Lord Of Puppets Chapter 21 – Lie

"What?! What the hell do you an this is not the dungeon master?" – asked confused and pissed off nobleman.

"LOOK! The dungeon master body SHOULD NOT disappear at all! But it doing it right now!" – said the first escort.

"That ans that the thing we just killed wasn’t dungeon master.... But sothing doesn’t make sense." – said the second escort.

"The guild had investigated this dungeon! They said that this is an low rank and newborn dungeon!"

"And that there was not even an SINGLE accident where an manifested monster had left the dungeon!"

"THIS IS THE STUFF THAT IS KNOWN!"

"But sothing is off!"

"If that creature wasn’t an guild master.....Then..."

"We need to run." – said the first escort.

"What?" – asked nobleman.

"I SAID WE NEED TO RUN NOW! WE ARE- "

The walls of the room started moving, alarming the group.

"RUN TO THE EXIT! NOW!" – shouted the first escort as he grabbed the nobleman hand and started running towards the exit.

The group tried to reach the exit, but suddenly the dirt moved and blocked the group exist, before monts later an giant limb ca down, almost crushing the second escort if he did not stepped back in ti.

"What the hell are those things?!" – said the second escort as he realized that the wall of the dirt wasn’t an "dirt".

What the man saw was an giant dirt golem with gorilla like body build, towering over everybody.... And there was not just one, but two of these giaganting golems completely blocking the path.... No. It wasn’t that either.

All of the walls in the room ca to live, revealing the that there was not just 2 dirt golems, but instead an whole room was an trap as an huge army of the dirt golems that were pretending to be the wall had revealed themselves, resulting in the group getting completely surrounded almost instantly.

"HEY! WHAT IS GOING ON!? YOU NEVER TOLD ABOUT THESE MONSTERS?!" – shouted panicking nobleman.

"SHUT UP! WE DIDN’T KNEW EITHER!" – shouted back the scared second escort.

"JUST GO FOR THE EXIT! BREAK THOUGH THE MONSTERS!" – shouted the first escort as he rushed at the dirt golems blocking path and swinged down his sword, securing an good hit that destroyed part of the dirt golem body.

His attacked worked way better than the man had realized. He realized that the golem even though it was big, it was just dirt and nothing else.

But the golem thick body wasn’t bothered by the lose of the chuck of the dirt as it swinged around its giant arm, landing an hit at the surprised soldier and then pushing him away.

"!?"

(Heavy?!) – though the soldier as he stabbed the ground with his sword, sowhat stopping himself, before then running away backwards as the second golem swinged down both of tis fist down, crushing the ground.

"CAREFUL! THESE GUYS CAN HIT HARD UNLIKE THE PUPPETS FROM BEFORE!" – shouted the first escort.

"NOBLE BOY! CAN YOU FIRE AN BIG SPELL?!"

"Eh?" – the nobleman looked around nervously and scared.

"LISTEN! FIRE THE FUCKING STRONGEST ATTACK YOU CAN USE RIGHT NOW AND AIM THERE!" – shouted the second escort before then he dragged away the nobleman as another dirt golem attack ca down crushing.

"FUCKING FIRE IT NOW! I WILL BUY YOU SOTI!" – shouted the second escort as he went and confronted the dirt golem.

The two escort tried to stall the dirt golems, but they were approaching fast from all directions.

The escorts attacks were working on the golems dirt bodies, but it didn’t stopped the golem advance, while also causing the exit path to get more and more blocked off by the golems.

However, the nobleman had finished his magic chant as the fire gathered around his staff.

"{[Fire- "

But right as he was about to fire his spell, the dirt golem crushed his body with its arms, smashing the nobleman against the ground and disturbing his spell.

"!?"

"HEY! WHY ARE YOU NOT- "– The first escort noticed that the nobleman got knocked down and was about to yell at the other escort, only to get hit by the golem as soon as he distracted.

"SHIT! HEY! HELP ! HELP!" – shouted the second escort as he was completely surrounded and attacked from all directions by the golems.

"!?"

The man noticed the golem fist coming from above, causing him to roll out of the way and dodge the attack just barely..... But the man rolled right underneath the feets of another golem and before he could get away, the golem smashed its fists against the man body, pinning him against the ground, before monts later other dirt golems joined in.

It was an trap.

The whole room was an trap.

As soon as the fake dungeon master was slain, an huge group of the dirt golems who were pretending to be the dungeon walls had ambushed the group, instantly cutting off their escape route and surrounding them.

The escort and the nobleman attacks were working on the dirt golems and it was destroying their bodies.... But there was just too many of the golems and each of their attacks, slow as they may be, they hit like an truck.... Resulting in the bloody pumling.

The first one to die was to nobleman who couldn’t fight back after he got surrounded and beaten to death by the golems.

Next was the second escort who was trying to protect the nobleman from the golems, only to get surrounded and blocked off by the monsters.

He swinged around his sword, unleashing his sword art nonstop, destroying the golems body and making them crumble.... But attacks from all directions was too much for the man as the damage was stacking up and more.... Before then man had fallen and then was beaten up.

The first escort sohow managed to escape the golems beat down, but he had already sustained a lot of injuries.... Making him realize that the situation was unwinnable for him and decided to try and break though the golems guarding the exit.

He rushed in, used all of his remaining power to strike down one of the dirt golems, damaging it enough and creating an opening for the man.

The man though before getting punched from the side by the dirt golem he wasn’t paying attention to, knocking the man down once again on the ground.... This ti he didn’t gotten lucky and sohow escaped the golem grasps again.... And before long, the golems bodies were covered in the man blood..... And so were the other golems as their entire bodies were covered in the other group mbers blood.

And wipe out.

An ambush had completely catched the group off guard and the sheer amount of monsters they had to deal with were also monster that could deal so serios damage with their punches.

After the party was completely wiped out, the golems just walked away and returned back to their spots, taking on positions and pretending to be walls once again.

.... Monts later, an three figures entered an room.

It was puppet.... But their appearances were... Sowhat mismatched...Disfigured here and there.... "Experinted" on could be said based on how they looked.

The three puppet each grabbed the weapons that each invader used, before then leaving the room and starting to walk though the dungeon. But not though the usually, path, but instead towards the core room.... That wasn’t there, where instead there was an path, filled with monsters.

The three puppets walked and walked though dungeon... Before then arriving at the massive room where there was an different puppet parts laying around.

However, as the dungeon master stood up.... Its body.... It wasn’t the sa.

Dungeon master body looked like.... It looked similar to the other three puppets.

It looked like its body was experinted on.

An weird abomination could be said.

Its legs and arms, both were.... Weird.

They each looked completely different from one another, as if multiple figures had their parts swapped with each other, creating this thing.

There were also so other smaller changes to so different parts of the dungeon master, giving it an appearance as if it was butchered or sothing.

The dungeon master tried walking towards the puppet trio, only to suddenly stop in place.

Research.

Curiosity.

For over 5 months, the dungeon master had been conducing different forms of experints as well as researches, trying to find an ways to make the dungeon stronger, while also continue its expansion in secret without anybody finding out about it.

And this entire process was happening nonstop. Each hour, day and week, for over span of 5 months.

With the countless monsters being born and producing miasma in the secret, the dungeon master continued his own research, with caused the dungeon master to create few different types of golems.... But it never stopped experinting.

Even now, it was experinting different form of golem crafting, by even attaching different types of limbs it had created to see how they would work.

With no disturbances at all, with no need to rest to eat or sleep, with no need to bother to do anything and only keep its research, the dungeon master was able to surprising improve a lot, even without anybody guidance.

It was an hard work and curiosity that pushed the dungeon master forward, causing it to learn and develop.

And this didn’t only included the golem craft, it also included the monster mind as it intelligent developed a bit, making the creature grow stronger in more than one way.

In this ti of peace, a lot of things had changed in the dungeon, without anybody even knowing about it.

But there was an problem.

The "PEACE" that allowed the dungeon master to develop and experint without having to worry about even an single thing..... It was finally broken.

The invaders that for over 5 months that had never attacked the "dungeon master room" had finally decided to break the tradition and attack the room... Killing the imposter dungeon master that the dungeon master place in order for the enemy to not know that the dungeon master had move away alongside the core.
