Konoha: I’m Naruto’s Brother — Gilgamesh Chapter 71 71: No One Understands the Uchiha Better Than He
Kakashi Hatake stood there in a daze, staring at the place where Obito Uchiha had disappeared.
A deep trench had been carved across the earth by the residual energy of the attack.
If the King had unleashed that technique at ground level instead of from above Hokage Rock, the entire village would likely have been pierced through—much like when the Nine-Tails fired a Tailed Beast Bomb years ago.
Uzumaki Shuji himself wasn't sure whether the strike had hit.
However, he had clearly seen ripples distort the surrounding space.
That ant Ea (Sword of Rupture) had indeed affected the dinsional barrier.
The only question was to what extent.
This ti, Uzumaki Shuji had used the minimum mana input and compressed the attack into a narrow beam aid at a single target.
The damage to space had therefore been highly localized.
The rifts healed almost instantly, leaving behind only faint ripples.
"Sharingan—Replay."
Uzumaki Shuji activated his Sharingan.
He had recorded every detail of the exchange.
Reviewing the image through the Sharingan's perfect recall, he saw it more clearly than he had with his own eyes.
"So only his shoulder was hit?"
He observed Obito sinking into the ground.
The instant danger approached, Obito had tilted his body and slipped downward as if gravity no longer applied to him.
In the end, only part of his left shoulder blade had been swallowed by the attack.
The dinsional fractures spread outward for a mont.
Then Obito vanished completely.
He might have been caught by the collapsing space and killed.
Or he might have survived.
Uzumaki Shuji chose to assu the latter.
Preparing for the worst was his habit.
"That power really is extraordinary."
Hashirama Senju stepped out from the shadows.
He had arrived shortly after the battle began, but had remained on the sidelines.
In his opinion, there had been no need for him to intervene.
"But it isn't a ninjutsu. It's the weapon in your hand, isn't it?"
"It's all your fault."
Uzumaki Shuji's tone toward Hashirama was as blunt as ever.
"If you had listened to Madara back then, he never would have walked this path."
"He wouldn't have needed to find a pawn to carry out that ridiculous plan."
"What plan?"
Hashirama asked curiously.
Uzumaki Shuji said nothing.
He wanted Hashirama to stew in that uncertainty.
"Stop."
Uzumaki Shuji turned toward Fugaku Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha, who were still facing one another.
"Itachi is one of mine."
"Fugaku, arrange for his identity to be restored."
He then looked at Kakashi.
"From this mont, Kakashi Hatake is removed from his position as Commander of Uruk's City Defense."
"Itachi Uchiha will assu the role."
"Kakashi will go farm."
"Yes."
Fugaku accepted imdiately.
Itachi remained silent.
Having just witnessed Uzumaki Shuji overwhelm the masked man, he was not particularly shocked.
After all, anyone capable of overthrowing Konoha should possess power of this level.
Kakashi lowered his head.
He offered no objection.
He had disobeyed the King's direct order.
Still, one question continued to tornt him.
Why had Obito beco like this?
And what did Madara Uchiha have to do with it?
"Co out, Jiraiya."
After handling Kakashi, Uzumaki Shuji turned to a nearby shadow.
The battle had caused too much commotion for Jiraiya not to notice.
Especially after the increased patrols earlier that day.
Jiraiya stepped forward from the darkness.
"Are you… really Minato and Kushina's child?"
"Yes."
Uzumaki Shuji nodded.
Then he asked directly:
"Did you co back to avenge your teacher, Hiruzen Sarutobi?"
"Or are you just here to take a look around and leave?"
At present, Jiraiya held little value to him.
If he wanted soone to fight, Uzumaki Shuji could do it himself.
And if he needed more power, Hashirama was still available as a free laborer.
Among the Three Sannin, the only one who truly interested Uzumaki Shuji was Orochimaru.
Technology was the primary productive force.
That principle remained true in any world.
"You really are mature."
Jiraiya almost asked if Uzumaki Shuji was so kind of monster.
In the end, he swallowed the words.
"Oh?"
Hashirama looked intrigued.
"So you're Sarutobi's disciple?"
He had noticed Jiraiya earlier but had paid him little attention.
"Follow the rules, and no one will bother you."
Uzumaki Shuji waved his hand dismissively.
"You two can chat if you want. Just keep your voices down."
"We're going to sleep."
With that, he carried the sleeping Naruto back inside.
"First Hokage…"
After Uzumaki Shuji left, Jiraiya turned to Hashirama.
"Do you think that child might be a problem?"
Hashirama nodded solemnly.
"Yes."
"I think he's a very big problem."
Then he looked Jiraiya straight in the eye.
"But what exactly can you do about it?"
"Can you beat him?"
Jiraiya froze.
He had originally thought he might be able to try sothing.
But after witnessing an attack comparable to a Tailed Beast Bomb, he decided against it.
Far away, hidden in a secret refuge.
Obito lay on the ground, while two White Zetsu clones worked frantically to stop the bleeding.
"You've lost a trendous amount of blood."
Black Zetsu watched him calmly.
"If not for the White Zetsu tissue and Hashirama cells reinforcing your body, you'd already be dead."
"GRAAAAH!"
Obito roared like a wounded beast.
The pain was unbearable.
The wound was less than five centiters from his heart.
Without Zetsu's rescue, he would have bled out.
"I'll have my revenge!"
"I'll make him taste true despair!"
Obito scread.
But beneath that rage, his mind was colder than ever.
He had never fully trusted Zetsu.
Now his suspicion had grown to its highest level.
If he turned against Zetsu imdiately, he would die.
And Zetsu would simply choose Nagato as a replacent.
Obito would endure.
He would survive.
And he would uncover the truth.
No matter who was responsible for Rin's death—
He would learn the truth.
And he would have his revenge.
"Focus on staying alive first."
Black Zetsu spoke in his raspy voice.
But inside, new calculations were already taking shape.
He had heard every word Uzumaki Shuji said.
He did not believe Obito could remain unaffected.
Unfortunately, suitable pawns were not easy to find.
The Uchiha were too unstable.
Even the control seal Madara had placed on Obito's heart was not enough to guarantee obedience forever.
Without overwhelming trauma to drive them into madness, an Uchiha could turn on their master at any ti.
After all—
No one understood the Uchiha better than he did.
