"Jose Floyd, I can’t swim!" Nicole was dragged into the water without any warning, and in her panic, she clutched tightly onto Jose Floyd’s arm, not daring to let go.
A montary gentle light flashed in Jose Floyd’s eyes. He reached out, wrapped his strong, powerful arm around Nicole’s waist, and pulled her into his embrace.
Initially frantic and scared, Nicole found comfort in being held and stabilized by soone. She looked at the person close to her, her cheeks flushed slightly, and her heart started to race uncontrollably.
"What are you afraid of? With here."
His voice was soft but gave her a calming magic. He was the first man besides Wade who told her ’with here,’ giving her comforting words to rely on.
Nicole was montarily lost, gazing deeply into Jose Floyd’s eyes.
"I’ll teach you to swim. Whatever you don’t know or want to learn, I’ll teach you."
His voice rang out again. Nicole snapped back to reality and nodded lightly, "Jose Floyd, thank you."
He said he would teach her to swim, and he really did, with great patience. Every ti he went swimming, he would always invite her to join.
It was a week after spending ti with Jose Floyd that the family’s housekeeper, Aunt Myres, told her so things.
All of Jose Floyd’s living and personal affairs were entrusted to her. Aunt Myres smiled and said, "Miss Nicole, you can call him Master Jose from now on, to be a little closer."
At that ti, Nicole was very naive, but she also knew she had signed a five-year servitude contract, so she could only say yes to all commands.
The next day, as usual, she went to school and was waiting at the school gate for the chauffeur to pick her up after class.
Jose Floyd had assigned a chauffeur specifically to take her to and from school. The chauffeur was punctual and she could always see him waiting at the school gate when her classes ended.
But today, the chauffeur hadn’t arrived, perhaps delayed by sothing. Nicole stood at the gate waiting.
Just then, a male classmate, Jaxon Sterling, also happened to exit the school gate. He encountered Nicole standing there and smiled to greet her, "Nicole, it’s late, want to go ho together?"
"I live in a different direction than you. You go ahead, Jaxon."
"It’s no problem. I don’t have anything to do anyway, and I can get ho from your place too, just a bit more walking. Co on, let’s go together. It’s getting dark, and it’s not safe for a girl to be alone."
Nicole noticed that the chauffeur hadn’t arrived yet, so she nodded at Jaxon’s cheerful invitation.
The two were chatting and laughing, just about to leave the school gate.
At that mont, a car suddenly stopped in front of them.
Jaxon looked sowhat confused at the luxury car parked crosswise in front of them. Nicole, however, showed a trace of surprise in her gaze.
She recognized the car; it was Jose Floyd’s.
Just as she was surprised, the rear window of the car was rolled down, and that stern face ca into view. "Get in."
Two cold words, devoid of warmth.
Unaware of the situation, Jaxon turned his head to look at Nicole and asked foolishly, "Nicole, who is this to you? So, you’re a rich girl."
"Not... Jaxon, I’m leaving now. See you tomorrow." Nicole, touched by the icy gaze of the person in the car, couldn’t guess the thoughts of the person inside. She bid farewell to Jaxon and quickly opened the car door and got in.
As the door closed, Jaxon’s voice ca through, "Nicole, see you tomorrow then."
Before Nicole could reply, Jose Floyd coldly said two words to Camden in the driver’s seat, "Drive!"
The car started, speeding away instantly, leaving Jaxon far behind.

"Why do you have ti to pick up today?" Nicole turned her head to look at the person beside her and asked.
