Enna Clark had no idea what was going through Edward Jackson’s mind. She glanced anxiously at the watch on her wrist; the minute hand already pointed to 8:50. She furrowed her brows, her bright eyes flashing with a hint of impatience.
What is Baron Lawrence doing? Why isn’t he here yet?
She couldn’t wait any longer and took out her phone to send a text ssage.

At that mont, the conference room door opened.
Skye Lawrence and Baron Lawrence entered the room together.
All eyes imdiately turned toward the entrance—
A hum of discussion rose and fell in waves.
“They’re here.”
“And they arrived together.”
“They probably ran into each other at the door.”
“I wonder who will win today? If there’s a shift in power, the Lawrence Corporation will certainly change hands.”
“Old Master Lawrence is still in the hospital. If there’s a ti for change, it has to be now, or it won’t happen once he wakes up.”

The various whispers filtered into Enna’s ears.
Edward Jackson and Brooks exchanged a knowing smile. Edward arched an eyebrow and said, “We can only wait and see.”
“Yes, wait and see.” He was also curious to see who would win this showdown, the legendary business prodigy or the number one formidable woman in the business world.
In the preliminary analysis, the latter seed to have the upper hand.
However, geniuses often take unconventional paths, so until the end, nothing is certain.
From the mont the sharply dressed man walked in through the door, Enna couldn’t take her eyes off him. She watched him, surrounded by secretaries, walk into the conference room and sit in the front row along with Skye Lawrence. She pressed her lips together, her bright eyes filled with worry.
She had just overheard a lot of whispering conversations and concluded that most people were skeptical about his chances of winning this ti.
This wasn’t outside; this was the conference room. Everyone present was a shareholder of the Lawrence Corporation. The overwhelming doubt cast upon Baron Lawrence among these shareholders was certainly not a good sign.

Enna clenched her fists, trying to calm herself, but in truth, she was more nervous than anyone.
When facing Skye Lawrence, she could calmly ask whether Skye had a psychological problem and tell her that she would never leave Baron because of the shareholders’ eting.
But if Baron truly lost control of the Lawrence Corporation because of this, she would still feel guilty.
She wanted Baron to win!
Otherwise, just as Skye said, she couldn’t imagine how he would handle the blow.
The public relations departnt head responsible for this shareholders’ eting took the stage and gave a lengthy speech, mainly introducing the developnt history and operational trajectory of the Lawrence Corporation.
After he finished, he paused and turned to Skye Lawrence, saying, “Next, please, Ms. Lawrence, say a few words.”
Skye Lawrence stood up, composed and elegant under everyone’s gaze, and said nobly, “Any company that wants to pass down its legacy will go through phases of developnt and transformation. Every transformation makes the company stronger, and the sa goes for the Lawrence Corporation. The ti for the Lawrence Corporation’s transformation has co. A round of applause followed.
After she finished speaking, she handed the microphone to Baron Lawrence, her beautiful eyes steady, “Baron, it’s your turn.”
She held it out for a long ti, but Baron Lawrence did not take it.
Skye’s arm stiffened as she held the microphone, and the atmosphere beca awkward.
Skye furrowed her brows and called out again, “Baron…”
Ever since he started seeing Enna Clark, could he no longer distinguish the occasion? Even if he was dissatisfied with her, was this the right ti to throw a tantrum?
