Chapter 1064: Chapter 1064: Star Era Guide (14)
The fight between Chuzheng and Jing Lan made Jing Lan acknowledge Chuzheng and Xiao Jiu’s presence, and he stopped ordering them around.
Professor Wei talked to Jing Lan about him hitting people, and Jing Lan looked as if he didn’t rember, with a face that said, ‘whatever you say.’
The incident with Chuzheng, the instigator, was glossed over.
In the end, no one was punished, and what happened with Jing Lan hitting the teacher was left unresolved.
Anyway, the school didn’t spread any bad rumors.
As for the dorm people, they now avoided her whenever they saw her.
Since Chuzheng and Xiao Jiu were students, they had to attend classes, but Jing Lan didn’t intend to teach at all; he spent his days either drinking or sleeping.
After that day, Chuzheng and Jing Lan hadn’t spoken, as if they didn’t see each other.
Chuzheng examined the specins on the shelf; they seed fake, resembling animals from pre-Star Era Earth.
“Interested?”
A man’s voice ca from behind.
Soon, Chuzheng slled alcohol.
The wine had a fruity aroma, sweet and not too strong.
“There are books over there, if you’re interested you can teach yourself.” The man’s voice faded: “But don’t ask , I don’t understand.”
Chuzheng turned to look at him: “Why be a teacher if you don’t understand?”
Jing Lan propped himself on the edge of the table and quickly sat up.
He said with a clear conscience, “There aren’t any students anyway.”
Chuzheng: “…”
Most of the ti, Jing Lan had a bad temper, always impatient, like a powder keg ready to explode at anyone who touched him.
But today, he seed quite calm.
Chuzheng could understand Jing Lan though.
From a heavenly pride to a waste, bearing infamy, pointed out by the world, anyone would find that hurdle unbearable.
Jing Lan, apart from having a bit of a temper and drinking all day, kept himself clean and tidy, not sloppy, with an obvious handsoness.
Chuzheng had never seen him drunk either.
Sotis, however, those deep blue eyes glead with a certain hazy light, eerie, a little scary.
That’s when it’s best not to provoke him.
Otherwise, it’s not just a powder keg, it’s an atomic bomb.
Chuzheng fell silent, quietly observing the specins.
Jing Lan squinted at her for a mont, then shifted his gaze and lay down on the table, quickly falling asleep.
–
Since the day she t Xie Wanwan, Chuzheng had not seen her again.
However, she had heard quite a few rumors about Xie Wanwan.
Xie Wanwan had been tested to have Psychic Power A , soone like that was an object of social interest wherever she went.
Thus, even though Xie Wanwan hadn’t been at the academy for long, she was already a celebrity.
“Boss, do you want to test your spiritual power?” Xiao Jiu lay on the table, eyes rolling, “If you find out you have spiritual power, that would be amazing.”
Actually, having spiritual power often ca with anomalies, like malfunctioning electronics, or strange occurrences around you…
In the original owner’s mory, no strange events had occurred.
She had tried other thods as well, but she seed to have no spiritual power.
Knock knock…
Soone knocked on the door.
Xiao Jiu got up to open it and returned soon after with an unpleasant face: “Boss, they notified us to go down for military training.”
Chuzheng: “??”
What the heck?
What does freshman military training have to do with us?
And shouldn’t they have notified us a while ago?
Why are they just notifying us now?
Chuzheng looked at the door and saw most people were already prepared, in uniform, with marching bags, everything in order.
“Boss, I think they intentionally didn’t notify us.”
“Oh really, there’s a notice board downstairs, didn’t you think to check yourself?” Soone from the next room ca out, catching their comnts, responding sarcastically.
Xiao Jiu: “…”
She genuinely hadn’t seen it.
As for Chuzheng, she walked in and out every day expressionless, where would she notice any notices?
Plenty of eyes in the corridor watched the scene unfold with amusent.
Chuzheng saw from afar the girls who had previously picked a fight, provocatively flipping her off.
Looks like they intentionally blocked the ssage from reaching them.
Seems like last ti’s attempt to make ands wasn’t sincere enough!
“Did you prepare nothing?”
Soone from another dorm hesitated, looking at them.
“Well, the teacher might have notified you too…”
Notifications were first sent to professors and teachers.
Jing Lan, soone who didn’t regard himself as a teacher, must have forgotten after seeing it, let alone rembering to tell Chuzheng.
The dorm’s news was blocked, and with their Paleobiology Departnt having no other living things, how could they have known?
–
When it finally ca ti to gather, Chuzheng and Xiao Jiu managed to change into the right clothes; no one knew where they got them from.
On the academy’s enormous sports field, small aircraft were parked, with military personnel maintaining order, and students were boarding the aircraft one batch at a ti.
Mostly each departnt had its own aircraft, the smaller departnts shared one aircraft with another.
Professors or teachers stood by, supervising and directing.
Chuzheng and Xiao Jiu were different…
They didn’t even see a trace of Jing Lan.
Xie Wanwan and her companion were boarding together.
“They look quite pitiful,” comnted a companion with a sneer.
“Where did they get their gear from? I thought they weren’t notified?”
“Could soone have tipped them off?”
“No way, I made sure of it.”
Xie Wanwan nudged them: “It’s our turn, let’s go up.”
They promptly stopped talking and headed onto the aircraft.
Xie Wanwan glanced their way; soone ran over from afar, said sothing to them, and led them aside.
As more people boarded, Xie Wanwan caught a quick glimpse; she only saw several aircraft parked over there, the ones that professors and teachers used, different from theirs.
–
Professor Wei had arranged for Chuzheng and Xiao Jiu to be on his aircraft.
Jing Lan was there too, his head covered with clothes, chestnut-colored hair poking out from the edges.
His hands were slumped in front, in a casual pose.
“Wake up.” Professor Wei nudged Jing Lan with his foot, “Do your job as their teacher and look after your students!”
Jing Lan shifted but didn’t respond.
Professor Wei felt exasperated: “Find a seat for yourselves.”
The principal had instructed for them to be looked after.
Professor Wei consoled himself, arranging seats for Chuzheng and Xiao Jiu, but then suddenly Jing Lan pulled down his clothes, turned his head slightly, and squinted at Chuzheng: “Sit inside.”
He moved his feet, just enough to let Chuzheng through.
Professor Wei didn’t know what Jing Lan was up to now.
Chuzheng glanced at him, calmly slipping further in to sit.
Professor Wei wanted to say sothing but reconsidered, allowing Xiao Jiu to find her own seat.
“As a teacher, shouldn’t you have notified about today’s military training?”
“Didn’t I notify you?”
“Did you? In a dream maybe?!”
“Oh, I forgot.”
“…”
Jing Lan pulled his clothes back and continued sleeping.
The aircraft started soon; the view from Chuzheng’s side was transparent, allowing her to see below.
The batch of students hadn’t moved yet.
