Xiao Qiu!

Chuzheng clearly saw that person and imdiately thought of this na.

Xiao Qiu stood silently there, head bowed, his hands hanging naturally. The color of his hands didn’t look like that of a living person.

Chuzheng couldn’t sense any signs of life from him.

Dead...

Shit!

Chuzheng made a split-second decision, swiftly turned around, and returned to her tent. She had just entered when a scream sounded outside.

It was the voice of Yao Qing... Poor thing, seeing this early in the morning.

Luckily she ran fast, otherwise they’d suspect her again. It’s not her fault, so of course, she wants to avoid trouble. She has no ti to waste.

But why did Xiao Qiu appear here?

There’s no way he walked up here by himself and stood there, right?

Chuzheng rubbed her arms and listened as the voices outside quieted down, then she went outside.

The fog outside was still thick, Yao Qing was being supported by Xiao Mo, trembling all over with fright.

Brother Gao and Gan Lu were putting Xiao Qiu down, Lan Chen and the others stood outside, looking shocked as well.

Once Brother Gao and Gan Lu placed Xiao Qiu on the ground, Chuzheng finally noticed a piece of wood where Xiao Qiu had been standing.

The wood went through the clothes from the bottom, preventing Xiao Qiu from falling down.

Li Tian clutched Xie Ningfeng’s arm: "Is he... is he still alive?"

"Dead."

The atmosphere instantly beca tense.

Lan Chen, slightly braver, walked over and asked: "Why is he here? Who brought him here?"

Brother Gao shook his head.

Gan Lu was checking Xiao Qiu’s pants; the back was severely worn, and his swollen leg was bloody and raw.

Gan Lu said: "There are drag marks, must be after Xiao Qiu died... soone dragged him here."

"Who did it?"

Everyone was there, who could have brought him there?

Everyone felt uneasy, having no clue.

Brother Gao asked Uncle Min: "Is there anyone else here?"

"There couldn’t have been anyone, you saw the journey here too, no signs of activity at all." Uncle Min shook his head.

Brother Gao frowned: "Could there be soone here?"

Lan Chen: "Savages?"

Brother Gao speculated: "Soone might have stayed here from before, maybe so people originally ca to this place?"

Uncle Min looked bewildered, shaking his head, indicating he didn’t know, also hadn’t heard of any savages around.

"Did anyone hear anything last night?"

"The wind was so loud, I didn’t hear a thing."

"Neither did I..."

"No."

The wind was indeed loud last night, if soone was outside doing sothing, they might not have heard it.

Li Tian gritted his teeth and said: "He definitely couldn’t have run here on his own, soone must have brought him, you..."

"We were all here; it was so far from where Xiao Qiu was put down, not enough ti for a round trip overnight."

Chuzheng listened to all their speculations, her gaze suddenly focused on the fog.

She frowned and counted the heads, noticing one extra behind Brother Gao...

Should I warn them or not?

"Soone’s there!"

Chuzheng hadn’t decided whether to warn them when she heard Brother Gao shout, then charge out.

The shadow standing behind Brother Gao earlier vanished too.

Shortly after, Xiao Mo followed. The two of them quickly rushed into the thick fog.

[Hidden Task: Obtain one Good Person Card from Xin Zhu and prevent the blackening of the Good Person Card.]

Chuzheng: "..."

Good Person Card?

Are you joking?

Apart from these few people, there was only that ghost-like thing earlier, and you’re telling about a Good Person Card?

[Miss, I’m not joking, it’s your card.] Would you like it or not?

Chuzheng: "..."

Can I choose not to take it?

A card appearing in such a place will definitely be troubleso!

[Miss, you shouldn’t pick and choose among your cards; you must treat all cards equally!]

Chuzheng: "..."

Chuzheng took a deep breath and chased in that direction.

The fog was too dense, it was hard to see anything far away, luckily there was only one path this way.

"Damn!"

Chuzheng heard Xiao Mo curse from afar, followed by the sound of fighting, but it quickly stopped.

"Bang!"

A bullet hit sothing, landed on the ground, after a series of strange noises, it went silent.

Chuzheng ran over, seeing Xiao Mo sitting on the ground holding his arm, already bleeding.

Brother Gao still held his weapon, aid at the fog.

"Brother Gao... did it escape?"

"Not sure. Are you alright?"

"Just scratched, I’m fine." Xiao Mo stood up from the ground: "Below this... seems to be a slope, that thing probably went down there, didn’t it?"

"Yeah."

"Did you hit it?"

"I should have hit it." Brother Gao wasn’t very sure, he heard the sound of the bullet hitting, but it sounded odd.

Brother Gao put away his weapon: "Let’s go back first, in case we’re being lured away."

Xiao Mo nodded, and the two quickly retraced their steps.

Chuzheng waited until they left, then went to the spot where they’d stood before and peered below.

Yesterday she saw this place, it had lots of vines and brambles, a patch of trees below.

Judging by the impression on the vines, sothing certainly rolled down...

Chuzheng exhaled, grabbed sothing nearby, and went down.

-

The campsite.

Brother Gao brought Xiao Mo back, by this ti the sun was up, sunlight penetrating the fog, the light improved quite a bit, improving visibility as well.

"Anything unusual?"

Gan Lu, who stayed back, shook her head: "Everything is normal."

Brother Gao glanced around, frowning: "Where is Miss Liu?"

Everyone glanced around, not seeing the familiar figure.

Brother Gao checked near the tents, didn’t see her there either.

"I saw her co out earlier..." Xiao Mo wondered aloud: "Didn’t anyone see where she went?"

With the earlier situation, everyone was on edge, who would pay attention?

"Don’t mind her for now." Brother Gao said: "That seed to be a person just now, but the fog was too thick, we didn’t dare keep chasing, afraid sothing might happen here."

Lan Chen was surprised: "There really is soone here?"

Brother Gao: "Not sure if they followed us or were here before. Xiao Qiu... must have been brought by that person."

"What are they trying to do? Scare us or sothing?"

"..."

This question was one Brother Gao couldn’t answer.

They didn’t even get a clear look at the person, not sure if it was male or female.

"Everyone stay alert, don’t wander off until the fog lifts." Brother Gao instructed.

Lan Chen pointed at Xiao Qiu on the ground: "What about him then?"

Brother Gao paused: "We’ll bury him sowhere once the fog clears."

Xiao Qiu was one of them, Lan Chen and the others couldn’t say much, and the three went back to their tents.

"Where did Liu Chuzheng go?"

Lan Chen: "Leave her be, she’ll get herself killed... But to think, there’s actually soone here."

Li Tian was a bit scared: "Maybe they followed us, think about it, Lan Chen, that Boat Captain disappeared mysteriously before."
