Diiiiing! Diiiiing!

The loud ringing of a massive bell spread across the entire capital of the Blue Dragon Kingdom early in the morning as the sun rose, tearing through the silence and shaking every corner of the city awake from its peaceful sleep. People stirred from their beds, doors swung open, and curious faces peeked outside to discover what had happened.

Diiiiing! Diiiiing! Diiiiing!

The bell continued for nine full tolls, each one striking directly into the hearts of the people before it suddenly stopped, leaving behind a silence heavier than the sound itself. Then the terrifying news spread like wildfire.

The great founding king, Ayato, was dead.

From house to house and street to street, the words echoed everywhere. The king had died. The king was gone. The entire city descended into chaos and turmoil as people flooded the streets in tears from the overwhelming shock.

During the following days, police patrols and royal guards were deployed heavily throughout every street and corner to ensure that the officially declared three-day national mourning period passed peacefully.

Flags were lowered everywhere to half-mast atop palaces, governnt buildings, and towers as a symbol of grief. It was also officially decided that King Ayato would be buried within the sacred royal cetery located deep inside the Great Sacred Dragon Forest, increasing the holiness and reverence surrounding the place even further.

Dan had long ago decided that the royal cetery of the House of Ayato would be established within the Dragon Forest in order to grant the area an aura of sanctity and provide a reasonable excuse to prevent outside curiosity, since no one would dare intrude upon the sacred resting place of the royal family.

Of course, in reality, elite forces personally trained by the Walt Family had already been heavily stationed throughout the vast borders of the forest to ensure that no intruder or curious fool would ever be allowed to enter.

On the third day of mourning, a magnificent and solemn procession departed from the royal palace carrying the grand funeral of King Ayato. It was surrounded by nurous military divisions . fully armored knights mounted upon black horses, infantry soldiers carrying lowered banners, organized rows of archers, and among them elite royal guards protecting the coffin resting atop a carriage decorated in black and gold.

As the enormous procession passed through the heart of the great capital along the main streets, an atmosphere of profound grief and sincere sorrow consud the gathered citizens standing on both sides of the road. Won cried openly, n wept in silence, and elderly people lowered their heads in mourning. To them, King Ayato was a true saint upon the earth, a great savior.

In an age drowned in endless conflict, bloody wars, and deadly famine, he had created the sacred Blue Dragon Kingdom from nothing. He had protected it from disaster, chaos, and ruin. He brought order where there had been disorder, forged peace from war, and provided food where hunger once ruled.

He granted wide lands to poor farrs who had once lived as little more than serfs. He established institutions of learning and knowledge such as schools for children and academies for the youth. He built vast roads connecting cities and villages, making trade easier and communication constant. He created fair courts that settled injustice and disputes among the people.

But the most astonishing thing of all was that the kingdom welcod refugees from every land without ever rejecting them no matter how nurous they were. Instead, they were received warmly, given real opportunities, and integrated into society. To the surrounding kingdoms and feudal lords constantly fighting one another in this dark age, such behavior was completely unbelievable.

Who would willingly feed starving masses and burden themselves for no gain? To them, such actions were obvious foolishness and a waste of resources. Yet the truly strange and miraculous thing was that the kingdom had never suffered because of it. Instead, it only grew richer, stronger, and more prosperous, while food beca abundant throughout the Blue Dragon Kingdom.

anwhile, neighboring kingdoms and territories continued to starve.

That was why the kingdom had beco a truly blessed land in this dark era, a paradise upon the earth itself. All of this caused King Ayato to appear in the eyes of his people not rely as a king, but as a saint walking among them . a father, a teacher, and a savior.

Their tears were genuine. Their protector had died.

And now they wondered who would protect them, guide them, and care for them from this mont onward.

Of course, no one knew that Ayato himself was rely a puppet controlled by the Walt Family from the shadows, and that every policy and decision had truly originated from them all along. And for Dan, that was perfectly fine. His goal had never been for his influence or his family's existence to beco known. As long as the results he desired were achieved precisely, it did not matter who received the credit or who was praised.

What mattered was that the plan continued forward.

And that the objective was fulfilled.
