[Thank-You Card synthesizing...]

[Thank-You Card synthesis successful, current progress 36%.]

Chuzheng was mysteriously silent. The progress was so slow it felt hopeless; when would it ever reach 100%?

[Sister, you just need to keep doing good deeds,] King’s Account guided Chuzheng.

Would the Thank-You Card simply co if she just lay around all day?

Heh.

Chuzheng couldn’t be bothered with the Bastard.

"Why isn’t it back to the real world yet?" Chuzheng suddenly asked.

If they waited any longer, wouldn’t she be cremated?

[Sister, don’t worry. I’ve got it all under control,] King’s Account promised, assuring her that her body wouldn’t be cremated.

Chuzheng: "..."

-

Chuzheng was awakened by screams, and before she opened her eyes, she slled a salty tang of the sea. The place she lay was unstable, swaying, with the sound of water outside.

What place is this?

Chuzheng quickly sat up, checked herself, and found nothing unusual except a slight fever.

"Are we going to die here? I don’t want to die!!" a woman scread hysterically, her voice sharp and piercing, making Chuzheng’s eardrums ache.

She rubbed her ears with her hand and looked towards the direction of the voice.

There was a door, slightly ajar, with the sound coming from outside.

And her current position...

Was roughly a ten-square-ter room with bunk beds, two rows, four spots in total, each bed had stuff on it.

The voices from outside continued to co in.

"There’s no signal, what are we going to do!!"

"Damn it, why did we encounter this weather? At departure, they said the weather was great?"

"And where did the Boat Captain go? Guarding the ship for so long?"

"What are you all shouting for, keep quiet!!"

With a shout, the outside suddenly quieted down.

Chuzheng confird that the people outside wouldn’t co in for a while, then went to close the door and began to receive mories.

-

The original host’s surna was Liu, a college student, not from a wealthy background, but quite beautiful with many admirers in school, yet she was unswayed.

Her roommate, Li Tian, loved adventure, always thinking about where to explore next.

Just recently, the original host needed a sum of money urgently, and Li Tian suddenly asked if she wanted to go out with her. If she agreed, Li Tian would give her so money.

The original host knew the money wouldn’t co easily, but had no choice but to agree to Li Tian’s offer.

Li Tian was straightforward, giving her the money upfront, resolving her imdiate crisis.

Then they waited for the long holiday to set off with Li Tian.

It wasn’t until departure that the original host learned who provided the money.

Among her many admirers was a rich second-generation nad Lan Chen. The idea to bring her along ca from this rich kid.

Besides Lan Chen and Li Tian, there was a guy in the team, Li Tian’s boyfriend, and both loved outdoor adventures.

The itinerary was set by Lan Chen; the original host didn’t understand these things and just followed along.

They took a plane, then a train, and finally a bus. After all the trouble, they t the guide and were told a few more people would join them.

There were five people in total, older, seemingly a more professional expedition team.

When they officially departed, there were four of them, plus five others, and a tour guide, making ten in total.

Additionally, there was a Boat Captain and his son.

Yes, they had to take a boat as well.

The journey was peaceful at first, but after several days on the boat, it grew tedious, and everyone gathered to discuss their destination.

The original host wasn’t interested, spending most of her ti in the cabin or wandering the boat.

It rained on the day of departure, and the boat broke down, trapping them on the river.

With the fierce wind and rain, they couldn’t move, scaring the less courageous badly.

Even stranger, the Boat Captain and his son disappeared, no matter how hard they searched.

With people missing and such severe weather, the group dared not do anything, staying huddled on the boat. Luckily, the next day the weather improved, but the Boat Captain was still missing. They suspected he’d fallen overboard while checking the ship.

So thought they should turn back, but others believed they were close to their destination and shouldn’t give up.

When it ca to a vote, the majority chose to continue forward.

So the minority followed the majority, and they pressed on.

Fortunately, soone knew how to steer, and they reached their destination safely without further incident.

Onshore, the original host learned they were searching for a village, following them silently. She tried to minimize her presence, but Lan Chen’s excessive attention and occasional fondling drew the group’s attention.

Along the way, so were injured while others fell ill, leading to a host of complications and complaints.

The original host expected aid, but when soone was severely injured, they actually chose to abandon the companion and continue moving forward.

The original host was unwilling but helpless, as Lan Chen and the others dragged her away.

After a week, they finally found the village.

Calling it a village wasn’t precise; it was more of a settlent.

But no one lived there anymore. The group decided to camp in the village area. Having lost many supplies along the way, tents were scarce, and everyone had to share.

One day, while the others were exploring nearby, the original host, not feeling well, stayed behind with Li Tian.

Half asleep, she felt soone pressing down on her.

Li Tian, who was supposed to stay with her, had left the tent at so point, replaced by Lan Chen.

Lan Chen had ill intentions. Terrified, the original host struggled and ran out of the tent, but not far before Lan Chen caught her. In the struggle, she hit her head, bleeding severely.

Lan Chen, frightened, didn’t check if she was still alive, afraid the incident would be exposed, pushed the original host down a slope.

That’s how the original host died.

Tragic indeed.

The current tiline places them still on the boat, with the Boat Captain missing, the storm raging outside, and the boat swaying fiercely, leaving the group terrified and clamoring to go ho.

Crack—

The room’s door was pushed but didn’t open.

Imdiately, soone outside shouted, "Xiao Zheng? Are you okay?"

Chuzheng, holding her forehead, sat on the iron single bed. Upon hearing the voice, she looked toward the door.

"Xiao Zheng?"

Voices outside grew.

"What’s going on?"

"The door won’t open, and there’s no sound from inside..."

"Did sothing happen?"

"The Boat Captain’s missing, nothing else can go wrong, break it open and check."

The mont the words were out, the door opened from inside. A flashlight’s beam illuminated inside, and a girl calmly held up the door: "Anything?"

"Xiao Zheng, you scared to death." A boy squeezed through the crowd, looking worried: "I thought sothing happened to you. Why didn’t you make a sound in there?"
