Capítulo 2354: Chapter 2363: Did You Touch My Phone?
Baron Lawrence didn’t know what she was thinking, nor did he care what Miranda Lewis was thinking. To him, as long as Miranda obediently helped Enna Clark take on the danger, it was enough.
Her thoughts were not within his consideration!
He ran his finger over the mouse, concentrated on watching for a while, and suddenly lifted his head to command, “Get all the surveillance videos from the nearby stores, just the route from the hotel to the pharmacy, I want them now!”
“Yes, Young Master Lawrence.”
The manager didn’t dare to ask him what he wanted them for and imdiately went out with the security personnel to handle it.
The people in the living room rushed out, and the room quickly emptied. Baron Lawrence leaned tiredly on the sofa, closed his eyes, and rubbed his nose with his fingers, relaxing for less than a minute. Suddenly, as if he rembered sothing, he opened his eyes and asked, “Did you touch my phone?”
Miranda Lewis, still imrsed in his handso visage, reacted a mont after hearing this and rembered, “I left your phone on the table, I’ll get it.”
She ran to retrieve the phone and handed it to Baron Lawrence, “President Lawrence.”
Baron Lawrence’s brows furrowed sharply as he accepted the phone. As soon as he opened it, he saw seven or eight missed calls from Scott Harris.
His expression darkened further, his eagle eyes sharply focused on the woman in front of him, his voice carrying the chill of Siberia, “You turned off the sound on my phone?”
He used a question, but spoke with a tone of certainty.
Miranda Lewis wasn’t foolish; she could see he was angry and hurriedly explained, stuttering, “No, at that ti you were busy. The phone rang, but you didn’t hear it. I wanted to tell you, but seeing how busy you were, so I just… just…”
“Just took it upon yourself to turn my phone to silent mode.” Baron Lawrence finished the words she left unsaid!
“Who gave you the nerve to dare touch my belongings without my permission?!”
Miranda Lewis bit her lower lip, her eyes darting around. She had seen Baron Lawrence’s phone ringing and originally planned to hand it to him, but holding the phone, she rembered this call might be asking him to return. She hesitated a bit before daring to switch it to silent mode.
She had finally managed to get him over to her; she hadn’t achieved her purpose yet, how could she let Baron Lawrence leave?
Though thinking this, she didn’t dare reveal it aloud, and as Baron Lawrence scolded her, she lowered her head, quietly defending, “I… I really saw you were too busy, so I… I won’t do it next ti. I’m sorry, President Lawrence.”
She had looked in the mirror countless tis; this angle made her look the most like Enna Clark.
Especially when her eyelids drooped, she looked even more similar.
She thought the more she resembled Enna Clark, the more Baron Lawrence would treat her differently. What she didn’t know was, the more she mimicked Enna Clark, Baron Lawrence’s gaze beca more impatient, with suppressed anger and restraint.
Miranda Lewis cautiously approached, inching the coffee cup closer to him, “President Lawrence, have so coffee and take a break.”
Baron Lawrence glanced at the coffee in front of him, then impatiently glanced at her, standing up imdiately, leaving a cold warning, “In the future, without my permission, don’t touch my things!”
He said this and walked to the side to make a call.
Miranda Lewis watched helplessly as he had no intention of touching the coffee, her teeth gritting in frustration and anxiety!
