After the eting of Konoha's four elders, the village launched yet another comprehensive investigation.
As expected, the Uchiha Police Force beca the primary target of surveillance.
But they found nothing.
Fugaku Uchiha naturally understood that this was not the ti to cause trouble for his ally.
Although he wanted to stir the muddy waters even further, the Anbu's surveillance was far too strict.
He had no opportunity to act.
Using ordinary clan mbers was even riskier—if they were discovered, the consequences would be severe.
In the end, he did nothing.
Then, at around three in the afternoon, Uzumaki Shuji appeared in his office.
Without warning.
The mont he saw the boy, Fugaku attacked on instinct.
His kunai slamd directly into the Chain of Heaven, but failed to injure Uzumaki Shuji in the slightest.
"This... a space-ti ninjutsu?"
Fugaku imdiately understood how Uzumaki Shuji had appeared.
It was the weekend, so Uzumaki Shuji didn't need to report to Danzo Shimura.
He had left behind a shadow clone to guide Naruto Uzumaki's training, while his true body ca here to et Fugaku.
"Captain, did sothing happen?"
A voice called from outside the office.
The impact of the kunai against the Chain of Heaven had not been quiet.
Fortunately, the Anbu were not breathing down the police force's neck.
Even so, there were at least a dozen Anbu hidden around the police headquarters.
Finding a gap to use Blink Dagger had not been easy.
"It's nothing. I dropped sothing."
Fugaku opened the door, stuck his head out, and waved the man away.
After closing the door, he turned around.
Uzumaki Shuji was already seated in his office chair.
Fugaku's expression stiffened for a mont, but he quickly recovered and sat in the chair normally reserved for guests.
"The recent events... they were the work of the Uzumaki clan, weren't they?"
"The Third Hokage must be unable to sleep, desperate to uncover the mastermind. Does the Uchiha clan need to help?"
As he spoke, Fugaku ford a few hand seals and erected a small soundproof barrier.
Uzumaki Shuji ignored the question.
"The plan needs to move forward."
"Originally, I intended to wait until I was around twelve years old."
"But it seems they have no intention of allowing to grow peacefully."
He looked directly at Fugaku.
"Does the Uchiha clan have the will to rebel?"
Even with the two so-called contracts in place, that alone was not enough to bind the entire Uchiha clan.
If he wanted the clan's full support, he first needed Fugaku's absolute obedience.
"Of course."
"The Uchiha clan is no longer willing to endure this oppression."
Fugaku's answer was imdiate and resolute.
He still didn't know the true strength of the Uzumaki remnants.
But from everything he had seen, they were at least in a far better position than the Uchiha.
And once he learned that Konoha's leadership intended to exterminate the Uchiha, there was no longer any reason to tolerate them.
This was a battle for survival.
"What abilities does your Mangekyō Sharingan possess?"
Uzumaki Shuji asked.
"Control over tal."
"And the ability to strengthen tal."
Fugaku did not hide it.
"So it's that ability."
Uzumaki Shuji instantly thought of Shin Uchiha.
Apparently, Shin's version of that eye technique had been greatly weakened compared to its original state—much like how Danzo had failed to fully utilize Uzumaki Shuji's eye.
At first glance, the abilities might not seem overwhelming.
But in reality, they were terrifyingly powerful.
In many ways, Fugaku was essentially a shinobi version of Magneto.
Uzumaki Shuji opened the Gate of Babylon and reached inside.
He withdrew a glass container filled with green fluid.
Suspended within it was a pale, finger-sized mass of flesh.
"This contains the cells of the First Hokage."
"They have a unique effect on the Uchiha."
"They can reduce the burden of the Mangekyō Sharingan—perhaps even eliminate it entirely."
He set the container on Fugaku's desk.
Uzumaki Shuji had taken several samples from Danzo.
The first one had significantly increased his mana.
After that, the returns diminished sharply.
There was no point in keeping them all.
Fugaku stared at the container.
The mont he saw it, his body grew hot.
He rarely used his Mangekyō Sharingan.
Within Konoha, most opponents could be handled without it.
But he understood better than anyone how much stronger he would beco if he could use its powers freely, without fear of blindness.
"There are risks."
"If you endure and avoid being assimilated by the cells, you'll gain everything I described."
"Your chakra reserves will also increase dramatically."
"But if you fail, your body will turn into wood, and you will die."
Uzumaki Shuji laid out the facts plainly.
These were crude, unstable Hashirama cells—not the refined versions later perfected by Orochimaru and Kabuto Yakushi.
Danzo's researchers were nowhere near their level.
Ordinary Uchiha would almost certainly die.
But soone who had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan should have a much better chance.
"Thank you. Truly."
Fugaku accepted the container without hesitation.
Every additional trump card made him feel just a little less suffocated.
"Konoha will descend into chaos soon."
"When I sound the horn of rebellion, I hope the Uchiha will stand with ."
That was Uzumaki Shuji's final statent.
He said nothing about Itachi Uchiha.
So secrets were best kept in reserve.
Fugaku rose to his feet.
"The Uchiha clan will be the first to answer your call."
"We will follow your lead."
To him, Uzumaki Shuji was the lifeline he had been desperately searching for.
And this ti, he would not let go.
