The bullet grazed her earlobe and shot into the wall beside her.
It also went through a vase.
The vase made a shattering sound.
With a bang, it fell to the ground, shattering into pieces! The glass fragnts bounced up and two shards flew onto Miranda’s hand, cutting a bloodstain on the back of her hand.
The sudden change happened too fast.
Miranda’s ears were numbed by the sound, and as her earlobe began to throb with pain, she snapped back to reality.
