Chapter 1847: Chapter 1837: The Conflicted Bobby
“Agreed.” Enna Clark glanced at him nervously and hesitantly asked, “Bobby, if we’re getting married, what do you think about it?”
Bobby first blinked his eyes, then flopped onto the bed, lazily looked at Enna Clark, and with an expression like he’s looking at an idiot, said arrogantly, “Isn’t it totally normal for my dad and my mummy to get married? What am I supposed to think? Just think like that.”
He spoke so lightly, without any of the resistance he had shown toward Lyle Westbrook a couple of days ago.
That look of his, as natural as could be.
Bobby rolled over, then rolled back next to her, propped up his chin, and asked, “Where’s the wedding going to be held? Are you planning to have a traditional wedding or a Western one? What about the wedding dress? When are you getting married? Now’s the perfect ti to get married, just in ti for Little Slug to be your flower girl. Enna Clark, don’t delay too much, the longer the night, the more dreams there are.”
“…” Enna Clark was both amused and exasperated by his barrage of questions, reached out to pinch his pretending-to-be-mature little face, mocking him, “Do you even know what ‘the longer the night, the more dreams there are’ ans? Still going on about dreams.”
Bobby, being mocked, dodged her hand very discontentedly, jumped up, put his hands on his hips, and said, “Of course I know. Even if I lack knowledge, I have common sense, and if I don’t have common sense, at least I watch a lot of TV series! Look at those TV series, lots of couples agree to get married, all the relatives are inford, and then right before the wedding, either the guy runs off or the girl does.”
“I know you, you wouldn’t run. But you can’t stop the Dubious Man next door from ssing things up. What if sothing happens, and Dubious Man next door runs away, leaving you all alone at the wedding, wouldn’t that be awkward?”
Enna Clark really didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, said frustratedly, “Bobby, can’t you think of sothing positive? Why do you have to jinx ?”
“I’m not jinxing you; I’m reminding you. Just to be safe, hurry up and get married. Don’t dilly-dally, it’s best to hold the wedding within a month!” He spoke logically.
Enna Clark truly didn’t understand where a kid his age got so many worries from; clearly, he’s just a little kid, yet he’s so worried. She said helplessly, “If there’s no accident, we might hold the wedding within half a month.”
The Old Master said half a month.
Considering the Old Master’s efficiency, there shouldn’t be any big changes.
“Half a month?” Bobby was montarily stunned, then imdiately frowned, his brows furrowing more and more tightly, and he murmured softly, “Half a month is too soon, right? So soon, I’m not even ready yet.”
A mont ago, he was pushing her to set a wedding date quickly, acting as if any delay and Baron Lawrence would run away.
In the blink of an eye, now he’s complaining the ti is too soon, he’s not ready.
Enna Clark looked at his conflicted little face and couldn’t help but smile. She proactively changed the topic to divert his attention, saying, “Today I had Hayes buy a detective novel, do you want to listen to it? I’ll read it for you.”
“Detective novel? What detective novel?” Even the genius Bobby is just a kid, unable to resist his interests, easily having his attention diverted by her.
Enna Clark took out a newly bought book from the bedside, waved it in front of him, and said, “It’s this one. Your favorite Sherlock Hols. So, do you want to listen?”
“I prefer to read it myself. But if you’re reading, I’ll reluctantly listen.”
Really a case of saying one thing and aning another.
Enna Clark opened the book and began to read to him…
