Chapter 1534: Chapter 1534: Baron Lawrence, Is There a Problem with the Company?
“Buzz, buzz—” Enna Clark’s phone outside vibrated twice.
She took out her phone and saw a ssage from Bobby at ho. It was a simple sentence: “Is the company of the Dubious Man next door in trouble? Tell him to be careful.”
Enna was montarily stunned by the ssage and subconsciously furrowed her brows.
Why would Bobby suddenly ask this question?
Was Baron Lawrence’s company in trouble? How co she didn’t know?
While Enna was wondering and preparing to reply to Bobby’s ssage, asking where he got this information and what had happened,
she had just begun to type when the man who had gone to the lawn had returned. In a deep voice, he asked, “Who are you ssaging?”
Enna casually dropped her phone into her bag and answered naturally, “I was just asking Olivia if she’s returned to the resort yet. Why did you co back so quickly?”
She had rely diverged the conversation so he wouldn’t pay too much attention to the ssages on her phone. However, Baron Lawrence suddenly narrowed his hawk-like eyes, his handso face shadowing slightly.
What did she an by that? Couldn’t he co back quicker? Why did he feel like this woman would rather have him co back later?
He grabbed Enna’s wrist authoritatively and said, “Let’s go, we’re heading back.”
Enna stood up as he pulled her, asking sowhat surprised, “We’re going back already? The auction is about to start, aren’t you participating?” What was he really here for?
Impatience written all over his handso face, Baron Lawrence said assertively, “I’ve already arranged for soone to stay and bid on that pink diamond for . They will send the bids in real ti, there’s no need for to stay here and wait.”
Enna, “…”
Baron Lawrence, grasping her hand and with a tense, aristocratically proud face, pulled her towards the exit.
Most importantly, he had already done what he ca to do.
In a place crowded and boring like this, he didn’t want to stay a minute longer! Staying would only make him more irritable! He had no patience to exchange pleasantries with so inexplicable people! It was best to take this woman and leave while not many people had recognized him yet!
He was tall and had long legs, and since he was holding her hand, Enna had to quicken her pace to keep up with him.

Outside the clubhouse.
Baron Lawrence breathed in the fresh air outside, his complexion looking much better, and the irritation in his brows and eyes seed to be less obvious.
“Let’s go, get in the car.”
The driver had been waiting outside. As soon as they ca out, the driver imdiately helped open the car door, greeting respectfully, “Lord Lawrence, Ms. Clark.”
Enna got into the car first, and Baron Lawrence followed after she was seated.
Once in the car, he put on his Bluetooth headset, turned on the switch with a stretch of his hand, turned to Enna, and said, “This should be fine.”
Enna knew he was referring to the auction. Looking at his distinctly contoured profile, and thinking of the ssage she received from Bobby earlier, she couldn’t help but ask, “Baron Lawrence, has the Lawrence Family been experiencing so difficulties lately?”
Baron Lawrence first frowned, and then retorted, “Who told you that?”
“No one, I just thought of the Old Master’s sudden hospitalization and that it might affect the company, so I was wondering,” Enna replied.
The grip Baron Lawrence had on her hand tightened, and his lips pursed as he said, “There’s nothing wrong with the company, you’re overthinking.”
He paused, not giving Enna a chance to speak, and continued with his domineering confidence, “Even if there was a problem, I’m here!”
If soone else had said this, it would surely have been scoffed at.
But when Baron Lawrence said it, it just felt naturally convincing.
