Chapter 1049: Chapter 1049: Don’t Like Owning Others Chapter 1049: Chapter 1049: Don’t Like Owning Others “Is this the Tomato and Egg Noodles?”

While Enna Clark was in a daze, Old Master Lawrence had already pulled out a chair from the dining table and sat down, his sharp gaze falling onto the bowl of Tomato and Egg Noodles she had placed there, frowning as he seed to ponder sothing.

“Yes, I specifically boiled the noodles a little longer, they are very soft, should not affect digestion.” Enna Clark tily offered him the chopsticks.

Old Master Lawrence took the chopsticks she handed over, but really couldn’t see what was so special about this unappealing, unarranged bowl of noodles that warranted his grandson’s incessant plugging from yesterday.

In his lifeti, he had tasted every kind of exquisite dish, and the Lawrence Family even employed over a dozen seven-star chefs; his usual als were all finely crafted by star chefs, first-rate both in color and presentation.

At first glance, these ‘honest’ noodles were a bit hard for him to co to grips with.

But since he had already promised Baby Clark to try it, despite his disdain, he still attempted to pick up a few strands of noodles and feed them to his mouth.

His dining etiquette and Baron Lawrence’s were identical, both featured that sort of aristocratic elegance, giving off a high-end impression to anyone watching.

Enna’s heart was in her throat as she watched him eat a mouthful unhurriedly, wanting very much to ask how they tasted.

But she held back, following dining table etiquette and remained silent.

After Old Master Lawrence took a bite, his eyebrows knitted together as if recalling sothing, his expression montarily filled with nostalgia.

However, his absent-minded state was just that—a mont; after a split second, he returned to his usual dignified and aloof deanor.

It was as if that montary lapse was just Enna Clark’s illusion.

His appetite seed good that morning, at least much better than the day before, and his chopsticks kept moving, quickly reducing the noodles in the bowl by more than half.

He set down his chopsticks, wiped the corner of his mouth, and said, “So-so.”

Enna Clark looked at the almost empty bowl, helpless.

Old Master Lawrence was really too insincere.

‘So-so’ yet he ate so much? Was he trying to save her face? How could it be! Just yesterday, he had rcilessly knocked over the cup she offered ti and ti again.

He clearly thought the taste was not bad, hence why he ate so much—what was there to deny?

She wouldn’t assu he accepted her just because he liked a bowl of noodles.

Enna Clark might have felt helpless, but she wasn’t presumptuous enough to call out Old Master Lawrence. She began clearing the table silently, without uttering a single superfluous word.

Old Master Lawrence had thought she would take this opportunity to try to get closer and ingratiate herself with him, but she quietly began clearing things up, not saying any extra words.

If Enna Clark had taken the opportunity to start a conversation, suggesting that she would continue making it for him tomorrow, he might have been put off. Enna Clark didn’t show any ulterior motive, which led him to give her a closer look.

He suddenly asked, “Have you had breakfast?”

His question was extrely abrupt.

Enna Clark hadn’t expected Old Master Lawrence to take the initiative to ask her this; she thought he couldn’t wait for her to leave. She paused for a mont before naturally responding, “Not yet, I was going to eat later.”

No sooner had her words fallen, Old Master Lawrence had already pushed back his chair and stood up, “Just stay here and eat. I’ll have soone bring it up for you.”

“No…”

Her reply was not yet complete.

Old Master Lawrence’s authoritative and aloof gaze had already fixed upon her as he directly said, “I’m not being polite with you; I just don’t like owing anyone!”
