Chapter 1249: First Human-2
Anthony remained a spectator as the First Human battled various races and emerged victorious. The First Human observed them, learned in the middle of battle, and adapted on the fly. He learned magic during bat, questioned the understanding and concept behind the Dragon Tongue, and even questioned why only Dragons could wield it.
He did this until the First Human used the Dragon Tongue against the Dragons themselves.
“What if?” “Question.” “Curiosity.”
These three seemed to bee the First Human’s greatest backing, the very pillars that shaped him into the man he would bee.
Anthony watched as the First Human remained nameless. Others asked for his name, but he gave none. Others asked who had taught him and where he had e from, as they had never seen either him or his kind before, but he gave no answer.
Anthony watched as the First Human finally settled upon a single name; Human.
He had named himself Human, not as a race, but as a sense of identity after years of contemplation. Yet that singular name would eventually give birth to countless more.
As Anthony watched, he couldn’t help but wonder how a second Human was supposed to e into existence. Another unknown spark like the First Human? He didn’t know. But if a second spark had never been born, then how had Humanity as a race e into existence after the First Human?
The First Human seemed to finally achieve a level of power that eclipsed everything the Universe had to offer. Yet he didn’t leave. Instead, he stood still, his head slowly turning as his black eyes focused directly in Anthony’s direction.
Anthony arched an eyebrow as he wondered what exactly the First Human was looking at. He turned around, but nothing was behind him. He turned back toward the First Human, only to finally realize that the First Human wasn’t looking past him.
He was looking at… him… at Anthony.
Black eyes met sky-blue ones.
Anthony had no words. He couldn’t prehend how the First Human was actually able to perceive him. He was simply too stunned by the sudden turn of events.
But as Anthony stared into those ancient eyes that he had gazed upon across millions of years, he saw only one thing… Endless curiosity.
Before Anthony could even react or utter a single word, the First Human raised his hand, offering a handshake. Anthony instinctively raised his own hand and accepted it. The moment their hands met, the First Human spoke in a tone that carried immeasurable wisdom and profound understanding.
“Do not seek to bee the greatest Human. Bee the Human from whom another beginning is born.”
The instant those words settled within Anthony’s ears, the First Human dissolved into countless motes of light. They surged toward Anthony like an endless river, each one carrying memories, failures, discoveries, triumphs, and dreams accumulated throughout the First Human’s entire existence.
Anthony’s hand remained extended outward even after the First Human had vanished from existence within the vision he was witnessing.
Anthony felt every emotion the First Human had ever experienced. The pain of his very first injury. The moment he discovered the concept of crying. The day he discovered clothing. The first time he understood sleep.
Anthony sighed and looked up at the sky, but the moment he did, everything seemed to vanish. In the very next instant, he found himself back within his own body. He was surrounded by a cocoon of green energy, which immediately shattered outward the moment his consciousness fully returned.
Anthony slowly floated downward, no longer naked, as with a single thought, his Universal Clothing materialized around him once more in the form of a white robe. Anthony felt his body brim with absurd strength, greater power than he had ever experienced before. His mental capacity and mental strength had reached an entirely new domain.
Anthony stood in silence as he reminisced about everything the First Human had gone through. Although he had watched the First Human’s journey across millions of years, only a couple of minutes had passed in reality, as that was all the time Anthony’s body had required to fully assimilate the Primordial Grade Bloodline.
Anthony couldn’t help but wonder if Klaus had witnessed the same scene he had. He wondered what Klaus had thought of the First Human at the time.
‘To think Human was the name the First Human gave himself, and not the name he had given to the race,’ Anthony mused to himself.
But at the same time, how could the First Human have named the Human race when he had been the only member of that race?
Anthony had no qualms with this. He didn’t particularly care how Humanity’s name had originated. It wasn’t as though it granted some sort of boost in power or anything of the sort. Besides, Human sounded perfect, which seemed rather ironic given the whole perfection and imperfection ordeal he had just witnessed.
‘But still… how did the second Human e into existence? I’m sure it was definitely a woman this time,’ Anthony thought to himself. He couldn’t help but feel as though he had just been left hanging on the greatest cliffhanger to ever exist.
‘Tsk, curse my own strength and body. If I had spent hours instead of mere minutes assimilating the Primordial Grade Bloodline, I might have witnessed even more. But because I woke up so quickly, the vision simply ended,’ Anthony clicked his tongue in plaint as his own body had inadvertently worked against him.
‘Sigh… imagine spending all that time as a virgin,’ Anthony shook his head at the absurd thought.
‘Maybe I can use Thought Conception to uncover the remaining secrets. The Second Human, their name, their origin, and their birth,’ he thought to himself.
But the moment Anthony entertained that thought, he couldn’t help but imagine the ridiculous possibility of the Second Human being another man, which would consequently force the First Human into being gay simply because he didn’t want to die of blue balls.
‘Such outlandish thoughts… I need to purify my brain,’ Anthony immediately admonished himself.
He immediately decided to stop thinking before another absurd idea could emerge and instead activated Thought Conception to uncover the secrets he sought. But the very moment he did, Anthony felt blood flow from his nose, eyes, and ears before he violently coughed up a mouthful of blood.
He immediately cut off his Thought Conception ability. His vision became blurry, as though he were finally about to die, but his Infinite Regeneration ability immediately snapped into place, restoring him to his peak condition in an instant.
Even with his newly enhanced mental capacity and strength, it still wasn’t enough to pry into the secrets of Old.
