Sylvie was moving toward Jax when a voice cut through.
Zharina.
Still on the ground. Still clutching between her legs. Still feeling every pulse of pain from that kick.
And absolutely furious.
"You’re making the academy your enemy." Her voice was strained but mocking. "For what? So cock-hungry slut who just happened to spread her legs at the right ti? Or For that horny fucker who just saved you by mistake?"
She forced herself to sit up.
"Don’t forget. Without us, you all would be dood. Your precious kingdoms would be ashes right now."
Her eyes locked onto Sylvie.
"And speaking of him? I know him better than you do. He’s not possessed. He’s not being manipulated."
She laughed bitterly.
"It’s just his amusent. Another girl to play with. Another toy he’ll throw away once he gets bored."
Her smile turned cruel.
"So why not throw them both behind bars together? Let them fuck around until he loses interest. And when she realizes he can’t save her? When she sees she was using wrong puppet?"
She made an explosion gesture with her hand.
"Boom. More drama. More entertainnt for us."
From the sidelines, Zinnia raised her hand cheerfully.
"I second that motion."
Azara’s head snapped toward her. A deadly glare.
Everyone looked at Zinnia for a mont. Confused. Disturbed.
’What the hell is wrong with her?’
Then their attention shifted to Jax.
He was talking to Maya. Whispering sothing. Completely ignoring the entire conversation.
He hadn’t heard a single word.
Too busy plotting. Too focused on his next move.
If he had heard it, things would be different. Zharina and Zinnia. His two past victims. His two lookalikes that he had made them pay as per his revenge.
They would face hell.
He had only warned Lysandra. But for those two? He would do far worse.
Change their very Architecture they were proud of, or seeing the love for his sister and now the lusty system there future would be worse.
Sylvie turned to Zharina. Smiled gently.
"I pray to god that you’re wrong here."
No anger. No ego. Just calm royal grace.
She averted the insult like water off stone and walked toward Jax. Behind her, the entire faculty closed the distance. Hands ready. Eyes watching.
"Jax."
Sylvie’s voice was firm.
"I think you don’t realize. Hiding things will lead you to big trouble."
Jax was still talking to Maya. He turned slowly. Just looked at Sylvie. Said nothing.
She continued.
"Tell , Jax."
She pointed at Maya.
"Why are you trying to save her? What changed your mind? The anger I saw before. The revenge you wanted."
Her eyes narrowed.
"Don’t lie to . I’ve seen the anger in your eyes. Hidden behind lust. Behind whatever mask you wanted to show us."
She stepped closer.
"I’ve seen what you did to those girls. I’ve seen what you did to the one you thought was the leader. How you broke him from the inside."
Her voice hardened.
"And now the real leader is standing right here. And you’re protecting her. That makes no sense."
She paused.
"Tell , Jax. What changed you? What—"
"She did."
Jax cut her off. Pointed at Maya.
"Your every point is valid. And I have every reason to save her."
He looked at Sylvie directly.
"Why wouldn’t I save soone who is innocent here?"
Aerisya’s ancient eyes narrowed.
"What do you an by that?"
Jax’s expression shifted to sothing serious.
"This girl here was possessed."
Silence.
Everyone beca attentive. Even Lysandra’s burning rage cooled slightly. Curiosity replacing anger.
Aerisya spoke again.
"Explain."
Jax nodded.
"Sylv— I an, Queen Sylvie was right. I wanted revenge. And as you saw, she was the last target on my list. The main one. The one who orchestrated everything."
He paused.
"I was ready to give her exactly what she deserved. But then—"
He stopped.
Silence stretched. People leaned forward. Wanting him to continue.
"As I said. Possessed."
His eyes scanned the crowd.
"And you know by whom? Well, you should know the answer already. Who else could it be?"
His gaze landed on Lysandra.
"The most corrupt race. The filth-born demons. And luckily, we have an example standing right here."
Lysandra’s fists clenched.
Aerisya stepped forward.
"Stop with your lies. Stop with this bullshit." Her voice was sharp. "You think we’ll buy this nonsense just to satisfy your desires?"
Jax smiled.
"Oh, Professor. You still don’t get it."
He spread his arms.
"Tell . Why are these people from another world here? Does any of this make sense to you?"
He gestured at the battlefield. At the corpses. At everything.
"What’s with the skills they possess? Aren’t they otherworldly? Too overpowered for normal humans?"
His voice dropped.
"Tell . How is this happening? And why?"
Silence.
No one had an answer.
Aerisya’s mouth opened. Then closed.
Lysandra said nothing.
Even Rowen and Gareth looked confused.
Jax knew the truth. The gods. The bets. The ga they were all pawns in.
It would be revealed soon anyway. The captives would talk. Information would spread.
And if the gods wanted to hide their sins? Their funny little ga? They would have interfered by now.
But they didn’t.
They didn’t care.
Which ant Jax could use this. He could change everything. Shift everyone’s perspective. Carve a lie so deep it becos reality.
So he did.
He said one word.
"Dark Lord."
The effect was imdiate.
Shivers ran through the crowd. Faces went pale. Even Lysandra’s anger was replaced by sothing else.
Fear.
Jax had studied about him in the academy. The Dark Lord. A being that could only be described as god-level. A demon who created chaos ten centuries ago.
His slaughter was legendary. His dominance absolute. Entire kingdoms fell before him like grass before a scythe.
But they say a beautiful woman brought him down. Seduced him and then Destroyed him from within.
The people’s horror was relieved by that mory. The Dark Lord was gone. Dead. History.
Little did they know.
Jax could revive him.
Not in reality.
But through his words.
