The nurse poured her a cup of honey water and handed it over.
Skye Lawrence had just taken it and sipped a little.
She heard the nurse shout in a sickly sweet voice, "Mr. Hayes, you’re back."
Skye Lawrence suddenly felt nauseous and didn’t want to drink the water anymore.
She placed the cup on the bedside table, unfazed by the nurse’s sweet smile, "Get out."
The nurse glanced back at her resentfully but didn’t dare defy her order. Despite her reluctance, she left, glancing back with every few steps...
The blond, blue-eyed man rarely saw her dislike so obviously on her face. With sly, enigmatic eyes, he looked at her and said with a half-smile, "Don’t tell you’re jealous?"
Skye Lawrence squinted at him in displeasure, as if disdainful of answering such a shallow question. She extended her hand towards him, "My phone, give it back to ."
Oscar raised an eyebrow.
Skye Lawrence didn’t withdraw her hand, speaking coldly, "Don’t tell you’re not the one who took my phone while I was asleep."
Her sleep had always been very light.
If a stranger approached her, she would easily wake up.
Only this man could easily take the phone from her while she slept.
"You’re right, I took it." Oscar pulled a phone out of his suit and handed it back to her.
Skye Lawrence took the phone and tried to turn it on, but no matter how she pressed, the screen remained dark. She raised her head, holding the unresponsive phone, her red lips moved, "Don’t you owe a reasonable explanation for this?"
The man sitting at her bedside calmly picked up an orange from the fruit basket and peeled it for her, "There’s nothing much to explain. People from the company called, my phone was out of battery, so I borrowed yours for a bit."
"So now it’s powered off because it’s out of battery?"
Oscar leisurely placed the peeled orange onto a plate and elegantly handed it over, his deep and unreadable eyes half-smiling, "No, it’s broken."
He spoke as if taking soone else’s phone while they slept, returning it broken after being discovered, was a perfectly normal occurrence.
"Broken?" Skye Lawrence smiled sarcastically, "Don’t tell you were so busy with work, used my phone to make a call and got too excited, breaking it."
"You can think of it that way." He didn’t deny it, as if it were the truth, "While I was taking the call, I accidentally dropped it into the sink. By the ti the hospital staff fished it out, it was broken."
Skye Lawrence didn’t consider herself impatient, but at this mont, she felt her intelligence insulted. She tugged at her lips with a forced smile, "Do you think I’m three years old? That I would believe your excuse?"
"Believe it or not, it’s up to you." Oscar raised his chin, suggesting to her, "Have so orange, the doctor said you should replenish vitamin C."
Skye Lawrence reached her limit of endurance and suddenly raised her hand, knocking over the plate in his hand.
The fruit plate fell to the ground instantly, shattering.
It made a loud sound.
The room fell into complete silence.
Skye Lawrence’s beautiful face held a rare fierceness for a woman, her features were tense, her eyes fixed on the man at the bedside, "What did you do with my phone? Does it have anything to do with Baron?"
