Chapter 1250: First Human-3
Anthony rose to his feet, his breathing gradually steadying as he wiped the blood from his face. His Origin Essence coursed through his body as he cleansed himself.
‘Damn, even my strengthened mental capacity isn’t enough,’ Anthony thought to himself as he couldn’t help but imagine just how much stronger the First Human had bee after reaching the limits of his own Universe and stepping beyond it.
Anthony couldn’t help but wonder how he would have performed if he had been the First Human. Would he have brought Humanity to this level? Would he have made all those discoveries? Would he have discovered fire? Would he have found a way to sharpen stone in order to create weapons to fight beasts and monsters? Would he have been able to discover a magical energy without knowing what it was, without any prior knowledge whatsoever?
Anthony heaved a sigh. Truly, the First Human was the most talented individual to ever exist. No cheat, no Bloodline, no Physique, just pure curiosity that had carried him all the way to the very top.
‘Do not seek to bee the greatest Human.’
Anthony mused as he remembered a part of the First Human’s words. Being the greatest Human had never been Anthony’s goal. His goal had always been the peak, while also enjoying the journey toward it. If he couldn’t enjoy the journey, then there was no peak worth reaching in the first place.
‘Maybe it was after passing it on to his first child that the grading of Bloodlines came about,’ Anthony guessed as his hair danced gently with the rhythm of the wind.
‘I also wonder how strong and talented his children must have been pared to him,’ Anthony mused to himself.
After all, as the direct descendants of the First Human, their talents should have been the closest to their father’s.
‘Is he still alive…?’ Anthony thought to himself.
Although it was said that two people possessing the Primordial Grade Bloodline couldn’t exist at the same time, there was always a first time for everything. He, Anthony, was the perfect example. After all, he and Klaus now possessed the same Bloodline Grade thanks to The Unbound’s sheer power and ability.
If two could exist, why not three?
Besides, the First Human might not even be counted. After all, he wouldn’t exactly possess a Primordial Grade Bloodline, as the man himself was the Progenitor of that Bloodline.
Anthony couldn’t help but wonder if the First Human could spy on, sense, control, or do anything he wished to every Human. After all, in a sense, they were all his children, every single one of them stemming from his blood.
Anthony, being ever the cautious and overthinking individual, couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if the First Human suddenly turned evil. What if he decided to annihilate the very race he himself had created with his own two hands simply because he had grown bored or had descended into madness? And if the man truly was bored, he could simply wipe out all Humans and create a new race on a whim, if such a feat was truly within the magnitude of his power and abilities.
Anthony was tempted to use Thought Conception to ask whether the First Human was still alive, but he hadn’t forgotten that he had almost died merely from trying to uncover other ancient secrets.
Anthony first decided to play it safe and ask the system.
‘Hey, System, is the First Human still alive?’ he asked.
[Ding]
[The system has nothing to do with the First Human. Hence, the system cannot give a definitive answer]
The system chimed as it replied.
‘e on, System. You’ve helped me many times. Why chicken out now? It’s just the First Human, not a big deal for you,’ Anthony replied.
The system had helped him on numerous occasions, such as during his battle with Aaaninja at the Starborn Tournament, where it had helped him go back in time after Aaaninja had also traveled back in time.
The system simply remained unresponsive, as though it wanted absolutely nothing to do with this topic.
Anthony sighed, and the next moment, his Inscription Pen appeared in his hand as he immediately began drawing a Rune Formation that increased mental strength and mental capacity. This way, even if he received another backlash like before, its severity would hopefully be reduced.
The Rune Formation Anthony had just drawn was of the Twelve-Star Grade, meaning it existed on the Universal scale. That was simply how curious Anthony was.
With that done, Anthony immediately activated Thought Conception and asked his question once again. The moment he did, an enormous force slammed into his mind. Anthony immediately tried to divide the pain among his Thought partments, but it was utterly useless as he began coughing up blood once again.
Even with a Twelve-Star Rune Formation supporting his mind, Anthony received another wave of backlash, one far more severe than the previous one. But Anthony endured. He immediately accessed the System and purchased a potion that multiplied mental capacity by a minimum factor of two and a maximum factor that remained unknown. Fortunately, he still had some points remaining for the month, as he hadn’t spent them.
Anthony immediately drank the potion, and in the very next moment, his mental strength skyrocketed.
Tenfold. One hundredfold. One thousandfold. One hundred thousandfold. One millionfold.
The increase immediately reached its current peak, and at that exact moment, Anthony finally received a single answer.
Yes.
Anthony immediately deactivated Thought Conception. He immediately destroyed the Rune Formation. The moment he did, the effect of the potion vanished, and he immediately collapsed to his knees, his Infinite Regeneration activating as, in the very next moment, he pitched forward and landed face-first upon the ground.
Anthony had fainted as a result of overwhelming shock and catastrophic mental strain. Strain because he had pushed his mind beyond its absolute limits. Shock because the First Human had just been confirmed to still be alive to this very day.
