The sinister man maintained his posture of handing her the fruit plate, his eyes chilling upon hearing her words.
Skye Lawrence didn’t want to beat around the bush with him and got straight to the point. "The day before yesterday, Baron called , saying Enna Clark had an accident and asked if I did it. I denied it because I really didn’t know about this."
"So, you think I did it?" Oscar slowly withdrew his hand from midair, his face expressionless.
"I don’t think; I suspect! Initially, I didn’t aim it at you, but then my phone suddenly went missing. If you were , would you believe your excuse just now?"
"I believe it." Oscar suddenly stood up from the chair, towering over her beside the bed, suddenly reaching out and grabbing her chin, leaning in close, "Whatever you say, I believe it! Even if you shot and told it was accidental, I’d believe it. Do you believe it?"
Skye Lawrence was montarily dazed, her brows slowly furrowing, her red lips parting slightly, "I don’t believe it."
Oscar abruptly released her chin, a bloodthirsty smirk playing on his lips. He was a complete contrast to the gentlemanly deanor he presented to the world.
"See, you don’t believe anything I say, so why are you asking?"
"I want to know if Enna Clark’s accident is related to you!" Skye Lawrence wasn’t distracted from the key point by him.
She didn’t know Oscar’s reasons for doing this.
But this man’s actions were very suspicious!
"Why did you target Enna Clark?"
"None of your concern."
This was practically an admission.
Skye Lawrence pursed her red lips, grabbing his arm, "Was it really you? Why?"
Oscar glanced at her hand gripping him, pausing for a mont, but quickly, he withdrew his gaze. He pulled Skye Lawrence’s hand off with indifference, a mocking tone in his voice, smiling as he said, "Mrs. Oscar, what are you doing now? Your reaction makes think you’re championing Habsden’s heiress. Isn’t her accident the thing that should make you happiest? In this ward, there’s only the two of us. Who are you putting on this act for?"
Skye Lawrence bit her lower lip in humiliation, grabbing his arm again, her deanor cool and composed, "Don’t misunderstand, I just don’t want to be blad for sothing unjustly. I don’t like her, but I’ll admit what I do. If I didn’t do it, don’t try to pin it on !"
"Is that so?" This ti Oscar didn’t pull her hand off; instead, he pinched her chin again. His wicked eyes were cold, like the icy peaks of the Himalayas, seeing deep into her heart, "I thought you were worried I might harm your ’little brother,’ so you’re reacting so strongly."
The man’s hot breath sprayed onto her face, carrying the air of an invader.
Skye Lawrence instinctively flinched away.
Oscar saw her avoidance, a flash of somberness in his eyes. He stepped back, releasing her chin, "I advise you not to concern yourself with why I did it. I have my reasons. Just rember, don’t interfere in Enna Clark’s matters. Her matters are dangerous, a danger you can’t handle!"
"What do you an?"
What did he an by Enna Clark’s matters being dangerous, a danger she couldn’t handle?
Oscar left his words hanging, refusing to elaborate, "It doesn’t an anything. You should stay in the hospital and recuperate well during this ti. Since your phone is broken, watch TV more. After a while, I’ll have soone get you a new one. During this ti, just don’t use a phone. The doctor also advises you to avoid radiation!"
