"I’m going to pursue her. Do you have any objections? If so, speak up now. If you don’t say anything now, and I start pursuing her halfway through, only for you to suddenly want to compete with , then we can’t be friends."
Adam Sinclair really didn’t know how to describe his personality; he was quite straightforward.
The person waiting grew impatient, slapped him and urged, "Hurry up, stop overthinking. If you still like her, then pursue her. If not, then I like her, and I’m going to pursue her."
Adam Sinclair rubbed his forehead helplessly, "I already told you I have a girlfriend. If you want to chase who you like, go ahead, you don’t need to ask ."
As soon as he finished speaking, his shoulder was punched.
"You’re a true brother! I’ll rember this favor! I’ll repay it when I get the chance." The man smiled brightly, as if he had already won her over.
The atmosphere in the room was lively, everyone chatting, with the noise level quite high. So basically no one heard what they were talking about; they all thought he was just there to get Adam Sinclair to drink.
Just then, the center of the attention, Renee Anderson, suddenly looked over and asked, "What are you two whispering about over there? You’ve been at it for quite so ti."
Austin Harper gave Adam Sinclair a look signaling not to say anything, then raised his head with a hearty laugh, "Nothing much, I just haven’t seen this guy for a long ti, wanted to have a drink with him, but he won’t drink at all!"
"I’ll drink for him then." Nobody expected her to naturally extend her hand to shield Adam Sinclair from the drink.
Austin Harper’s face was originally bright with a cheerful mood. Seeing her act like this, he suddenly couldn’t smile anymore, discontentedly saying, "Sister Renee, why do you want to drink for him? Why don’t you drink for ?"
Renee Anderson shook her head, giving him a look she might give a child, saying helplessly, "His stomach isn’t good."
"My stomach isn’t good either!"
"Since when has your stomach been bad? How about going to the Hospital to take a gastroscopy and show ?" She laughed, skillfully diffusing the tension.
Austin Harper originally had opened his mouth wanting to ask her if his stomach was truly bad, would she shield him from drinking like she does for Adam Sinclair. But seeing her radiant beauty, he couldn’t help but feel a wave of irritation rise in his chest and suddenly felt the question was pointless.
Muffled, he said, "I’ll show you another day. Today, I’ll drink this cup for you, don’t drink anymore."
With that, he lifted his head and downed the drink in his hand. After drinking boldly, he settled back into his seat and drank alone in silence.
As he drank, he occasionally lifted his head to gaze at the most brilliant Renee Anderson in the group with a complicated expression, then furrowed his brow looking over at Adam Sinclair.
No one paid much attention to this minor episode.
Because tonight was the Goddess’s welco party, and the main focus was definitely Renee.
Though everyone exercised restraint, trying not to play too wild. Yet with all the mingling, she still drank quite a bit, her fair cheeks unknowingly blushing enchantingly.
The others weren’t in much better condition either.
After all, they hadn’t seen each other for quite so ti, and everyone drank quite a bit. The only person present who didn’t drink was Adam Sinclair.
After eating and drinking, so started clamoring to go clubbing, others wanting to sing at the next place.
The girl sitting next to Renee Anderson scanned the chaotic crowd and her eyes accurately landed on the man lazily exuding aristocratic airs in the corner, "Adam Sinclair, you drove here, right? Sister Renee drank too much, you should take her ho."
