Arlo Seys looked at her reddened eyes, her entire being as if pulled from water, in a disheveled state, with not a trace of compassion in his eyes. His throat rolled slightly, and he coldly spat out a word towards Ariel Morris, "Yes."
An unfeeling answer, words devoid of warmth.
Ariel Morris tugged at the corner of her mouth with a faint smile, a smile filled with tears and pallor, as she gazed at Arlo Seys’ familiar, handso face. The person clearly so close, why did he feel so far away, unattainable as if across the ends of the earth?
Ariel Morris’ heart was bitterly distressed, forcibly pushing herself to muster a faint smile, then softly, with a slightly hoarse voice, said to Arlo Seys, "Alright, as you wish."
"Arlo Seys, eight years ago... I’m sorry. I know a ’sorry’ can’t undo the harm you suffered, nor can it earn your forgiveness."
"This apology, eight years late, I hope you can accept it."
"Arlo Seys, your hatred towards is justified. But, can I ask you one last thing? Don’t add insult to injury..."
"I’ll find another way, do my best to save the Morris Clan, I won’t cling to you anymore. But could you, please, show so rcy? Don’t go after the Morris Clan."
After saying this, Ariel Morris turned and left.
She had no courage to plead with Arlo Seys again, nor the courage to hear Arlo Seys’ rejection once more.
She had tried her best, if Arlo Seys wanted to strike against the Morris Clan, she couldn’t stop it, nor did she have the strength to resist.

Ariel Morris hurriedly exited the office.
Dawn Sutherland was in the outside secretarial area of the executive office discussing matters with Callan Walkers, and seeing Ariel Morris co out with reddened eyes, Dawn quickly stepped forward with furrowed brows to inquire, "Ariel, you and Arlo..."

Dawn Sutherland watched her slightly trembling back and sighed deeply, then beckoned Callan to join him in Arlo Seys’ office to discuss business.
As Dawn Sutherland pushed open the office door, seeing the ssy files scattered on the floor inside, his brows furrowed even tighter.
As a special assistant, Callan was also montarily stunned at the interior scene, quickly got down to responsibly organize the scattered docunts.
Inside, there was only the slight sound of Callan organizing the papers.
Dawn Sutherland walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the back of Arlo Seys, sighed slightly, "Arlo, why not help Ariel? Maybe...now if you two tried to be together, it might work out well?"
Arlo Seys looked at the bustling city teeming with streams of cars outside the window, a loneliness and desolation in his eyes.
"The taste of no return, once is enough."
Callan had just finished organizing the files and stood up, hearing this sentence, he looked up incredulously at his boss standing in front of the window.
Why did he feel that this boss, who seemingly had everything, noble birth sought after by so many lifelong, had such a lonely and desolate back at this mont? Making one feel heartache and pity?

"Arlo..." Dawn Sutherland paused as he looked at Arlo Seys, finally unable to resist asking, "Do you still love Ariel?"
