Madras...1

Rajiv Gandhi Governnt General Hospital...

Rain hamred against the old windows of Rajiv Gandhi Governnt General Hospital like restless fingers drumming over steel.

The long hospital corridor slled of antiseptic, wet clothes, and nervous prayers.

At the end of the hallway, the red bulb above the Labor, Delivery, and Recovery room1 continued to glow.

And from beyond those doors…

A woman's scream echoed through the corridor.

"AHHHH—!"

The sound made everyone outside stiffen.

"...."

"...."

"...."

A old man who still looks like his 30's look wearing a soaked white shirt clenched his trembling fingers together.

His face, usually calm and composed, carried visible anxiety for the first ti in hours.

Sivakumar.

Actor. Writer. Gentleman in the industry.

And at this mont…

Nothing more than a terrified husband.

Beside him sat three children whose uniforms were still damp from the rain.

Sixteen-year-old Saravanan leaned forward with his elbows on his knees, nervously rubbing his palms together.

Though his face still carried youthful softness, there was already sothing striking about him.

Sharp eyes. Quiet composure.

The kind of presence people naturally looked toward.

Years later, Tamil cinema would know him by another na.

Suriya.

Next to him sat fourteen-year-old Karthi, restless and unable to stay still even for a minute.

"Appa1…"

He whispered carefully choosing his words,

"Amma1 will be okay, right?"

Sivakumar looked at his son for a mont before forcing out a faint nod.

-Nod!

"She'll be fine."

But his voice lacked confidence.

At the edge of the bench sat eleven-year-old Brinda, clutching her school bag tightly against her chest.

The three siblings had rushed straight from Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School after hearing the news from the house workers.

Their mother had suddenly gone into labor.

And ever since arriving…

The atmosphere had only grown heavier.

Another scream rang from inside the delivery room.

"-AHHHH!!!"

Karthi winced.

Saravanan lowered his head silently.

anwhile, Sivakumar stared at the floor tiles without blinking.

The rain outside intensified.

Thunder rolled across the dark Chennai sky.

-RUMBLE!

Minutes passed...

Then another hour.

Ti itself seed trapped inside the corridor.

Nurses walked back and forth carrying tal trays while distant cries of newborn babies occasionally echoed from other rooms.

But not this one. Not yet.

Brinda finally broke the silence softly.

"Appa1… do you think it'll be a boy or girl?"

For the first ti that night, a tiny smile appeared on Sivakumar's tired face.

"Healthy,"

He answered quietly but those words carried weight.

"That's enough."

The children fell silent again.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Then suddenly—The doors burst open.

A nurse hurried out.

Everyone stood instantly.

"What happened?"

Sivakumar asked anxiously.

The nurse removed her mask slightly before smiling.

"Congratulations."

The entire corridor froze.

This is the mont they were waiting for.

"It's a boy."

Relief crashed into the family like a wave.

Karthi imdiately grinned.

-Grin!

"Aiyo1! Another brother?"

Brinda giggled happily.

-Giggle!

Saravanan released a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding.

But before anyone could speak further—From inside the room ca the loud cry of a newborn baby.

"WAAAAAHHH—!"

The sound echoed through the corridor.

Strong. Loud. Almost angry.

The nurse chuckled.

-Chuckle!

"He's got powerful lungs."

Sivakumar closed his eyes for a mont as relief flooded his exhausted face.

Then slowly… He smiled.

And far away from the celebration around him…

Inside the newborn's mind…

Darkness stirred.

A strange heaviness pressed against fragile thoughts.

Fragnts of mories flickered. Towering skyscrapers.

Modern film sets.

Streaming platforms. Hollywood premieres.

Crowds chanting nas.

The internet. Caras. Cinema. Then confusion. Cold panic.

And finally—A single shattered realization.

'…Why can't I move?'

The newborn opened his tiny eyes weakly.

Blurry lights greeted him.

Strange faces. Strange voices.

And sowhere nearby—A man's emotional voice trembled softly.

"My son…"

The baby stared upward blankly.

The world around him slowly ca into focus.

Rain. Hospital lights.

Tamil voices which is native to him.

A different year. A different life.

And unknowingly…

Tamil cinema had just witnessed the birth of the boy who would one day shake theatres across the world.

The newborn's cries continued to echo through the delivery room.

"WAAAAAHHH—!"

But unlike an ordinary baby…

Behind those tiny teary eyes, fragnted thoughts churned like broken film reels spinning inside a burning projector.

Images flashed. Bright city lights.

Gigantic movie posters.

Crowds screaming before massive theatre cutouts.

Golden statues.

Red carpets. A cara. Always a cara.

Yet no matter how hard he tried…

He could not rember his own na.

His family. His past.

Nothing remained complete.

Only fragnts.

Broken mories floating in darkness.

The baby's tiny face scrunched up in visible frustration.

Then suddenly—

-SMACK!

The doctor lightly slapped his butt again.

The baby froze.

"...."

Another smack followed.

-SMACK!

"Healthy fellow!"

The doctor laughed cheerfully.

"Strong lungs!"

Inside the newborn's mind—Pure outrage exploded.

'OI! STOP HITTING !'

His tiny limbs flailed furiously in protest.

The doctor rely chuckled harder.

-Chuckle!

"See? Even his anger is strong!"

The baby glared at him with watery eyes.

If he had functioning adult muscles, the doctor was absolutely getting punched in the forehead.

After being cleaned carefully and wrapped in a soft white cloth, the nurse finally carried him toward the waiting father.

Sivakumar slowly accepted the child into his arms.

For a mont…

The world around him quietened.

The rain outside.

The nurses moving around.

The distant hospital noises.

Everything faded like never existed.

Only the newborn remained.

His son.

Exhaustion lted from Sivakumar's face as he looked toward his unconscious wife resting weakly on the hospital bed.

A small emotional smile appeared on his lips.

He had no idea…

This tiny child would one day raise his blood pressure to legendary levels.

anwhile, the baby stared directly at Sivakumar's face.

"...."

And internally—His mind exploded.

'WAIT. That's Actor Sivakumar! Why is he here?!'

Then another horrifying realization hit him like thunder.

'…No. NO.'

'Don't tell —HE'S MY FATHER?!'

The baby's soul nearly left his body again.

His tiny eyes widened in absolute disbelief.

Sivakumar gently adjusted the cloth around him before unconsciously looking upward.

His gaze landed on a small calendar hanging near the wall which had a year 1991 and April 24.

Printed upon it was the fierce image of Karuppu Samy.1

The guardian deity stood beneath flickering hospital light, holding his weapon with terrifying dignity.

Earlier, when the delivery complications had worsened,

Sivakumar had silently prayed before that very image.

If the child was born safely…

And if it was a boy…

He had promised himself he would na him after the deity.

His fingers softly touched the baby's forehead.

Then he spoke quietly.

"Karuppan."

The na settled into the room heavily.

Powerfully.

Like it already belonged to soone destined for chaos.

The newborn blinked slowly.

-Blink!

'Karuppan…? No... No How about stylish nas... Please Noooooo...'

Before he could process further, Sivakumar carefully carried him outside into the corridor.

The mont the siblings saw the baby, their exhausted faces brightened instantly.

Brinda gasped softly.

"He's so small…"

Karthi imdiately leaned closer with sparkling curiosity.

"Aiyo1… look at his hair!"

Even as a newborn, thick black hair already rested on the baby's head stubbornly.

Saravanan carefully accepted the child into his arms.

Unlike Karthi's excitent or Brinda's curiosity, the eldest brother simply observed him quietly.

The baby stared back.

"...."

And sowhere deep inside those fragnted mories…

Sothing stirred. An unfamiliar feeling.

Warmth. Safety. Family.

He knew who is currently carrying him one of the most gentlest Actor in Kollywood history.

Who in the future would be the reason for several families lived.

Sivakumar looked at his children before finally speaking.

"I've decided his na."

The three looked toward him.

"Karuppan."

Karthi repeated it first.

"Karuppan…"

Then slowly grinned with mischief.

-Grin!

"That sounds powerful. But in the future he might put a law suit on you father."

Brinda nodded happily.

-Nod!

Saravanan looked down at the sleeping baby in his arms before a faint smile appeared on his face.

anwhile, inside the newborn's chaotic mind—One final broken thought echoed.

As he gave up of resisting.

'Karuppan, huh… Fine then. If this is my new life… I'll live it properly.'

Outside the hospital…

The Chennai rain continued to pour endlessly into the night.
