Jose Floyd replied coldly with a question: "Who is he?"
"Are you talking about Jaxon Sterling? He’s my classmate."
"What were you doing at the school gate just now?"
"He said he’d take ho, thinking it was late and I wouldn’t be safe going back. Jaxon is a really nice guy, cheerful, bright, and helpful, a perfect friend."

His voice carried a serious warning and anger. Nicole lowered her eyes slightly, speaking softly, "Jose, no. I just think you’re overthinking it."
Her calling him ’Jose’ made Jose Floyd pause for a mont. He pressed his thin lips together, leaned back in his seat, and didn’t speak again, with a sowhat heavy aura surrounding him.

While eating at the dinner table, Jose Floyd said nothing, his expression was very somber, causing Nicole, who originally wanted to talk about interesting things at school, to swallow her words and silently eat as well.

In their sight, Nicole, dressed in pajamas, approached. Jose Floyd’s gaze shifted slightly without a word, "Camden, leave!"
A domineering command, a cold tone. Camden imdiately lowered his eyes, not daring to look at anything he shouldn’t, and quickly left the room. As he passed by Nicole, he deliberately kept a careful distance, avoiding any accidental brushes.
Camden left, closing the study door behind him.
Jose Floyd’s eyes were locked on Nicole, his expression deep, his voice questioning, "Who told you to dress like that?"
The sheer slip nightgown draped over her body barely concealed her not-yet-fully-developed figure, causing his gaze to deepen.
Nervously, Nicole clutched her nightgown, a bit at a loss, "Is it wrong? But Aunt Myres said if I dressed like this, you wouldn’t be angry...."
