"I know exactly what I want, and no one suits me better than her." Adam Sinclair finished speaking, bypassed Benjamin Sinclair, and walked out, "Take your time inspecting, Chairman, I have matters to attend to, I’ll be off first."
"Adam!"
The man in the crisp white shirt strode away without looking back, leaving only a solitary and proud figure behind.
Benjamin Sinclair watched him walk away, fuming, and sat on the sofa, short of breath.
The secretary hurriedly handed him a glass of water, "Chairman, have some water."
"Hmm." Benjamin accepted the glass after venting his anger.
The argument between the President and the Chairman spread throughout the pany in no time, leaving everyone silent and tense, fearing they might get caught in the crossfire.

Adam didn’t care how long Benjamin stayed at the pany.
He grabbed his coat, glanced at the time on his phone, and thought about finally seeing Olivia Lewis soon. His previously gloomy mood had somewhat lifted, and he quickened his pace, taking out his car keys as he walked.
After today’s mess, he no longer had the mood to work. Coincidentally, he had prepared a surprise for her. After over a week of recuperation, her health had improved considerably, allowing her to get out of bed. He could take her out for a walk.
Thinking of this, Adam made a call, "Get ready, I’ll bring someone in two hours."
He spoke concisely and was about to hang up when suddenly a figure rushed towards him and knocked the phone out of his hand. The next moment, a punch landed on his face out of the blue.
Bang!
The sound of bone colliding with flesh resulted in a dull thud.
"Ugh." Adam grunted, stumbling two steps back, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. He squinted his eyes, looking at the man rushing towards him with burning anger, "Austin Harper."
Austin’s eyes were bloodshot, and hearing his name called only infuriated him more. He clenched his fists and shouted, "Don’t call my name! You don’t deserve it!"
Ever since he found the disheveled Renee Anderson at the apartment last time, he had followed Renee secretly each day, fearing she might do something foolish.
Today, he had followed her to Sinclair Corporation, thinking the two might sit down for a proper talk. But soon enough, he saw Renee running out, tears streaming down her face.
Frustrated, he waited in the parking lot for Adam to e out.
"Adam Sinclair, are you even a man? You did that to Renee, and you can’t even take responsibility!" Austin seized the refined man’s collar, unable to hide his anger and pain, "Do you know that after you left her there that day, she was still defending you, claiming that you were just drunk. Hah, being drunk excuses you from your actions? Can you honestly say you had no awareness at all? If you’re still a man, take responsibility for her! Otherwise, I won’t let you off!"
Adam yanked away his hand from his collar, pushing him back to maintain a safe distance, "Is this what she told you? What else did she tell you?"
The more he understood Renee’s every move, the more he detested her schemes and selfishness.
Despite knowing Austin’s feelings for her, she unhesitatingly exploited them, behaving exactly as she had when she used him years ago!
That’s why he had been direct with her at the pany earlier, to make his stance clear. If he had softened his approach, Renee would definitely think she still had a chance and cling to him like glue!
