He paused for a mont, then thoughtfully added, “Don’t involve Baron, and don’t let him know about this!”
Why would Old Lord seek a doctor for Miss without letting the Young Master know? Housekeeper was puzzled, “Yes.”
Old Master Lawrence cast a stern glance at him and continued, “Considering that you’ve followed for decades without making a mistake, I’ll let this go. Don’t disappoint again. If there’s a next ti, you know the consequences!”
The last sentence was an explicit warning!
Housekeeper had been prepared to accept his punishnt, knowing well that Old Lord was strictly impartial and abided by the rules without exceptions.
Even young masters were not spared Old Lord’s discipline when they erred.
To his surprise, this ti he was let off easily.
He was taken aback by the graciousness and dared not harbour any other thoughts, he imdiately said, “Yes, Old Lord, rest assured, there won’t be a next ti.”
This ti, his motive had been to create an opportunity for Ms. Clark to spend ti with Old Lord. Now it seed, although Old Lord did not have a pleasant interaction with Ms. Clark, the outco was much better than he had anticipated.
Old Master Lawrence was already of an advanced age and, having talked so much earlier, he was understandably exhausted. He massaged his temples and closed his eyes wearily, saying, “Alright, I need to rest for a while. You may leave now.”
“Old Lord, you haven’t taken your dicine yet,” the Housekeeper quickly handed over the dication and water.
He took the cold dicine and the cup of water, tilted his head back, drank a big gulp, and swallowed the pills.
Housekeeper, without being told, took the water glass from his hand and placed it to the side. Then, he carefully removed the elevated pillow to allow him to lie flat more comfortably.
After finishing these tasks, he stepped back respectfully and softly said, “Old Lord, please rest, I will leave now.”
Old Master Lawrence grunted in acknowledgnt.

The next day.
Enna Clark rembered her agreent with the Old Master about Tomato and Egg Noodles and got up early in the morning.
After bustling about the kitchen, she produced a delicious looking serving of Tomato and Egg Noodles. Not minding her own empty stomach, she hurriedly brought the noodles to him.
Old Master Lawrence was a strict and orderly man, not just with others but with himself as well.
Just yesterday he couldn’t get out of bed due to a cold, but this morning, he was up on ti as usual.
After dealing with various matters in the morning and just having washed his hands, he had picked up the newspaper to read a piece of news when Enna Clark was already coming in with the Tomato and Egg Noodles.
“Grandpa, good morning.”
Old Master Lawrence had not expected Enna to co over so early, let alone to actually bring the Tomato and Egg Noodles he had ntioned offhand the day before. He put down his reading glasses and stood up.
As he stood up, Enna noticed that Old Master Lawrence was quite tall, easily six feet, despite his advanced years. But his deanor was impeccable, whether walking or sitting, with an upright back, projecting a sense of power and authority.
With such height and presence, he must have been a handso guy in his youth.
After all, Old Master Lawrence was in his seventies now, but he still possessed a charm that was the culmination of years, and even at his age, could be considered a handso old man.
