Dawn Sutherland scanned around with her eyes but did not see Aidan Sutherland and that woman. Coldly, she lifted her leg and got into the car.
Returning to the car, Dawn Sutherland saw a ticket plastered on her car. She grabbed the ticket and got in, her gaze deepening terrifyingly.
Starting the car, she turned the steering wheel and left. Dawn Sutherland hesitated for a long ti, took out her phone, and scrolled through her contacts, stopping above the na ’Daisy’ for a long ti, her expression complex.
If she told Daisy, would it break her heart?
If she didn’t tell her, and that woman ended up with Aidan, what would happen to Daisy after the marriage?
Would she spend her days weeping with sorrow?
Thinking of the gentle Daisy Grant, Dawn’s anger towards Aidan reached its peak: "Aidan Sutherland! How incredibly lucky you are to have the girl I cherish! Why don’t you treasure her?! Such a wonderful girl, why don’t you treasure her?!"
Dawn Sutherland hesitated for a long ti before finally dialing Daisy Grant’s number.
When the phone rang, Dawn Sutherland’s heart leaped with tension.
How should she bring this up to Daisy Grant? How should she make Daisy not feel so sad?
As Dawn Sutherland pondered, the phone kept ringing. No one answered. She fell silent for a mont and then dialed the Grant family’s landline. This ti it was quickly answered, but not by Daisy’s voice. It was a servant.
"Hello, who is this?"
"This is Dawn Sutherland."
"Second Young Master Sutherland, hello." The servant’s voice replied.
"Hello, is Daisy at ho?" Dawn Sutherland asked calmly over the phone.
"Miss is sick and sleeping upstairs. Do you need to wake her up, Second Young Master Sutherland?"
"Sick? Since when?" Dawn’s voice rose a notch but quickly returned to a low tone, saying, "Let her rest well, don’t wake her."
"Alright."
After hanging up, Dawn Sutherland deepened her gaze and drove towards the Grant family residence.
Arriving at the Grant family’s place, she parked her car at the entrance and walked straight to ring the doorbell.
The servant, who opened the door and saw Dawn Sutherland, looked surprised: "Second Young Master Sutherland, didn’t you just call to inquire about Miss? Why are you here so soon?"
Dawn Sutherland pressed her lips together, her complexion unchanged, and replied calmly, "I just happened to be driving by here, so I thought I’d co in to see."
The servant opened the door to invite Dawn Sutherland in, without a hint of doubt about her words.
Once inside, Dawn saw Daisy’s parents sitting in the living room and imdiately greeted them with polished elegance: "Uncle Grant, Aunt Grant."
Both spouses of the Grant family seed surprised to see Dawn Sutherland; since Daisy had gone abroad, this Second Young Master had not visited the Grant family.
Sophie Brown looked at Dawn and smiled slightly: "Dawn, it’s been a while since you visited us. Please stay for dinner; when you and Daisy were younger, you interacted frequently, but as you’ve grown, contact has lessened. Since Daisy will marry into the Sutherland family, we’re all family. Don’t be shy or formal, co visit often."
Dawn’s eyes lowered slightly as she gently nodded.
Roo Grant looked at Dawn Sutherland with a calm deanor, his face and eyes revealing little emotion: "I heard you resigned from the Sutherland family’s company to start your own business outside?"
Dawn nodded, her deep gaze directed at Roo Grant.
"The future of City C belongs to you young people," Roo swallowed so words but casually added, "Daisy is resting upstairs, so since you’re here to check on her, go upstairs. It’s beneficial for her recovery if you young folks chat more."
"Alright." Dawn nodded courteously towards Daisy’s parents and headed upstairs.
Sophie Brown watched Dawn’s slender figure and couldn’t help but murmured, "This Dawn seems quite nice, always gracious and sensible. He’s good to our Daisy too. It’s unfortunate that our future in-laws Selah Sutton and Asher Sutherland don’t favor Dawn. Otherwise, with cultivation, the Sutherland enterprise wouldn’t dare underestimate him in the future. I quite like this child."
Sophie Brown glanced towards the second floor with a smile.
