan had been chosen as a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer.

Was that supposed to an their inherited techniques were inferior to the Gojo Clan's?

"We have to join forces and pressure Headquarters to stop the Gojo Clan from growing any further!"

Ogi Zenin said it coldly.

"Satoru Gojo must be held responsible for the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons! Just because he personally killed Suguru Geto doesn't clear him of suspicion! Satoru Gojo must give up all of his positions at Jujutsu High, and he must be imprisoned as well!"

"I say Satoru Gojo should be stripped of the Six Eyes. Now that Suguru Geto is dead, there are no threats left in the jujutsu world. A dangerous hidden risk like Satoru Gojo must be eliminated!"

Listening to the endless stream of protests around him, Naoya Zenin was almost dumbfounded.

Holy shit.

Was this really one of the most classic parts of Jujutsu Kaisen?

The classic move of piling pressure on your own side's strongest guy?

The man had just painfully killed his own best friend, and now this pack of wild dogs wanted to morally blackmail him like this?

The jujutsu world really was rotten to the core.

"...Naoya, what do you think?"

Naobito Zenin paid no attention to the uproar around him. The old man simply kept drinking as usual, but his lazy gaze shifted toward his son, who had not said a word.

His father knew that Naoya had never cared much about this kind of jujutsu world bullshit, but given Naoya Zenin's usual punchable personality, the fact that he had stayed silent for so long really was strange.

"Naoya, do you have so objection to your uncle's proposal?"

Ogi Zenin also frowned and turned toward Naoya Zenin.

After all, Naoya Zenin was the next heir of the Zenin Clan. His personality might have been rotten to the core, but if he kept sitting there in silence, then this whole eting might as well have been for nothing.

Under everyone's gaze, the transmigrator felt nothing but deep helplessness.

Of course he had opinions.

He was still planning to cling to Satoru Gojo's thigh.

If this bunch of vermin kept screwing things up, wasn't he going to end up waiting for death right alongside the Zenin Clan?

Now that the Clan Head had called on him directly, even though he did not want to stir up trouble, the transmigrator could only let out a sigh.

But no matter how dissatisfied he was, it would not help at the mont.

The mood in the room was already there. If he spoke out against them now, it would only make things worse. The best thing he could do was keep his mouth shut and play dead.

Better to take a gentler approach, play dead, and smooth it over sohow.

"Uncle, are you telling how to do things?"
