Samara already healed herself when Azief and Will was talking.
Azief then look at Wargod and his eyes narrows
"He knows" Azief thought to himself
Wargod was not shocked at all seeing Samara and Will like this
Azief only now realize that when he saw Will and Samara have injuries all over their bodies, he was the only one that is shocked.
Wargod looks like he had already anticipated all of this.
He knew.
Samara look at Wargod and it is clear that in her gaze, there is complicated emotions.
"You get what you ca for?"
She did not answer. Instead, she looks at Azief. She looks at him, stares at him for a few second and then sighed
"Child of the End." Wargod listening to this smiles
"You got it"
"I got it"
There is silence between these two beings and then Wargod ask
"Want to bet?"
She shakes her head
No.
that is her answer.
Wargod frowns a little.
He would never think that the Witch could be this stupid. Or this timid. Not very much of a Witch
There is another silence.
And then he said in a tone of advice.
If you are not a player, you are the chess piece"
But Samara shakes her head. She smiles
"I chose a different chess piece" And Wargod understood and laughed
"Ah, I forgot. You have a chess piece, yourself"
"What do you think?" she ask.
Wargod look at Will and nodded
"Not bad. Not bad at all" And he laughed.
Now that Samara has regained sothing in the Temple, she is qualified to speak like this with Wargod.
Because now....now they are very much equal.
The energy around Samara is very different from the Samara that did not enter this temple
Wargod could feel that space-ti pulsation energy that is now radiating out of her. It is subtle and hard to trace but for a being like Wargod.....he could feel it all the sa
Samara knows it and Wargod knows it.
This ti, Samara could really run away from him
And this ti, his shield and traps would not work on her. With her current speed right now, even his shield could not withstand the impact of her kinetic energy and space and ti that would be dragged by her as she uses her speed source.
So now....now they could..... really talk.
There is a reason she is feared all across the Omniverse back then
Before, she is timid. Because before, she is weak. Now, there is sothing that changed about her.
She got it. And since she got it, she could now run away from him
She sighed and then look back behind her. She is looking at the temple.
"The Temple.....should it be destroyed?" Wargod ask
Will who was listening to the conversation between these two suddenly jerked. He looks at his teacher.
Will himself didn’t know the intention of his teacher.
Samara look at the temple and did not say anything
But then she slowly nodded her head
"take all you can take from the Temple and then you can destroy it. Or store it. Or throw it away" she pause for a second and then sighed
"It has served its purpose"
Wargod smiles. And then he laughed. And he nodded. Samara sigh and in that sigh she let go so of the stuff that has been holding her back.
Then she look at Azief again. Azief by now of course could see that when Samara looks at him, there is a feeling like she is looking at him like he is so kind of a pitiful being.
And he doesn’t like that. She shakes her head.
She looks back at Wargod and then ask
"Is there any place we could take shelter? I think my disciple would want to return with his sworn brother.....after whatever it is you’re doing here"
Will nodded.
"Go to my palace. My butler would show in. When we are done, we will return there"
Samara nodded as she co close to Will in a re second.
"Let’s go. It is ti for your sworn brother to write his story"
She sighed and then holds Will hands.
Before Will could say anything, both of them turns into a streak of light and disappeared from the forest almost in an instant.
Azief look at the streak but Wargod look at the flattened forest on the side of the temple.
"The Sorcerer must have made a deal with the Witch. As for that book boy....he paid his debt and now has a new chess piece." He thought all of this and smile
Wargod did not play this kind of chess for a long ti. But once he plays it.....he would surely not be diocre.
Yewa Hafar is good.
But that is only because there is soone helping him from behind.
Between Yewa Hafar, Loki of Midgard and the Oracle of the Milky Way, the only two real players of this chess ga that is worth noticing , is the Trickster and the Oracle.
Wargod however did not think much of this matter of who is the player and who is the chess pieces.
Sotis, when you jump out from the chessboard, you could always end up back in the chessboard.
Those who play this ga should recognize this. If not, they would be trapped by the chessboard.
That is how it was when the Etherna rebel against the One.
They play the chess ga, they thought they were the players, they put all the right chess pieces.
And how did the One play the ga?
He did not put chess pieces; he did not beco a player just because the Etherna wanted to play with him.
He simply crack the chessboard and tens of thousands of strategies, plots and sche all turns to dust
He uses the simplest thod to remind the Etherna who created them.
And as easily as He could create them, that is how easy it was for Him to destroy them
But there is always a test. He would not destroy a race without first sending a warning, sending a warner, a ssenger.
But the ssenger when he ca, he was mocked. He was slandered. He was killed. He was tortured.
Yet The One And Only was very patient.
He was very forgiving.
That is sothing he understand after more ti had passed.
One after the other, warner, ssengers ca. With each warner and ssengers ignored, the End is coming for them
And when The One decided to roll it out, to break all of the plans, then there was nothing the Etherna could really do
But even that....that was the precursor to a more elaborate plan.
The All Source was created at that ti.
Knowing the One, how could He not know what the All Source would be able to create
The cause and effect that the All Source would bring to the new Universe without Etherna.
Borgan, him, Azul, the Sorcerer, the One-Eyed Wanderer, the Gardener, all of it, how could it escape Him gaze and how could it escape His knowledge?
Wargod sighed and let go of all this thoughts.
Azief who was beside Wargod could not expect the ntal journey that Wargod had just undertaken
He is just looking at the temple
Wargod look at the temple.
But what he saw and what Azief saw is probably different.
Different lifeform, different power and realm.....so obviously the things that they see is different
"Will you co with ?" Azief asked and Wargod was about to co in and he was just about take that step when he halted.
"this....." he halted because he rember sothing
And ancient mory.
He shakes his head and he look at the sky. He smiles and shakes his head
"Let him go. It is his journey!" That voice echoes again in his head. In his ears. And suddenly everything made sense.
And he laughed
He look back at Azief and he tilted his head to the left a bit and shakes his head
"It couldn’t be....could it?" he mutters to himself
Even now, he could not believe it. Suddenly, right at this mont, he was reminded of that matter.
Eons ago, ages ago, when he fought in the War, the Last War, the War of the End and Beginning, Borgan shouted this word to him
He was holding on to Yurgan.
A void was about to swallow him whole.
But Borgan shouted these words even after Yurgan had already been absorbed into that void.
At that ti, Wargod only think that Borgan might have seen a diffraction of ti dilation making it seems like he did not yet release Yurgan
But how could it be so coincidental that right now, just right now, at this mont, just when he was thinking of entering the Temple with Azief, these words that he had long forgotten echoes again in his ears and in his mories.
No, nothing is a coincidence.
There is fate and destiny in this matter.
Borgan said all of these words a long ti ago....was it because she wanted to implant the thought in him.
It is sothing that Borgan could do.
