Lord Shadow Chapter 1885: Paths

There is silence between them both. Wargod then sighed and said.

"In the beginning I wanted to control you. To give you a path that I think would be better for you"

"It took so ti to see sothing that I failed to see before. Controlling things have never worked out well for . So...I decided to try another way. I did all of this knowing that our path would cross early. I did all of this to bring you here. But I could not bring you here without enough assurance"

"Assurance?"

"Assurance that sothing has truly changed. And sothing has truly changed It did no matter whether your speed of improvent is faster. It does not matter if so events did not happen. All it matters if so big events that should happen changed. And it changed. I got my assurance. Then I could sense that the Fate and Destiny is truly overturned" And at this Wargod laugh

"Then I know. The chessboard laying so perfectly with all the pieces, should be rearranged. And there I see my chance. Only then, only then I.....decided to use the temple as a bait for you and a plan for the other"

Azief nodded.

He knows that Wargod also has so plans for the Speedsters. Wargod did not even an to hide it from him and Wargod did not ask him to hide it either

When they talk yesterday, Wargod made it clear that he would be honest as possible to him. What he could say, he would say it truthfully.

As Wargod so eloquently word it before, Wargod had chosen to enter his lifeboat.

They are sailing the sea of chaos together and if he falls, Wargod falls. Ride or die.

"Why does it need to be overturned for you to et ?"

"Because only then could I told you all the things I know" he chuckles a bit and said

"there is so many beings and people around you that knows the whole story and all are manipulating you from the background. I also wanted to do that. But then..."

Azief finished his word

"Then you change your mind"

Wargod nodded

"before you are but a chess piece in the chess board. Now.....now you could beco one of the chess player. For you to be a chess player, you need to know the full whole story. Only then could you be qualified to beco one of the chess player"

Azief listen to this and nodded.

"Can I explore the grounds?" Azief suddenly said as he slowly get up from his seat

Wargod nodded. Azief leave the dining hall. Wargod look at the back of that mortal leaving the dining hall and sighed.

Argos enters back into the room and stand beside Wargod.

"What would be his access level, my lord?"

Wargod sighed

"All of them. He could go wherever he wanted in this broken star. I give him the permission." Argos nodded and then quickly slipped away to handle the matter. Wargod leans back on his chair and close his eyes

Then he shakes his head

"Hope is the only thing left. But she is hiding" Wargod could only sighed at this

Then he walk to the center window. He look outside, see the destruction that happens because of his stubbornness.

But his eyes is not really looking at the yard or the craters or the lingering destruction aura on his property

Instead, his eyes look at the Temple. Nothing escape his eyes in Interium. Nothing could hide from him

This broken star is very special. And no one could hide here no matter how strong they are.

Only a few beings in the Omniverse could hide himself from him in Interium and those beings that could hide in Interium does not need to hide making Interium a place no being could hide

Not even the Sorcerer. He looks and could see that there is also soone waiting outside the Temple and he sighed.

One wanted to bet on a different chess piece and the other wanted to resolve cause and effect.

He sighed. He gave these two chances to do this. They owe him now. And now there is cause and effect between him and those two.

He shakes his head and then look at the sky. He narrows his eyes like he sis trying to see sothing. He is not trying to look at Odin or that monkey. He is trying to seek sothing

But no matter how much he squints his eyes, he could not found it. And so, he could not help but take a deep sigh.

"Hope. Where are you hiding?"

From morning to evening, Azief travels all across Interium. It is a large star but not so large that it would take Azief hours to circle it.

While he could not easily teleport inside Interium because of the space and ti disturbance of this star, he could still use his speed and his flying advantage to see many things about Interium

So of them impressed him and so of them made him terrified. It also expands his knowledge.

He even see the Colosseum of Interium.

The na is of course not Colosseum.

So called it Battle Ring.

So called it the Arena.

Whatever the na is, this is where Wargod let his warriors fight each other.

So rings are to recruit soldiers. So are for beings that wanted their wishes to be fulfilled. So rings are to test the beings inside it.

There is many reason why all kinds of beings would want to fight and there is all kinds of rings for all kinds of fight.

This made this entire Interium filled with bloodlust. He could feel it even if he could not see it

He also goes to many forbidden places all over Interium that is off limits from other inhabits of this planets.

Every ti he arrives at an area that needs permission to enter, Argos would sign him in and he could see many facilities that is hidden from the public view.

There is all kinds of research being conducted by Wargod in this broken star.

Azief knows that Wargod gives him all the access he could ask for.

The karma and cause and effect between him and Wargod is already tight. He basically went all in on him now that he had done all of this.

Azief does not have to guess whether Wargod is really all in on him or choosing a different path

The reason he knows all of this simply because Wargod told him.

Of course, Azief himself is not such a trusting person.

But after all the things that Wargod told him he did for him, Azief knows that the ties between them is already ties that bind

He goes to forest, to rivers, lake, seas, below the ground and up in the sky.

He did all of this to confirm sothing. And when he finally confird it, he returns back to Interium Palace.

He then returns to his room and wait for the evening. What he wanted to confirm was the laws of this broken star.

It is not complete.

But there is many and various kinds of laws and rules.

But none of it is the laws and rules that Wargod seem to comprehend. All of it seems like a minor path. There is no heavenly will in this broken star because the heavenly will of this star is Wargod.

"Maybe that is how Wargod manage to keep his identity on the downlow and maybe that is also the reason why he is not targeted madly by the Will of the Omniverse. Because he did not leave his legacy."

Azief could only sigh at this but at least he had confird sothing about the laws of this world

Of course, that is not the only thing he got after travelling this whole star. He sees many new kind of magic, and many new kinds of weapons.

It would not help him but it would help Earth. Wargod clearly have so pioneering spirit and research many new kinds of magic.

To understand it would take hundreds of years but it could serve as a reference point for him

That is good enough for him.

Azief then ditate in his room, waiting for evening and when evening ca, Wargod summons him and both of them fly to the temple

Azief did not delay. He is already eager to quickly return to Earth and settle so things that should be settled.

Azief arrives at the Temple with Wargod.

There he sees Will and Samara.

They both have wounds on their body

Azief rush to Will.

"Will, what happen here?" Will look at Azief and chuckles.

There is blood on the corner of his mouth and there is countless small scratches on his left and right arms.

"It is nothing" Will chuckles a bit and then said "Just a test"

Samara co near Will and put her hand on his shoulder and the injuries quickly heal itself

"There is no need to worry" Azief wanted to ask more but then he rembered what Wargod told him before

This is Will story. This is his journey. If Will wanted his help and require his help, he would give it

But if this is a trial that he needs to overco, then to intercept such trial would be to hinder his own sworn brother

"You really don’t need my help?" Azief ask.

Will look at Azief and looking at Azief eyes, he could guess what he is thinking.

If he really said he needs help, Azief would help him.

"You are misunderstanding things. It is not what you think about. This injury did not co from a fight. Just a backlash for doing sothing that is out of my level"

Azief nodded

"Fine. I would not ask anymore. But.....but if it’s really sothing urgent, then tell " Will nodded
