After South Grant asked, there was a mont of silence on Nathan Foster’s end before a deep, slightly hoarse voice ca through:
"Yes, she was indeed pregnant, but no one knows who the father is."
South Grant listened and noted that what Nathan Foster said was similar to what Old Butler Keller had ntioned.
"So who is her fiancé? And what accident occurred at the wedding?"
Just as South Grant asked, she heard a loud whirring sound from Nathan Foster’s side, and she knew it was the helicopter’s rotors.
Nathan Foster said sothing, but due to the loud noise of the helicopter, South Grant couldn’t hear anything.
"What? I didn’t hear you."
Then, the call was disconnected.
After the call ended, South Grant’s phone pinged, and when she opened it, she saw the last ssage sent by Nathan Foster:
"I’ll tell you when I get back."
When she called again, Nathan Foster’s phone was already turned off.
The helicopter must have taken off.
South Grant opened WeChat and saw the ssages Nathan Foster had sent earlier.
The first one: "I shouldn’t have called you a single dog."
South Grant read this, thinking to herself, at least Nathan Foster had so self-awareness. How could she be a single dog? Obviously, she’s a single noble.
She quickly continued reading, and saw that Nathan Foster’s second ssage was:
"If a dog lived to your age, it would have died already. By age, you should be a single turtle. By intelligence, you should be a single stupid deer."
South Grant: "..."
The third one: "Where are you? Why aren’t you speaking? Stunned by the coback?"
You’re the idiot; your whole family is full of idiots!
The fourth one: "I have a mission and need to travel far. It’ll be a long ti before I’m back. While I’m away, no one will be here to ss with you. Even if you want to be teased, you won’t find soone. I’ve left Ivan Keller behind; talk to him if you need anything."
South Grant saw this and couldn’t help but roll her eyes.
I’m not a masochist, enjoying being teased for no reason?
The fifth one: "I’m about to board the plane, don’t you have anything to say to ?"
Nathan Foster sent five consecutive ssages, but South Grant didn’t respond to any of them.
At that ti, she happened to be talking with Fiona Grant and Harold Foster, and shortly after, Nathan Foster called her.
South Grant looked at the ssages from Nathan Foster with the single dog and single turtle remarks and was almost livid.
If she had known he was teasing her like that in WeChat, she would have cursed him when she picked up the call.
Even though she knew his phone was off now, South Grant still composed a text ssage on her phone and sent it over:
"Two orioles singing in the green willows, you’re also a single dog."
"Since ancient tis, the moon has waxed and waned, you’re also a single turtle."
"An inch of longing, an inch of ash, you’re a single tortoise."
"A few letters from the returning geese in Hengyang, say you’re a single pig."
As South Grant wrote this, she laughed out loud and after finishing three sentences, she sent them to Nathan Foster.
She could almost imagine what kind of expression Nathan Foster would have upon seeing these three sentences.
He really thought he was unbeatable. He was just trying to deal with Fiona Grant earlier; otherwise, how could he get away with being so arrogant?
Hmph! ╭(╯^╰)╮
Originally, she thought she could relax a bit after Nathan Foster left, but unexpectedly, every day after school, there were always new emails sent to South Grant’s inbox.
The assignnts to be done that night, and the content to be reviewed, were all listed.
You could say it was more comprehensive than the knowledge points explained by those top tutors.
Now that the movie’s actors have been selected and the funds are in place, South Grant is fully focused on preparing for the college entrance exams.
