After a long year of separation, I received an unexpected call from my father, asking to take care of a certain boy.
Though I was initially reluctant to co, I thought it would be fine, and I was also curious about how that boy managed to return, instead of becoming an egoless person.
Upon arriving at the mansion, the first thing I saw and heard was...
"La~LaLa~La~~La~LLAAA~" A boy's cheerful, carefree humming.
I was struck dumb with astonishnt as I saw him... a boy who was destined to kill everyone.... now singing with an untroubled joy, as if he didn't have a care in the world.
It was at that mont that my bloodline ability triggered as if sensing he was going to cause sothing. I prepared myself for whatever he was planning to do... But,
What I saw in the future was...
A future that had never appeared before... A future where I was being hugged warmly, a future where I was rained with kisses and spoiled like a child, and...
A future where I-I was riding sothing with a lovely expression... That had never happened before.
My face twisted in horror, unable to believe what I had just witnessed.
I never thought my life was going to change. 'What the hell is going on...' I thought, shocked, surprised, and slightly embarrassed.
'I-I need to avoid him!' I thought seriously, wanting to avoid him at all costs... There was no way I was making that ugly face!
Yet, for so reason, I found myself drawn towards him... Just out of curiosity. Why him?
Why him, specifically?
Because it had never happened before, I wondered what was different now...
Is he special...? I wondered.
His actions, his emotions, his words... everything seed too mature for his age, and, even more, he sohow managed to get on my nerves.
No matter what he did or said, even if it was innocent, my mind always went back to that 'part where I was riding sothing,' and I couldn't control myself as I lashed out at him.
I, who had always maintained my dignity and cold deanour, was slowly showing more emotions towards that boy.
To be honest, I am scared of seeing myself like that in the future... I really wanted to avoid him, to avoid being taken by him, and yet, the more I looked at him... the more I saw his different sides, the more I wanted him by my side.
It's laughable to see a potential killer turned into a potential lover!
Still, his gentle smile and his teasing slowly but surely cracked my cold exterior.
But one thing was certain, he did enter my heart!
Coming back to reality,
Aether stared at with curious eyes as he asked, "Tell , what did you see?"
My cheeks turned red. Of course, there was no way I could share those details, and if I did... I was pretty sure my vision would co true by tonight!
And there was no way I would allow that... for now!!
"I-I didn't see anything," I lied as I gulped down so wine, but Aether looked at as if he knew I was lying through my teeth.

Aether suddenly smirked as if he had figured sothing out. 'Oh god, please!' I scread inwardly, trying to steer the conversation back to the previous subject, but Aether ignored and stared at my face before slowly eating his food, as if saying, 'I'll eat this first and... next will be y—'
'Arrh!! What am I thinking!!' I shouted inwardly, wondering why my mind always went to dirty places whenever he was involved.
'I really think he's the only one who's dirty! I'm not!' I convinced myself before continuing to eat.
Since we had covered everything I wanted to discuss, it was ti for to leave. There was no way I was staying here for another two hours... For what? To continue this conversation?
Hell No!!
As I continued to eat, I couldn't help but notice how he looked in his attire. 'Damn, he really looks incredibly handso in that...' I thought with an admiring gaze.
Whatever clothes he wore, he always looked strikingly handso, as if they had been tailored exclusively for him.
"Hm!!!" My eyes widened abruptly when I felt sothing brushing against my foot.
I glanced under the table and noticed... it was Aether's foot!
'P-Pervert!! Is he trying to seduce with his foot!? ' I thought with a serious expression. I refused to succumb to such lowly tactics and was about to nudge his foot away when...
"Delphine~"
His voice, soft and filled with longing, made my heart skip a beat. My face turned wary, sensing that he was about to pull so kind of stunt.
"W-What?" I asked cautiously. I was determined not to let this man get what he wanted from ... I would never show my 'ugly' emotions or ride on him!!
Never!!!
"Have you ever kissed anyone before?" he asked with a seductive grin that made my body shiver with a mix of fear and... excitent?

"W-What are you asking? O-of course not!!" I answered strictly... though my cheeks were burning hot.
As a strict professor, I needed to maintain my image!!
"I see..." Aether said with a smile that suggested he had learned sothing valuable.
'Ba-dump'
I wondered why my heart skipped a beat.
Suddenly, he took my hand in his and said with a sincere expression, "I understand why you're avoiding ... But is avoiding really the only way to change the future?" His gaze held a vulnerable plea as if he didn't want to be avoided.

That was the honest truth. Since awakening my bloodline ability, I had only known that avoiding them might alter the future because they were related to ... That was all I understood.

Hearing those words, my heart sank with dread. "A-Aether, please don't! You don't know what will happen—"
"Believe ... I will protect everything... And I promise that!!" he said with conviction as he stood up and moved closer to .

I swallowed unconsciously, unsure why, but seeing his unwavering determination made think that maybe... maybe there was another way to avoid those futures without having to avoid him.
