Felicity Grant’s horoom teacher noticed South Grant at this mont. She rembered this student as Fiona Grant’s brother, who had rushed into the fire to save people when the fire broke out.
"Classmate Grant, is there sothing you need? Your horoom teacher isn’t here at the mont."
Among all the students present then, only South Grant and Chester Lynch rushed in, leaving a deep impression on the teacher.
"Mr. Ford, I’m here for you. Fiona Grant is sick at ho, and I’m here to ask for leave on her behalf."
"How is she?" Mr. Ford knew that Fiona Grant was injured in that fire.
"It’s no major issue; she should be back at school in a few days."
"As long as it doesn’t affect the exams. Alright, class is about to start; you should head back to your class." Mr. Ford told South Grant.
As South Grant turned to leave, he glanced at Felicity Grant.
At that mont, Felicity Grant’s gaze was evasive, not daring to et South Grant’s eyes.
South Grant left with doubts in his heart, turned back, and could still see Mr. Ford earnestly speaking with Felicity Grant.
South Grant had only one question in mind: What exactly is going on between Felicity Grant and Marcus Shaw?
The whole day, Felicity Grant was in a daze, feeling anxious thinking about what Mr. Ford said earlier.
Would Mr. Ford see her eting with Marcus Shaw and find out sothing?
Finally, after school, Fiona Grant arranged to et Marcus Shaw.
It was still the sa small grove.
Only this ti, Fiona Grant didn’t know that South Grant was following right behind her.
The small grove was unlike other places; it lacked concealnt. South Grant, fearing to alert them, followed at a distance.
Later, South Grant found a patch of grass and hid there.
At this mont, South Grant saw Marcus Shaw arriving.
It turned out that Marcus Shaw indeed had a connection with Felicity Grant!
After they t, their voices reached in bits and pieces. South Grant tried to listen closely but couldn’t make it out clearly due to the distance.
However, if he got too close, he’d be discovered by them.
So, for now, he could only stay there.
South Grant vaguely heard them ntion the principal and then brought up Mr. Ford.
South Grant felt a bit confused, unable to hear the rest clearly.
South Grant felt a bit disappointed as he lay there, getting bitten by mosquitoes in the grove. If he couldn’t find out any information, it’d really be unjustified.
Just then, South Grant clearly heard the next sentence from Marcus Shaw.
"Tomorrow, I’ll make sure she keeps her mouth shut obediently."
South Grant watched them, unsure about the agreent they reached, then saw Marcus Shaw leave.
Shortly after, Felicity Grant also left.
South Grant pondered their earlier conversation, frowning in thought.
Who did Marcus Shaw an by making sure she/he keeps quiet tomorrow?
They had just ntioned the principal and also brought up the horoom teacher of Class 1.
Thinking back to the horoom teacher Mr. Ford’s conversation with Felicity Grant earlier, the first person that ca to South Grant’s mind was Mr. Ford.
Tomorrow, what do they plan to do?
South Grant returned, wearing thin clothes for the sumr, and was covered in mosquito bites.
South Grant couldn’t stand the itch and scratched the bites until they turned red. Afterward, when the swelling subsided, red marks were left where she had scratched.
The other places were under her clothes and not noticeable, but there was a patch on her neck that was exceptionally visible.
The red mark, about the size of a fingernail, seed to have an indescribable aning no matter how you looked at it.
