While Ember was socializing with others, and Master Shen had congratulated him, Felix quietly summoned Moon.
As soon as Moon appeared, she owed in annoyance. She didn’t like socializing with others. She preferred solitary places like a branch of a tree with a moonlight warming her body.
Crowded places would instantly drain her—except she’d be fighting an opponent where she could release her frustration at once.
Her master obviously summoned her to be familiarized with the clingy Ember, who already annoyed her back in the soul space.
Ember tried her best to initiate having conversation until she beca annoying to Moon. Moon even had to resort releasing her energy aura to drive her away.
Ember was obviously disheartened. She didn’t inform her master and believed it would only be a matter of ti before Moon would allow her to be part of her life.
She didn’t want to instigate a conflict between Moon and her master because of her.
Moon gazed at Ember with cold gaze before laying down on her master’s shoulder. She could remain like this despite feeling slightly uncomfortable until her master had no choice but to put her into the soul space.
Master Shen noticed Moon’s behavior and said, "Your beast pets have a complete opposite personality. Can you handle it?"
Felix smiled. He said, "Are your beast pet like that too, Master Shen?"
"Mhm." Master Shen nodded. "Conflicts are inevitable. As their master, I have to be the most patient one and always be non-bias when resolving their problem. I honestly rather fight a powerful opponent rather than defeating the problem between my beast pets."
Felix chuckled. "I feel the sa."
Felix didn’t store Moon on his soul space. Even when she tried her best to be at low-spirit, lying on his shoulder and closing her eyes, seemingly completely uninterested to whatever possible activities that might interest her, he was adamant to alleviate Moon’s extre introverted behavior.
Felix glanced at Krisha, who was watching quietly at the back. Her eyes drifted from Ember to Doctor Eleanor from ti to ti, and her face showed extre dissatisfaction for so reason.
She might just be jealous of Doctor Eleanor. Felix chuckled. I’m also not surprised that she’s not interacting with Ember. Aside from not having a chance, Ember had extre concentration of fire energy that instinctively push a creature with imnse affinity with ice energy like Krisha.
Felix assumption was correct. As Krisha had developed a near perfect affinity with ice energy, she’d develop an instinctual response to be away from creatures that has imnse affinity with fire energy like Ember.
Felix suddenly thought of a possibility where Krisha might distance herself from him, causing his heart to skip a beat.
He silently walked around Doctor Eleanor and others before arriving beside Krisha, who was a bit surprised.
She asked, "What?" Her tone was ambiguous.
Felix repled, "I just want to let you know that I didn’t choose that beast pet to create a distance between us. I just need an aerial beast pet with an elental energy that complented with Ashen.
It just ca into of the possibility that you might thought I did it in purpose just to distance myself from you. I don’t want to happen that at all cost."
Krisha was utterly surprised. For so reason, a strange uncomfortable feeling rushed through her body. Her heart raced and her face reddened for so reason.
She wondered what was happening, but when Felix stared at her with guilty expression, she imdiately turned her face around and replied to give him an assurance.
"I-I didn’t think like that, really. How thoughtful of you to try explaining whatever cos into your mind."
Felix bead a smile and wondered why she was acting in a bizarre manner.
"That’s good to know. Also, Ember is really clingy. You can just drive her away since it’s understandable. After all, her potential is as high as yours."
Krisha’s emotion instantly stabilized when she heard what Felix had said. What she feared the most was being unable to befriend Ember.
She secretly sighed.
He’s really understanding.
Krisha kept her straight face, but she was not facing Felix.
Felix gazed at her side view face that has a serious expression.
She replied, "That’s good to know, then. She’s cute, I admit, and I want to interact with her, but her imnse affinity with fire energy is driving away."
Felix nodded. "Don’t worry, I’ll tell her not to disturb you."
They remained silent for a while before Felix asked, "Don’t you feel the sa towards ?"
Krisha’s eyebrows raised. She turned towards Felix and rolled her eyes.
"You consist of many different elental energy. In fact, when you ca near , your body emitted ice energy, completely erasing the presence of your fire energy."
Felix was surprised. He said, "I didn’t do it consciously. But my energy circulation has been controlled precisely that it already knows what to do before I have to remind them."
Krisha was surprised. She felt warm inside.
She smiled. "Good for you, then."
Felix and Krisha chatted for a while as others enjoyed themselves by interacting with Ember, bringing them to various places, giving her the joyous monts of her life.
In the end, it was always Doctor Eleanor who won her heart. Behind her was Mia, who had difficulty choosing to keep her attention between Ember and Ashen.
She both like them deeply.
Just as night arrived, Felix ordered the evolutionary materials for Ember and it was expected to arrive for an hour. However, Doctor Ella had already planned to have dinner in a finest restaurant inside the area of the Beast Tar Departnt, so Felix contacted the store to deliver it only once he updated to them that he was at the location he sent.
Once they finished dinner together with Ember, they finally returned to Doctor Ella’s residence.
Felix found a chance to ask for Doctor Ella’s permission for Ember to have a breakthrough inside her residence. Doctor Ella agreed. In fact, she already had a room built for ditation and breakthrough phase.
Although she was utterly surprised that Felix’s newly beast pet was about to ascend in the Rare rank already, she simply gaslighted herself that Felix was an anomaly as she closed the door with chaotic mind.
She still could not fathom Felix and his beast pets’ potential. Sure, it was a divine gift for the mankind to produce a once in a million talent, or perhaps, once in a ten million, but she felt there might be a deeper reason why it happened.
She couldn’t get rid of the idea of an upcoming catastrophe that might appear with Felix be the one leading to defend against it.
Even if mankind would be able to repel it, the damage might be unimaginable and it might take soti to recover the loss.
Just the thought of it agitated her.
She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and exhaled to simr down her troubled heart.
No matter what’s waiting for us, I hope that in the end, humanity will prevail. And also, we’ll finally be able to reclaim our world.
She was in college that she learned that humanity only covered a small portion of the world. She was absolutely shocked. She couldn’t sleep for many nights because of it.
Such information was not publicized in fear of agitating the public, which would entirely affect the mood of every city.
Even if it was already spread, those who were aware knew that it shouldn’t be disseminated. If they, who already held a certain authority due to their status, were agitated, how about the public who were powerless?
It was why the Monarchs never tried to contend with each other because of territorial disputes. Ironically, the whole humanity’s area weren’t even fully explored because of the range limitations of the black obsidian obelisk, allowing space rift to erge outside of their cities.
Not only they were threatened by the space rifts, beast races had also been scattered in the human territory. They were pretty much impossible to be annihilated.
The humanity also didn’t treat them as threats. Instead, they utilized them as a cultivation for young beast tars, who needed experience to fight against them.
So that when a beast wave erged, the casualties would be lesser and it had been proven many tis in the past.
Humanity were hungry for progress and expansion, and it showed because of how the mayors contend with each other positively.
Although Felix’s appearance was considered an anomaly, it wasn’t seen as a threat.
Felix was definitely their ray of hope for humanity’s further progress.
Doctor Ella was aware of it, that was why she was looking forward for Felix’s future.
Felix was aware of the humanity’s expectations of him, but he didn’t let them pressure him. He was taking it easy, to allow himself to take a breath.
At the mont, he summoned Rain, Ashen, Moon, and Ember.
He was delighted that know that there were additions to his family. He introduced them to each other first, with Rain and Ashen communicating easily, like a kid who were befriending each other.
They already had constant contact in the soul space, but this ti, there were no barriers. Although Rain had a water elent and Ashen had a fire elent, which was a complete opposite, they managed to make out their difference and communicated just fine.
Perhaps because they were both weapons in the first place.
Moon and Ember on the other hand had a different interaction.
Because they weren’t communicating at all...
