Jose Floyd’s fingers were sowhat cool as he held her hand, and after a few seconds, he calmly said, "Go and learn the piano, your fingers are beautiful, they should be suitable."
"Okay, if you like it, I’ll learn," she replied softly.
"You’re very obedient and gentle," he comnted, "As long as you don’t cause trouble, aren’t overly spoiled and make unreasonable demands, maybe I’ll keep you around for a lifeti."
She nodded, a slight smile on her face, "If you’re good to , I can do that too."
There was a mischievous hint of humor in her smile, and as he looked at her, the corners of his mouth involuntarily lifted into a faint smile, "Keeping you might be much more interesting than keeping a pet."
Nicole’s hand resting in Jose Floyd’s palm stiffened slightly.
This man was very dangerous, and at the sa ti, very ruthless and indifferent. Keeping her by his side was just like having another pet.
And what he wanted was probably a well-behaved and obedient pet.
The next morning, Camden sent Nicole off to school for registration, and she signed up for a piano extended class.
It was to stay an extra hour each day after school for piano lessons.
Returning from school to Jose Floyd’s villa, she had dinner with him, and while she was doing her howork in her room, Camden ca up, his gaze assessing her for a mont before he opened his mouth in a deep voice, "Miss Nicole, the Young Master is by the swimming pool, he requests your presence."
"Okay." She packed her howork into her shoulder bag.
She went downstairs to the poolside. The person in the pool was swimming with various strokes, and she stood quietly by the side waiting.
It was the first ti she was seeing a man wearing only swim trunks up close, and Nicole’s cheeks blushed slightly as she awkwardly looked away.
Suddenly, she heard the sound of water along with a cold voice, "Help dry off."
Nicole slowly turned back, looking at the man who had just co ashore, pursing her lips. Only when Camden gestured next to her did she realize that he was talking to her...
Camden handed the towel to her, and Nicole, with slightly lowered eyes, walked toward the dripping wet Jose Floyd. With each step, her face beca even more flushed.
Standing in front of him, her breathing was tense as she held the towel, helping him dry his hair.
"How was school today?" he asked.
"Great, I’m adapting well. Thank you for your help," she smiled gently, her voice soft, her hands moving more delicately as she dried his hair.
"If you have any issues, tell Camden, he’ll help you solve them."
His tone was mild, but carried confidence and dominance, as if nothing could faze him, exuding an arrogance.
"Thank you."
"Can you swim?" His voice rang out coldly again.
She shook her head.
"Do you play any sports? Baseball? Or golf?"
She shook her head again.
He paused, looking at her beautiful fingertips, his tone unlike its original coldness, "Then what can you do?"
"I can eat!" she looked up, her eyes radiant like stars, lively and clear, responding very earnestly.
Not sure if she was seeing things or it was real, she clearly saw the corners of his mouth curl slightly, then he looked back at her with sowhat softened eyes, "Then tell Camden or the servants what you want to eat, and they’ll satisfy your wishes."
With that, he jumped back into the pool and started swimming again.
Nicole stood by the pool for quite a while, her legs and feet feeling a bit sore, so she squatted down by the edge, her gaze sowhat thoughtful.
At that mont, unbeknownst to her, soone had swum back beside her, and with a slender arm, grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the water.
