With that said, Di Xiaxia turned stubbornly and walked towards the stairs.
Di Mingzhe’s heavy steps ca to a sudden halt. His spine stiffened, and his heart pricked painfully. It hurt, it hurt so bad!
Is she really leaving?
Will they never et again?
Why hurt so much that it feels ripping through the heart?
He never knew that it could be so painful to let go of soone for real.
Indeed, it hurts to hear such final words from the one you care about.
That uncontrollable sense of sorrow quickly spread to every sense, even making it hard to breathe.
Suddenly, he regretted his words, regretted telling her to leave, and saying that he never wanted to see her again.
How could he never see her again?
Di Mingzhe abruptly turned his head, just to catch a glimpse of Di Xiaxia’s slender figure heading towards the staircase without a hint of hesitation.
He took a deep breath, wanting to call out to her yet fearing it would be of no use.
He could only watch as the woman he had loved for twenty years walked away from him, step by step, gradually disappearing from his sight.
His dark eyes focused on her back, the sight of it growing increasingly blurry.
Is she just leaving with bare feet, wearing only a shirt, for everyone to see?
Although she was always seen to be buoyant, simple-minded, and occasionally absent-minded, he didn’t realize she could be so stubborn!
