"What the hell are you teaching this child, Professor?"
Jax blinked innocently. "What? Don’t you see that’s so noble etiquette right there."
She stared at him in disbelief.
"I don’t think that looked like etiquette."
"It’s different." Jax waved his hand dismissively. "This involves teaching etiquette to other nobles. And that’s exactly what she did. Flawlessly, I might add."
Roxana sighed heavily. The horror still lingered in her eyes.
She turned to the little girl.
"Emily, what are you doing here? And why are you away from the Headmistress?"
Before Emily could open her mouth, Jax interrupted.
"Oh, by the way. What were you saying earlier? This little one, I an Emily, is Lysandra’s daughter?" His eyebrow raised suggestively. "Don’t tell soone actually dared to reach their dick to her—"
He stopped mid-sentence.
His gaze fell on Emily’s curious face staring up at him.

Roxana’s eyes had already shifted to sothing behind Jax. Her words ca out hesitant and broken.

Jax turned slowly.
Lysandra stood there. Emily between them. And Jax wore the greatest grin he had ever produced in his entire existence.
Lysandra’s smile was perfectly composed. Practiced. Fake as hell.
But the veins bulging on her forehead told a completely different story.
"I was wondering," she began, her voice dangerously sweet, "how my child was changing so much lately. Changing for the worse."
Jax gently placed Emily down on the ground.
"That’s rather rude of you, Headmistress. Calling your own daughter worse."
Lysandra ignored him completely.
"Those crude words. Those vulgar insults. Those creative threats involving male anatomy and bedroom inadequacies."
Her eye twitched.
"I knew I was missing sothing. I knew I had heard them before. And yet I was a fool not to understand."
She took a step closer.

Lysandra’s forehead vein throbbed visibly.
Roxana stood to the side, watching the two exchange smiles and death stares.

Her purple hair cascaded down her exposed shoulders. The dress highlighted her modest yet perfectly shaped curves. Her skin seed to glow under the chandeliers. Every noble in the vicinity had their eyes glued to her, so with admiration, others with poorly disguised lust.
The second stunner stood beside her.
Seris wore a red dress that contrasted beautifully with her complexion. The design was bold yet elegant, revealing just enough to ignite imagination while maintaining royal dignity. Her posture radiated confidence befitting Adelina’s daughter.
The entire hall was either staring at them with lustful gazes or admiring their beauty from afar.
But Jax?

His eyes carried sothing knowing.

Internally, Jax understood everything.
The letter was never ant for Seris at all.

Astrid’s eye twitched violently as they disappeared into the crowd.
